Mania is one of Shadow Stalker's acolytes, first introduced during Operation: Shadow Debt. He takes the form of Loki with an Immortal Skin, wearing Stalker's helmet and a Daedalus Shoulder Plate.
As of Update 29.5 (2020-11-19), Mania can now spawn in The Steel Path missions.
Tactics[]
Mania battles with Scorn, a custom Lacera, launching its grappling hook at unsuspecting Tenno. He can also stun Tenno using
Switch Teleport, and cast
Turbulence to shield himself from gunfire. His melee attacks are capable of
Lifting his targets, leaving them vulnerable as he slices away.
Quotes[]
- "I see you are still their servants."
- "Who do you hunt?"
- "Our fight is not with you Tenno."
- "We will return. We will complete this judgement."
Trivia[]
- Mania's Lacera uses its Acolyte Skin, while Mania himself uses Loki's Immortal Skin and Stalker's helmet.
- If Mania is using Turbulence but gunfire is forced to hit Mania through extraneous circumstances, Turbulence will manifest as an invisible wall, complete with bullet hole decals similar to when gunfire hits the environment.

Patch History[]
Hotfix 29.5.4 (2020-11-25)
- Acolytes have been given the fancy “boss Health bar” treatment!
Update 29.5 (2020-11-19)
- THE STEEL PATH: ACOLYTES JOIN THE BATTLE & MORE!
- As you play in any Steel Path mission, Acolytes will spawn and attack - defeating the Acolyte grants a guaranteed drop of 2 Steel Essence. Beware! If you get downed by an Acolyte, they'll escape and you won’t receive any Steel Essence!
- The Steel Path Acolytes now have received the same Status Effect eligibility treatment that Liches received in Update 27.3 earlier this year. This means we have slightly increased their health (scaled by squad size) as the Status Effect eligibility makes them easier to kill.
- In essence (ha), there is virtually no RNG with Steel Essence anymore. Acolytes will always appear in regular missions (Endlessly in Endless missions.). The time at which they choose to appear may be a bit random, but if you kill mobs, they will come!
- Please note, Acolytes won't spawn in Archwing missions on the Steel Path.
Hotfix 18.4.1 (2016-01-25)
- Introduced.

Just had Mania spawn into my mission.
He juggled me for a solid 45 seconds where I could do absolutely nothing. I landed a few times but was instantly juggled with no chance to cast any abilities.
Fortunately I was playing as Wukong and my clone was able to deal enough damage over that entire juggle time that I got off one Tenet Envoy rocket after being juggled constantly and was able to kill him.
I'm master rank 3 and have done tons of SP. I've not been constantly ragdolled like that ever.
Mania is a steaming pile oh horse dung, imo. One of the worst excuses for difficulty I can think of.
Bro this bitch just turbulanced my own projectile at me and 1 shot me :/
Kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk
Perfectly balanced, as all things should be.
So I just had a case where I ragdolled him as mag with the bubble, it completely broke his ai and forced him to stay in the ragdoll state...
I hate this guy. Feels like you need a frame with status immunity to fight him because you can't go into melee without getting bullied and you can't shoot him because of his turbulence nonsense.
Decided to use Revenant and this fucker stun locked me through all mesmer skin charges
I keep an on-call specter in stock just for this guy. Mania yields to the Kuva Tonkor on steroids at the hands of an NPC.
IDK why, but this guy spawned then despawned a few seconds later even though I didn't die.
2.5 years later and I just had the same problem lol
I just lost a hijack mission because Mania teleported me from the last gate back to the entry console where you call the escort target and ragdolled me to death. What the fuck
Any one know their Base-armor value?
I fear no grineer, but that... thing... It scares me.
Seriously. Whenever I see that Mania is calling me during a steel path run testing out builds, I can only run around like a headless chicken and try my best not to get a single hit from him or otherwise I'm a dead Inaros a minute later.
One miss and I can just sit back and watch my Inaros helplessly floating around taking more hits here and there until he finally die.
If Mania can use lift on us like that, allow us to lift him, too. That's only fair!
So annoying. Just made me extract by switch teleport
The ragdoll effect on this guy is too much. as soon as you stand up you are thrown again. its constant, especially when trying to face an npc with massive amounts of armour, is literally bullet proof and can only be dealt with at close range or with AoE weapons. i dont mind ragdoll but give me 15 seconds to stand up and relocate. if their ability spamming is to reflect that of tenno, then they can run out of energy too!
His lifts work through Primed Sure Footed, it's pretty sucky at best
Just go to operator mode, easy.
The "genius" above who pretends to be smart, aco can prevent you from going into operator form and you can't cast skill.
Rolling sideways helps if you're tanky enough to take the 3-4 hits he gives you.
That Switch Teleport is a 100% death unless you are a monkey or Nidus to avoid it passively. It goes through Primed Sure Footed and then you can do nothing but watch it killing you no matter how beefy you are.
Kinda annoying on the Steel Path. He spams Turbulence and the second he gets within melee range he ragdolls you. I just ended up using Magus Lockdown and kiting.
Why wouldn't this page mention that it's a limited event? Are noobs just supposed to know that? Isn't this where they would come to find out?
Well, events in this game are all limited. Taking a look at the event page should tell you that. Fortunately, the Acolytes are now all permanent opponents in the game. Unfortunately, they only show up in the Steel Path, which means they are always at a very high level.
No not just steel path, just had one on orb vallis free roaming.
His gimmick is spam stunning the warframe endlessly while being completely immune to damage half the time. Your melee build will not work, he'll keep you stunned until you die. Even if he takes half an hour to kill some of the actually tanky frames, that just means you're stunned for half an hour. Only cheese mechanics work (one shot him as he spawns or die).
lmao casual alert I guess,
>completely immune to damage
He's not. He's only immune to gunfire when using Turbulance. Ability damage and melee works just fine
Maybe since he's level 100+, but 3 shot me as Inaros with 8k HP.
becarefull for solo player, she will spam stun ability.
Play octavia , press 3, spam crouch, press 1 , GROFIT
It spawns as level 40.
Easy way to track Acolytes: https://acolyte.draak.online/
Click twice on the sound icon in the left top to hear the ping when it appears/disappears.
where?
He just dropped an orokin cell for my group in addition to the mod. The others noticed it as well. Weird.
Can't be some cell laying on the ground from another enemy because he spawned before the elevator during interception in Ceres.
