Cat's EyeAdarza Kavat grants increased critical chance to all nearby Tenno for a short duration.
ReflectAdarza Kavat will occasionally reflect and amplify damage back to an enemy.

- COMPANION STAT CHANGES
Two broad changes have been made with regard to your Companion's base stats to increase their staying power:
1. Health, Shields and Armor have been refactored across the board.
This simple numeric buff was made with the goal of increasing Companion survivability. This also means that the choice of whether to use, for example, Enhanced Vitality or Linked Vitality, will depend on your Warframe choice instead of the Linked Mod always being strictly superior.
2. Non-Sentinel Companions now gain their full Health and Shield values immediately when you acquire them.
Historically Health and Shield values would increase as your Companion ranked up, which you could see as "Rank Bonuses" in the Upgrades screen. We've removed this behavior and simply given Companions what would end up being their Rank 30 values at Rank 0. This should let you immediately take your Companions on more difficult missions after earning them!
Including both the removal of Companion Rank bonuses, and the base increase to stats, the following lists the stat changes for all Companions at Rank 0:

Is this good now or should I try and get a new one?
It's probably quite good for offense and some kavat utility mods.
But smeeta has it's occasional affinity/resource boost, which is pretty game breaking, think it's worth trying to get one.
Think adarza always was good, but it doesn't have smeeta buff and in the past they didn't have fetch or vacuum.
While 60% flat crit is pretty solid Vulpaphylas made all other companions (that aren't a Smeeta or a Helios) pretty much obsolete at higher levels. An immortal pet that spams viral version of Spores *and* can save you from dying? That's hard to top.
I hope I won't get one that is like Cataclysm...

Even a 5 formaed max health and armor cat dies so easily. One eidolon stomp and they're dead. revives here and there every seconds even with spam bless build trin.
Eidolon stomp if you are under their feet are one shot lol
That's why everyone runs the 2 minute revive build :P
Sad thing is how you should run Inraos, Nidus, or Hildryn. The first two have got to amke link health work, while link shield is op combined with Hildryn.
You need the Tek assault to make it last abit more

Just RNG. I bred my first kavat ever and it happens to be an Adarza.
On the contrary, you would have been very lucky since you would have bred 4 Smeeta kavats... right?
I probably shouldnt post about smeeta being my first kavat made and i thought it was just a trick or a low quality kavat and sidelined him for like a month >.>
Adarza still available? I've made like 5-6 kavats, but all of them are smeetas. Or am I just having bad luck?

I still have the same issue. I'm not seeing it in the codex. I thought DE got rid of Adarza Kavats until I confirmed with a buddy that he still has his. Must be a bug/something they overlooked.
It appears after you breed your first Adarza. At least that's what happened in MY codex ;)

Kavats dont have eggs, you need to get their genetic codes through scanning them.

four out of five of my kavats are adarzas, so maybe next time
guess i was fortunate, 2 attempts, 1 Smeeta and 1 Adarza. Now if only RNG was that kind to me in other parts of the game....
Of the five Kavats I've bred, all five were Advarzas... Kinda like how my first six Kubrows were Raksas... Hell, I didn't stop getting Raksas until my friend gave me imprints for a Sahasa, now I never get Raksas. I'm not convinced it's the same chance across the board for any breed of anything... This is plain ludicrous!
Nope, doesn't stand a chance against Smeeta in terms of usefulness. I'm getting around 10 neurodes per run on earth in pretty much any mission xD
the only complain I have about this havat is that the crit chance it gives doesn't work with some abilities like mesa's peacemaker
