Lua is the Earth's moon, accessible as a location in the Star Chart. Once the seat of the Orokin Empire's power during their reign, it is now shattered and broken, scarred by the Old War. Formerly hidden away by the Lotus to protect the Tenno's secret, recent events have led to the reemergence of this lost celestial body, and now its fragmented remains are fought over by the Grineer and the
Corpus, with
Sentient fighters lurking about.
Lua can only be unlocked after a player completes The Second Dream. Both Grineer and Corpus contest possession of the moon since its reappearance, leading to Lua being the only other location, besides Mars and Mercury, that has (permanent) Crossfire missions. Sentients also appear in any of the missions, scanning for the player's presence and deploying fighters once detected.
The Orokin Moon Tileset serves as the primary environment for Lua.

Unique Enemies[]
- Sentient units can be found and fought on this moon. Combat against them revolves around their ability to adapt themselves to the damage dealt by the player's weapons and abilities, requiring Tenno to have multiple types of damage (both physical and elemental) in their loadouts, or use
Void damage to strip Sentients of their damage resistances.
- Corrupted Wardens can be found in "Lua Rescue" missions.
- Orokin Spectators can be found in "Lua Spy" missions.
- Unique Thrax enemy variants spawn in "Conjunction Survival" missions every rotation, with Hollow variants spawning in Yuvarium and Lua variants in Circulus.

Notes[]
- During Mobile Defense missions, the presence of Sentient fighters – Conculysts and Battalysts – will disrupt the Lotus' terminal hacking progress. Any Sentients must be killed before the terminal hacking can resume.
- Neurodes appear to drop more commonly than on Earth, Eris and the Orokin Derelict. Sentient fighters in particular have a very high chance of dropping Neurodes when killed.
- Completing Spy Missions on Lua will have a chance to drop one of the following Acolyte mods from Operation: Shadow Debt:
Blood Rush,
Hydraulic Crosshairs,
Shrapnel Shot,
Focused Defense, or
Catalyzer Link.
- If someone hasn't completed The Second Dream and tries to access any mission on Lua (via taxi or otherwise), they will be prompted to complete it before continuing and will be kicked from the party. Other party members who qualify will still be able to run the mission.
Octavia Systems blueprint can be awarded from Lua Crossfire Exterminate Caches.
- Lua features the Orokin Moon tileset on which the so-called Halls of Ascension can be found. Those reward the Drift Mods.
- Besides the Halls of Ascension, there are other puzzle rooms like the Lua Music Puzzle and the Arboriform room where the player encountered the Shadow Stalker during The Second Dream. The Lua Music Puzzle rewards the
Octavia Chassis Blueprint and occasionally a Forma.
- Demolishers units in Disruption have a chance of dropping
Somatic Fibers, an essential component for crafting Lua lenses.
Trivia[]
- Lua is Portuguese and Galician for "Moon" and resembles the Latin name Luna. The name Luna is also used in verbal English to distinguish between Earth's Moon and moons as a kind of celestial body. e. g. "Luna is Earth's only moon" as opposed to "The Moon is Earth's only moon".
- Missions on Lua are named after various craters on the Moon: Apollo, Copernicus, Grimaldi, Pavlov, Plato, Stöfler, Tycho, Von Zeipel.
- The craters are in turn named after historically significant physicists, astronomers, philosophers, and other important figures in the scientific field.
- The crater & node Apollo is also named after the Apollo Program.
- The positioning of the missions on Lua form a crescent shape.
- Before Update: Specters of the Rail 0.0 (2016-07-08), Lua was the name of a node on Earth, and the Orokin Moon missions introduced in Update 18.0 (2015-12-03) were considered Earth nodes. Specters of the Rail update subsequently moved the Orokin Moon missions to its own location, with the Lua node being renamed Cervantes as its previous name was then used for the new star chart location.
- The name Lua for the Earth's Moon was foreshadowed by dialogue in The Second Dream, named as the place where the "rejects were consigned", likely referring to the Tenno.
- While Lua's post-Orokin dimensions are unclear, the Moon is larger than Phobos, Ceres, Europa, Pluto, Sedna, and Eris.
- Circulus, Lua has the highest level of all non-Steel Path non-Sortie/Archon Hunt Star Chart missions, ranging from level 80-100.

Is this room have anything to do with tenno? Lotus say we have unfinished business here.
Voruna lore
Ha, unfortunate, I like the puzzle on Lua, this one should be too.
The lore and history is gone?
Ik its the same across the wiki for the lore
Apollo now requires war within for no reason
They're never going to fix enemy spawning on Lua Exterminate...
If you did not know, lua is named after the Soviet Luna programme
Nope lua isn't spanish for moon... Luna is spanish for moon.
Lua is Moon in Portuguese
Thats neat
Real
Any idea on how an open world Lua location would work?
It could probably be a mix of the outside moon environment with some Orokin buildings that you could explore. maybe some tall towers that are linked to the golden cage thing surrounding it. There could also be a lot of underground caverns that have been exposed due tot he constant earthquakes.
How does Lua not fall apart?
O h.
Oh indeed. Sprinkle some Void magic and voilà, moon's haunted.
Y e s
That had to be expensive as hell.
Am I unlucky or the drop rate of axi C6 in disruption is like 70%?
Are there always caches in crossfire exterminate and if so are they only found in rooms locked by puzzles or can they be anywhere.v
Lua spy is rape
or Wukong
Limbo makes it way too easy
*plays Lua spy with any frame for enjoyment*
good thing i just got infiltrate then xD
is this normal a friend is not getting any sentients in one hour and a half of survival on tycho?
Pretty sure they only show up on mobile defense
As of Warframe Revised, I have not had Sentients spawn on Tycho. Before this, they were 100%.
Anyone else?
Over a month late, but yes, same boat.
Also did you order the M peach/mint pie? I'm delivering, that'll cost you $20.20
With tax that’s $20.21
Do you accept Glorious corpus credits?
I have a thought for a part of the 'Trivia' section. Lua has the same resources as Earth, which I think is probably a nod to the fact that The Moon's composition is very similar to Earth's in real life.
Another thing, I also feel like Oculysts should be under the Sentient enemy category. Sure, you can't kill them, but they're still enemies and they're still sentients.
I agree. Added them to the list.
So which Bane and Smite mods do you use for Lua?
Corpus and Grineer.
None
Corrupted indeed
I completed the Second Dream quest and I still can't see Lua on the star chart. Is this wiki outdated?
try relogging ?
Lua wasn't hidden in the void by Lotus. Lotus was in Lua's belly too, like the tenno. Lua was hidden by Margulis to protect the tenno from orokins' hate.
How does Lotus being on Lua make it impossible for her to have shoved the moon into the void? If anything it makes it more likely as she'd hide herself by doing that as well.
dude you cant dispute something thats stated clearly in the game, lotus clearly says she hid the moon in the void
For the Lua spy mission where there is a console that pops out and requires hacking, DO NOT go right up to it and hack as once it hacks it will go immediately down forcing ur warframe down into it making you stuck and using the /unstuck command just brings you to same spot
. [im posting it here as i cant start a new topic on forum for some reason]
Damn... complaining all the time...
Can't you pass a single spy without stealth wfmes?
I see people ragging on this person for using Saryn Prime for a spy mission, but I think I'm the real villain here. I use Revenant in some spy missions, despite the fact that I own the Ash warframe.
I sometimes get lazy and just rush the console and use a cipher. I run past and thru all of the lasers once I feel I'm close enough.
Ok
Lua actually does appear in the Plains of Eidolon now
edited it just now
I thought that touch was really cool, and I am wondering what the Ostrons thought when that thing poped back into the sky!
Does the Hall of ascencion exist on the Plato Exterminate node? It's the one place I can go about more or less freely to look for caches and stuff, but haven't found one of those rooms there yet. Also, are these timed to close forever if failed? Or can you try again in the same mission?
And yeah, noob to this place, so I'm still getting used to the layout.
Found my answer myself. Already done the organ room, the room with the trees, the energy zap room and the stealth test. At least these can be easily soloed.
Per undo the recent trivia add:
Are you sure you know what the term 'coincidence' means? Because that implies DE chose some totally random name, and fantastically, it turned out to be a name for the Moon in a pretty widely spoken language.
Of course it's not a coincidence, and of course it's trivia. Pretty much all the names in Warframe are taken from different languages of world, and I actually find it really interesting to get to know the origin of each name.
