Heavy Gunners are cybernetically-enhanced female Grineer heavy infantry armed with
Gorgon machine-guns. Identified by their taller, thinner frame and female voice, Heavy Gunners are capable of laying down suppressing fire to support their teammates. If left unchecked, they can tear through players' shields and health very quickly, especially on Warframes with lighter armor.
Tactics[]
- With their
Gorgon their damage output gets high after ramping up, therefore it is advised to take cover when they are at their peak fire rate and attack them while they are reloading or just started shooting. - Heavy Gunners seldom fight their targets alone. One Heavy Gunner usually fights alongside a Lancer, a Shield Lancer, a Bombard, or another Gunner, allowing the Heavy Gunner to take time spooling her weapon as their targets face those with a greater threat.
- When getting close, she will do a radial blast attack, knocking down her enemies within a short radius. She can initiate this attack even while being knocked down or stunned with a crowd control elemental like
Electricity, so melee combat with the Heavy Gunner can prove difficult and sometimes frustrating, with you knocking them down, while they are still able to knock you down with their attack. Although they can use this ability repeatedly, there is a very long delay before it can be used again.

Trivia[]
- Prior to Update 11.0 (2013-11-20), all Grineer heavy units (Heavy Gunners included) used to sport shields. Update 11 removed these shields in favor of improved armor, largely making shields a Corpus-exclusive technology.
- As with most Drekar units, the Drekar variant of the Heavy Gunner wears a kerchief that covers the lower half of her face in lieu of a mask, unlike the other Heavy Gunner variants.
- Drekar Heavy Gunners were also more prone to dropping resources and mods compared to other Heavy Gunner variants, on top of dropping Orokin Cells along with their regular drops. This was rectified in Update 17.3 (2015-09-02).
- The Tusk Corps Heavy Gunner is armed with the
Grattler, thus being the first ground enemy equipped with an Archwing Weapon. They will only use this weapon at long range, however, and will switch to the
Kohmak sidearm for medium and close-range engagements. - The Arid and Frontier variants deals mostly
Slash as opposed to
Impact with their camo
Gorgons.

I am curious to find out if armor scaling is now the same with jade shadows update.
Seems that way. If max armor is 2700 they should hit that at like lvl 57. A quick ingame test shows that 57 has 90% damage reduction, 56 is pretty close, and 55 noticeably doesnt.
Elite Lancers seem to hit their max value earlier though, at like 100 instead of the 114 the old scaling would suggest. Maybe armor is also affected by the "After Level 75-80, enemies receive increased stats"?
You can pretty much assume that everything at Elite Lancer level has max armor in steel path.
(too lazy to test HP properly, but that appears to be like 3x as much at like lvl 120 steel path? hurts armor strip frames a good chunk)
So like at lvl 9999 at steel path, they have 3x more hp than before? That will hurt slash builds
They did say that it starts increasing faster after 75-80. So I'm sure at 9999 it is actually way more than 3x.
I've heard someone claim as much as 20x, but I didn't check myself.
But yes, slash is a lot weaker now. At normal steel path levels its already about 1/3 as useful, and its only going to get worse the higher the levels go.
If thats the case then whats the best status to mod for? For melee weapons that is.
Phenmor doesn't appear to get the 20x perk vs heavy gunner demos. It does baby damage. It should tap it, but no, so its obviously not working.
Heavy Gunners have largest amount of armor in game, and phenmor far from good incarnon weapons.

As stated in farming location : Elion Mercury , for normal Heavy gunner simaris scan.
why cant Simatris just repair his specimen locations? in the syndicate missions bar it states that heavy gunners can be found on Saturn. But there is no mission where H.Gunner targets can be scanned. :facepalm:

Is the Level Scaling working for the current patch? since i read somewhere that LS is now a sigmoid curve instead of an exponential curve
What do you mean, LS wasn't changed this patch? The last time it changed was over a year ago. Unless the last update stealth changed something the current scaling is correct.

Does anyone know the DPS of the heavy gunner at various levels?
The only "Heavy Unit" I've had Lotus warn me about is the Prosecutor, and I've made it through up to Uranus. Other than that, you just have to keep an eye out.

Funny glitch I found, if you crouch at there feet they will not shoot you, they will still ground pound but they will not fire their weapons.

For Simaris do Ceres Pallas if you need lots to scan, or Lex for a quick capture then a fast scan and leave in 2 or 3 minutes.

The Kuva Heavy Gunner will be pretty deadly once DE implements the charge mechanics for them. They already slaughter me at short range in Kuva Floods and once they can charge their shots they will become even deadlier at long range. I really hope DE does a damage falloff for the NPC Drakgoons, cause otherwise we will have oneshotting snipers with shotguns in the game ^^.
