Neural Sensors are a rare component that can be found primarily on Jupiter and the Kuva Fortress. It is usually found in quantities of 1-4.
Alad V has a higher chance of dropping Neural Sensors compared to enemies, containers, and lockers. As of Update 16.4 (2015-04-23) The Raptors also have a chance of dropping Neural Sensors, but this does not apply to the rest of Europa.

Blueprints Requiring Neural Sensors[]
Notes[]
- After Update 9.0 (2013-07-13), all rare items dropped much more commonly than normal, up to quantities of 6 per drop in some cases. The drop rates were fixed in Hotfix 9.1.3 (2013-07-15).
- From Hotfix 9.8.2 (2013-09-03) until Hotfix 9.8.3 (2013-09-07), J3-Golem had a higher Neural Sensors drop rate than usual. Update 9.8.3 fixed this drop rate.
Gathering Tips[]
These are based on opinions and may not be true. These should be viewed as advice unless proven undoubtedly true. Check comments for confirmation. Results may vary.
- Elara and Sinai, Jupiter are effective locations to gather Neural Sensors. Another place that is effective to farm is Themisto, Jupiter (assassination of Alad V).
- Taveuni in the Kuva Fortress is also an effective place to farm them. Plus, if you need Kuva you can farm for Neural Sensors and Kuva at the same time.
- Distilling Extractors are also a good way to farm these with little effort, though it should be noted that Neural Sensors are not guaranteed.
- Io, Jupiter can net a few Neural Sensors with a Nekros using Desecrate, but it isn't effective.
Trivia[]
- The descriptions of Neural Sensors and Neurodes were swapped several times, with the second time completely reversing what the components clearly were. This was finally reverted in Hotfix 15.16.2 (2015-03-11) to properly fit their obvious designs.
- Despite being of Grineer origin, Neural Sensors ironically did not drop from any Grineer-controlled planet (barring those taken over via Invasions) until the introduction of the Kuva Fortress in Update 19.0 (2016-11-11).
- Prior to the removal of Trials, Neurodes could be crafted via a reusable blueprint that could be acquired as a reward from The Law of Retribution Nightmare Raid.

July 28th, 2024, Themisto (Jupiter), got 4 in 4 runs (1+1+0+2)

Btw switch to solo so u can just abort mission if he doesnt drop any neural sensor and fast repeat
The best way to farm anything in warframe is not to start farming just when you need it.
FUCKING TRUE
If you have patience - wait for Phorid on Themisto. `140 with boosters in less than 40 runs.
Can confirm, Neural sensor arrays spawn like crazy here during the invasion. Got 8 on a 4 minute run with max range limbo and no booster
Heh, seems like the RNG toys with me. 20 mins on SP Jupiter Survival and not a single one of this shows up. Then one drops in a minute or so from Normal Jupiter Survival. Now I got total of 3 of them by being in for 7 minutes lol
Don't know if the tip about using desecrate with Nekros is just old, but it defs doesn't grant 1-2 per wave. Tried this on two occasions, got none the first time and after 30 waves got a single neural sensor the second. If you're looking to farm, don't waste your time with this
It works, but it is absolutely not 1-2 per wave. More like 0,5 per wave.
If you only lack it temporarily and don't want to spend too much effort to obtain it, there is no doubt that Themisto is definitely a good place to go, which has been verified by everyone. [Be sure to pay attention to items that can be broken]
Themisto is better than any of the listed locations
I got 10+ in every one of the archon hunt missions this week. 38 in 3 missions. Anyone know what happened there?
I got 14 in 43 mins on Jupiter Elara with 127 kills per minute
How are you running it? stayed there for like 25 and got diddly squat
The neural sensor blueprint is awfully terrible. Never mind farming Themisto, Jupiter for sensors, the blueprint to craft these ought to build them in batches of 5 or more and have a craft time of say 5 mins to make the resource requirements worth it. Farming sensors is much faster than the time it takes to accumulate 50k of each of the blueprint materials just to get one sensor out of it after an HOUR of craft time. DE really does strange things in their infinite wisdom.
You can definitely get sensors from Io, Jupiter but it's nowhere near as good as the wiki says
Titania + Themisto Assassination fastest and most guaranteeded way to farm so far
1-2 sensors per run 1m30s each
Yep, farming bosses is usually the best way to get rare 'green' resources.
I've done about 5 defense/survival missions now, each lasting either 10 to even 40 missions. I have also done 3 seperate missions like intervention. I have gotten 0. These odds are insanely horrid
I did a ten minute elara with a drop built khora and got absolutely none at all.
Lol
Cameria with khora/smeeta/boosters got 4 drops in the first 2 mins
Jupiter Cameria чтоб его с первой пачки 2 штуки и дальше 0 за 40 минут втф
lol why is this page so popular...?
Formas I assume
Kuva Fortress drops Neural Sensors... can someone please add it in the drop locations? :D
20 waves on jupiter sinai not a single one dropped.. went and got all the lockers and everything too even with master thief on there. still nothing after 5 times
Salad V used to drop this but no more...
You just seem to be having some bad luck, ran him a couple of times today and got one drop of 1 and one drop of 2 sensors over four or five attempts.
Can confirm, if you have resource booster, and drop chance booster, you will get a lot of it, got 4 on the first time.
