Swift Bite is a Warframe Augment Mod for
Lavos's
Ophidian Bite that increases its Ability Range while granting an ability cooldown reduction for all of his abilities if at least four enemies are hit.

What exactly does "range increase is not affected by ability range" mean?
I would assume that this mod just provides an additive +30% Ability Range exclusively to Ophidian Bite.
IE, with this and a maxed Stretch, you'd have 175% range on Ophidian Bite, and 145% range on the other skills.
If that is indeed the case, IMO, stating that the mod is additive with other sources of Ability Range would be a better way to convey that. If that's not the case, and it does something weird and unintuitive, some clarification on what precisely that is would be appreciated.

The augment cooldown reduction also affect helminth ability you use on lavos
Useless mod, rarely will you find 4 enemies close enough and when playing in a squad they would probably kill them quickly lol

Scaling with efficency ruined this mod
No use outside of ESO/Steel Path since there's barely enough enemies to consistently proc the cooldown reduction. Thankfully those are the 2 instances of content where having good uptime on your 4 is "necessary".
I was hoping this would allow for a low efficiency build. Alas, not happening.
He already functions fine with minimized efficiency, this just doesn't help mitigate the extremely minor negative that has.
It's worth noting that it will still reduce the cooldown of active abilities, including Probe itself. which means you can actually cast Bite during Probe's movement and further reduce the cooldown of the next bite(and in the process, the next probe). Though this probably only comes up in particularly spread out crowds anyways.
A really good augment for stuff like steel path survival where enemy density is very high, which is where the prohibitively long cooldown really harmed Lavos before, but now you can just spam.
Useless without an Ability Efficiency being at least at it's base value, if less - no outcomes whatsoever...
And a bonus Range is not affected by any Range or Strength mods by the way, it's just 3 meters and that's it.
It would worths the slot if it had the similar mechanism to that of the probe, with higher cool down reduction compared to the probe (to offset the 4 enemies hit requirement). Initially I thought it would work like that, but as details started revealing, I gradually expected it would be trash. Alas, turn out it is.
The thing is that it can't go above "4 secs for 4 foes" action... and if you hit more - you get nothing else, yes.
And it makes you build up the Energy Efficiency for him, and it literally affects only a cooldown on his 3rd and now his 1 with an Augment...
It's all ok though, i found a place for it anyway.

Use Mods to increase his Armour.....
