Any good guides on Eidolons, amps, etc?
Returning player here. Quit playing back when Inaros first came out. I came back this Thursday and have been hella confused on how to get anything better than a mote amp. Ik I have to rank up my quills syndicate using sentient cores, but like, how do I actually get those? Just looking for any good guides on all this stuff.
Sentient Cores drop from Vomvalysts, which you can find on the Plains at night.
The intended gameplay loop is you kill a few Vomvalysts to get your first Raplak Prism Amp (the community term for the Amp parts just refers to them in the order they unlock, so Raplak/Pencha/Clapkra Amp would be a "111" Amp).
Use your 111 Amp to kill Vomvalysts way faster, and hunt your first Teralyst Eidolon. At which point you'll get tons of Sentient Cores, Exceptional Sentient Cores, and an Eidolon Shard.
Rinse and repeat as you move up the ranks.
The "best" meta amp for hunting Eidolons is a "177", but that requires parts from Fortuna max rank and is a huge pain to get. Since the Focus system was re-worked (again), Eidolon hunting has gotten a lot easier. Madurai Focus School provides the "Void Strike" ability which boosts Amp damage by 1000%, along with many other damage boosts. I regularly hunt all 3 Eidolons solo with just a basic 111 Amp, since you get so much damage from Madurai.
This is so helpful thank u so much
Cores can come from vomes and other sentients, so both work.
Or you could join a hunt and get carried. Best way is focus entirely on your ability to break the weakspots, and hope someone else can destroy the shield. May wanna make a group prior, so people know whats up
Gotcha, thank you!
Aside from Amps, you also will want void strike from the mudarai school. You also will want a volt and a lot of energy pads.
