Excalibur Prime is the Primed variant of 
Excalibur, possessing higher armor and energy, as well as an additional 
polarity and a Aura polarity. Excalibur Prime is a Founders-exclusive Warframe released alongside 
Lato Prime and 
Skana Prime.
Acquisition
Excalibur Prime was only obtainable by upgrading a Warframe account to Founders status of Hunter or greater, which is no longer available. He came with his own Warframe slot and was already augmented with an Orokin Reactor.
The Founders' program closed on the 1st of November, 2013, as announced on the Warframe Forums. This closure is inclusive of pack upgrades.

- As with any other Prime Warframe, moving close to the location of an Orokin Void Death Orb will restore a pulse of 250 Energy to nearby allies, even if that Death Orb is inactive, destroyed, or non-present. This effect can only occur once per orb.

- There is a statue of Excalibur Prime inside the Orokin Vaults on Deimos, and one of the Lua Spy vaults.
- Interestingly, at the start of Update 11.0 (2013-11-20) Excalibur Prime was given a short-lived full body skin called "Alabaster", which was explained by Digital Extremes as a test skin that was released by mistake. The skin's texture was similar to said Vault statues.
- Compared to the later prime Warframes, Excalibur Prime has the least cosmetic difference compared to his standard counterpart, with the only significant additions being the Void Key-shaped emblem on his helmet and golden blades along his forearms.
- When he was released, it was widely believed that Excalibur Prime had a slightly higher shield recharge rate compared to the non-prime variant.
- While the existence of this feature can neither be confirmed, nor denied, Excalibur Prime currently does not possess this stat change.
- Much like how Update 14.0 (2014-07-18) gave the standard Excalibur an ethereal

They should release a skin-type of Lato, Skana and Excalibur Primes in the future, so non-Founders can play with something lookalike the things they cannot obtain anymore due to some fancy "promise" by DE. All those tenno who played the games in these years deserve them.
I've got Excalibur Prime, I was running around in it and a friend was suprised to see it lol I still use it a lot it's one of my favorite Frames.

Idk why they just won't make it available for like 5-10k usd for example. There would be people who would pay that much just to have something that few others have but it'd still be very rare. Or do another time limited "sponsor packs" or something...
A promise is a promise, and what makes Digital Extreme an example is they don't ever break it for greed.

I guess, but it's still seems unfair to those who maybe share their love and devotion to the game and would do the same or even more back in the days and just don't have that opportunity now... Unless DE somehow manages to put themselves in a similar situation again...
I mean, if the game is shutdown at 2013, then those who share their love and devotion to the game won't even have opportunity to support the game, and probable dosen't even know the game exist because it's already dead 11 years ago.
A promise in not a legally-strictly thing, DE can do what they want and they cannot be sued for it. It's just that they don't want to piss off those 0.1% of the community who believe in them when they needed
some factors that make it extremely ugly, the chin looks like a golden tongue or a duck's bill, the face looks like a void key cyclops but there are also two blue LEDs similar to oriental eyes and then the chin becomes lips of a forced grimace, When looking at the side of the face, the jaw looks like an exposed mandible with teeth from a reptile that run golden to the beak of a duck.
I would love for this guy to have a visual rework, just to let you know, I don't have this guy and I don't want to have him, I'm just saying that some skins need a new polish.
I feel that Excalibur prime deserves more golden adornments on the body, Frost is another frame with few golden drops on the body but the helmet is incredibly cool, we don't have this sloppiness in Loki prime, quite the opposite, Loki prime has a very beautiful and detailed design even For today's times, the flower on Loki's chest has an incredible charm.
I think it had an exclusive purpose before but now with the growing community in the end very few players have had the opportunity to buy it whether they did or not. Knowing that visually it is clearly aging compared to other premium, it would be more interesting to make it available and give an exclusive skin to the founders (which would update its look vis-à-vis current capabilities) so that they can keep their visibility while offering players the ability to play it...

You could just use the Excalibur Umbra, they both have same stats so Excalibur Prime is pretty much a exclusive skin already.

Yes, DE has made it explicitly clear that he will never be unvaulted.
They should add a new form of Excalibur that allows founders to keep their excal primes but allows people to benefit from the improved stats without going for excal umbra, which objectively sucks in endgame because it wipes a ton of buffs any time you use operator, even with the new augment which takes up a whole mod slot.

In a sole stat wise reason, I want this because it doesn't have spectre AI while on transference. Umbra become active and lose Archgun, buff, arcane and buff boosted exalted when I get out of transference and shit is fucking annoying. Reason why I went back to normal Excalibur instead.
They should give Umbra a way to disable its own AI then I would have no problem with it any further.

The only difference between Umbra and Prime are the polarity of the slots to start out with. And since Umbra Forma slots come standard on Umbra, it is definitely better.
When disregarded initial polarity and considered only based on end-game stats and specs, Prime is better unless we get option to disable AI of Umbra. Stat is literally same and it doesn't disable buff because of active spectre AI Umbra has.

There's no contract obligation, it was effectively a promise, and promises are what big game studios break all the time.
DE kept that promise and Tencent instead got Excalibur Umbra Prime for the Chinese Warframe Founders. If you want broken promises and a whale-focused monetization scheme, may I suggest Star Citizen? STAR-3TWY-THQG

Man I actually finally managed to work a build for excalibur umbra that really quicks ass, but the problem is that his dumbass AI bullshit always wipes out any active abilities and buffs every time you switch to operator mode. Got massive melee dmg buff from the radial javelin augment? Lol umbra wipes it. Stacked grendel's nourish and exalted blade with a shitton of ability strength buffs from the parazon and pax bolt and hardened wellspring and growing power etc? Lol umbra wipes it again. Umbra is just such a shitty substitute for Excalibur Prime overall that it really just isn't fair. I really want to be able to have a proper 'prime equivalent' version of Excalibur to play with and realize his full power.
Thats only a problem if you use operator too often. i rarly use it as op not very good. also xata's wisper is better as you can use warframe and get void damage

LMFAO, I don't have Excal prime but I still know that's copium. Umbra's passive isn't good even on standard starchart. I like the Umbra polarity bonus on Umbra that's a huge advantage but overall, that's it.
