Blight is an effect associated with the Red Veil Syndicate, that is activated by acquiring 1,000 affinity with a Syndicate Weapon or a weapon equipped with a Weapon Augment Mod, with a 30 second cooldown period between activations.
When triggered:
- All enemies within 25 meters of the player receive 1,000
Viral damage and guaranteed Status Effect.
- The player recovers 25% of their base Energy.
- Energy restore scales off of rank 0 Warframe Energy Max.
- Gain +10% Movement Speed for 30 seconds.

Does anyone know whether the blight damage can be affected in any way?
Where does the affinity from enemies killed by this go? cause from using it, i feel like it just gets lost!
Don't quote me on this but I believe it goes to your Warframe.
This doesn't seem to work at all, at least with Rakta Dark Dagger.
With Nova prime having a base energy of 175 you should get 43ish back from each burst.
Afetr some testing in the Steel Path I noticed you don't get any energy back at all.
Though the viral procs work.
Bug?
RDD doesn't have the buff, which is why there's a mod that applies it.
Rakta Dark Dagger is missing
Syndicate Melee weapons do not have the Syndicate Proc.
Also, Rakta Dark Dagger is mentioned on the Dark Dagger Mod, which allows it to have the syndicate proc.
Does anyone know if gleaming blight (and the blight proc) works on atlas' one? Because I could see stat sticking an elemental atlas with this. (imagine aoe armor stripping procs on one shot damage)
Regardless of wether this works or not on atlas (which i'm pretty sure it doesn't) viral does nothing to armour
How do you get standing?
step 1 initiation with red veil step 2 wear sigil step 3 do random missions until max standing
Blight sure doesn't feel very stealthy. Would make more sense if the proc put enemies to sleep instead... maybe, maybe not.
Does this effect work even if your using a channeling ability? Was thinkin this would be a great primary for my assimilate nyx or infiltrate ivara if it does. :O
By this logic. I don't understand why Ivara isn't a favored Warframe for Red Veil. Despite being the queen of stealth.
Endless Ember on fire =D
Might be NecroPosting, but screw it.
The Veil doesn't seem to favor Ivara because they want to send a message....but....an invisible frame wandering through a place killing everything without being noticed would be a strong message....
Why you no logic?
^
U wot m8?
The proc don't alarm enemies! lol
~Something almost killed me? It was probably the wind.
~Ugh... What is that? Who the hell is poo like this?! Ugh... It was you my brother? Damn maaaan.. Ugh... I can't breath...
"Who the hell is poo like this?!" Best quote ever
Viral is a disease or virus they wont even know their hp is halved
AHHHHHHHHHHH THE PAIN!!!ehh i should not have eaten that slurry
the +1 blight shown, what happens when you have more than 1 blight effect due to multiple weapons? what does +2 blight do etc instead of +1?
nothing
U cannot have +2 blight because it only counts from the active weapon.
each weapon has its own cooldown for the pop though, so u could get the pop on primary swap to secondary get pop then melee. BUT they cooldown only when out so when u switch back you would still need to wait on each one (eg u cant rotated 1 weapon every 10s to get a pop u will hafta wait each time u change before it can pop again)
wheres rakta dark dagger
The gleaming blight page says you can put it on both
It is for Dark Dagger SERIES. Just checked with my Rakta Dark Dagger. So you can use the mod on any Dark Dagger present in game.
@Wiebejamin
You can equip it on Rakta Dark Dagger, Hek case is just exclusion.
Gleaming Blight CAN BE USED on Rakta Dark Dagger, since syndicate melee weapons do not have an innit syndicate proc.
Vaykor Hek can not use the syndicate Hek mod, because it (being a primary weapon) already has the syndicate proc. DE do not want you to have Justice+2.
does the proc comes before the damage?
because if the proc is first that means the blight effect deals double damage for cutting in half the enemies health.
that's how viral procs work
Not quite. Viral procs work differently from % health sets For example, if you have a 10,000 health enemy and do 1000 viral damage with proc, it goes to 4000. ((10k/2)-1k)
However, once that effect ends, the health taken away is added back, in this case bringing it back up to 9000 health.
I find the use of these weapons to equip them on draco missions, they kill the hyekka masters a lot quicker because they proc them with viral, great for that excal who is having a hard time piercing their armor and health. As RJ yourself these procs become even better because they might just help you overcome that one little failure your EV makes.
Does the energy regen count Flow as base energy? Because i know Wukong's Defy doesn't... when the energy is high, it drains 25% of my max energy (say 100 if i have 400 energy) but when the energy goes lower than 150, it drains 37.5 (25% of the base energy)
The energy regen does not count flow or prime flow, just base energy level (whatever it is at your level of Warframe)
How much affinity? Is it a constant amount?
It's a constant amount, but I'm not sure how much. I'm guessing around 5,000 (or less) accumulated affinity – based on how much it procs in a Draco run.
2000.
2000, but you can't raise it twice as fast having an affinity booster
so, occasionally the ballistica will proc off of warframe abilities and sometimes it dosen't, and the effect is really random and glitghy. I just lost a long run of ODD cause it decided to just stop working. can someone help me with this? I was using Ember Prime, the ability was World on Fire, and the rakta was level 30
If you were on your own warframe abilities do not count towards it, what likely happened is you grabbed a few of the yellow affinity orbs which do count towards the proc.
It may have been when you activated the ability. Any energy used also gains the user affinity which applies to all the weapons and the frame so you can proc it off of that.
Divine retribution from the goat cheese god for pretending to be good with a good weapon while reality dictated otherwise. It's a weapon that rewards you for using it, not for standing around with your thumb up your ass.
what is the point of the movement boost?
A lot of the mods for Red Veil are geared around warframes that already have a fast run speed. So, I guess, min-maxing?
Now available in Rakta Cernos ;)
Isn't it the strongest effect.
-50% health +1k damage = many kills
or 1K damage - 50% health
^^ the maths are strong with this one.
Depends on the order of operations.
well i like the veil, cuz the weapons are cool and the syandana.
i dont think red veil suck.
the syandana will tell if your a good tenno(by doing stealth kills).
"Isn't it because the Grineer and Corpus are bad to humans"
Corpus and Grineer are human as well. Everyone is human in this game, we just branched out in different directions.
As much as i love the Steel/Veil, i'll be happy to start on the Arbitors of Hexis. Playing the paladin of Justice/vengence is fun, and i have an excuse to use red and black because 'they're my syndicate colors'. But as my tenno get's stronger we start to see the values of truth and knowledge, so Hexis and Suda will work more towards my goals. However, The Rakta weapons are badass and i love the Syandana, even if it only glows with consecutive stealth kills. It will be my 3rd favorite under Loka and Hexis.
Technically the only humans are the Corpus. Grineer are clones of clones of clones (and so on), and Tenno are essentially Void Monsters. The whole bit about the ship Zaramon in the void is true, but it's also stated that the Zaramon was a military ship, and in another place it says it was policy to not have children on a military ship. So, the Tenno weren't aboard the Zaramon when it departed into the Void, but they were when it returned, and all of the original crew? Dead. WE ARE VOID MONSTERS. But yeah Corpus and civilians are what's left of the Human race. But does that mean the Grineer are anything less than human? they may be clones, but genetically they are humans. So the only things not human in the game are Tenno and the Infested.
Well, you got it wrong, the Zariman (not Zaramon) was a colony ship sent out with people to colonise tau, but never reached its destination as it got lost in the void where the children of the colonists aboard the Zariman (all humans by the way) become Tenno, the major question about that is, was it before the Orokin colonised the Moon (Lua) and got their skin colored blue or later?
And also the Infested are partialy "human" as they form out of human (Grineer, Corpus etc) bodys...
