Piercing Roar is a Warframe Augment Mod for Rhino that gives
Roar the ability to inflict knockdown and 5
Puncture procs on enemies. Additionally allows Roar to be recast and passively increases its range.

Notes[]
- Piercing Roar inflicts 150
Puncture damage, which is affected by Ability Strength.
- Piercing range is affected by Ability Range.
Puncture proc duration is affected by Ability Duration.
- Any existing buff by Roar gets cancelled when recasting Roar.
- Does not require line of sight to hit enemies.

In Update 31.2, we buffed a number of underused Warframe augments. The time has come to continue this work! This batch tackles Warframes from Loki to Rhino (of which there are surprisingly many!). We have increased their viability in missions, which we hope will encourage more build diversity.

Rhino’s Piercing Roar
- Was: Enemies within 25m will be knocked down and suffer from a Puncture Status Effect. Roar can be recast.
- Now: Enemies within 25m will be knocked down and suffer 10 stacks of Puncture Status. Roar can be recast. Additionally increases Roar’s Range by +40%.

The + range on Roar doesn't work on the piercing knockdown effect range :(
Quick FYI: 10 puncture stacks has been lowered to 5 :)
To clarify, Puncture *the status* caps at 5 stacks, so same benefit, just faster ramping.
How does this puncture proc duration work on Lavos ability duration passive?
If I have 150% ability duration Lavos does it mean 6 sec + 50% = 9 sec + another 50% = 13.5 sec puncture proc duration on piercing roar?
Or it not have any effect at all?

May I suggest that the knockdown be replaced by drawing enemy aggro to Rhino? He's already tanky enough as it is, but the puncture procs would make added attention feel like nothing. Also makes Roar a bit of a defensive ability, taking fire away from defense objectives or squishy teammates. And with the damage bonus you're going to want enemies looking for you so you can shoot them.
Don't know if it was changed. But base Puncture proc duration from Piercing Roar is actually 10sec at the moment.
Still, spamming it that often while you probably also want to build Range and, why not, Strength for the base buff is a bit annoying. So, here me out, there are 2 warframe with quadratic scaling on these puncture proc duration: Lavos and Citrine. Lavos scales his proc durations with Duration and Citrine does as well while giving you even more proc duration with her 3 buff. with just Archon Continuity, the puncture procs last 24sec with Lavos and almost 40sec with Citrine if she used it buffed by her 3. You get all your time to clean enemies around.
With Puncture rework, subsumed Piercing Roar is crazy right now, even more on these 2 Warframes.
I especially like it on Citrine. GL for your Archon Hunt mates to die with both Preserving Shell up and Percing Roar procced. It's an extra proc primer, Citrine already had 7 (slash impact on 1, cold fire elec toxin on 3 with corrosive with Archon Continuity). She also has the energy to use it.

Unless they also nerf the mod to balance it out, this is gonna be interesting.
EDIT: Echoes is live, and there is no apparent change except to reflect the new maximum of five stacks.
The procs last for 6 seconds and when a corrupted heavy gunner starts to shoot again after it got up, the procs run out and they deal full damage.
So effectively it just knocks down enemies and makes Roar recastable.
Why even bother using this mod when you just can Stomp?
The duration of the proc is effected by your power duration, so you can double it to 12 seconds with 200% duration.
Really wish this augment allowed you to snapshot a buffed roar value.
Is this any good now? I have roar on my trinity and am wondering if this augment would be worth it tbh.
This Augment does not profit from its own range increase to Roar.
Tried this with Lavos subsumed Roar, there's a 10-second recast time interval.

Does this work through obstacles? Meaning, does this reliably stop ennemies for a second or two?
Maybe this could combo well on Sevagoth. When your shield gate procs, use this to knock ennemies down, get your shield back up and have them get up slowly thanks to gloom?.. Plus roar is always a good subsume and should multiply with Sevagoth's 1 damage multiplier for extra one shots.
I wonder where the energy would be coming from though. Also, this takes a mod slot on a frame already hard to optimize... Maybe, needs testing.
Bruh thing mod literally just makes rhino a screeching 12 yr old in a call of duty lobby who screams so hard he destroy your eardrums.
Was messing with this in the hopes that you could do a support rhino build for debuffing enemies with the NEW Status changes to Puncture. Appears you can proc x1 Puncture per cast on them (up to x10 MAX) and they seem to last ~6 seconds at base duration, same as a normal puncture proc.
Would be usable if this can be changed to provide an increased number of procs (at least x2 per cast) and maybe have them last longer if proc'd via this augment. I feel like the procs you inflict via this augment should last the same duration as your Roar.(Duration @200% = ~60s; while losing between 8-10s from casting time reaching the x10 cap since you do not refresh any of your procs when recasting).
If only Roar is recastable this wouldn't be shit.
Roar is now recastable as of todays patch.
But only with this augment.
Honestly they should've made the recast available as baseline. I mean, Chroma can recast Vex Armor, Mirage can recast Eclipse, Revenant can recast Mesmer Skin, etc. and they don't need augments to do it.

Literally should be: Detonates buff and remaining duration is applied as puncture on enemies within 25m. That way it makes Roar recastable and Actually work as intended
Or just mod for minimum duration, max range.
Or just use stomp. This idea makes alot more sense because it would atleast allow you to to do something with this augment. 30% damage reduction is not worth giving up your buff AND your stomp.
