Imo this is one of the top tier Helminth abilities now, up there with Gloom and Nourish. Between this and Arcane Battery my Chroma is feeling so good

Probably not, especially for high priority targets I think tharros strike will always be faster and easier. But this has more utility with the crowd control slow as well, and will affect more targets than tharros strike.
Its got a 30 second base duration and will strip everything in its field of view during that time, which ends up being a lot more enemies than tharros strike unless you like spam the shit out of it

Is it dumb to stick it on rhino to get his roar and the armor strip? Kinda just getting started on helminth and looking to mostly boost my damage in steel path.
It's a solid choice, it wants stats that you're already building. You'll end up with survivability, damage increase, armor strip, and two forms of CC. Really solid build overall.
if Im honest gloom is overrated as a subsume, and this is only a sidegrade to gloom instead, both abilities work best on the frames they were initially designed for...

It really is. You can just completely ignore Corrosive and armor strip from other sources; ESPECIALLY because the health rework. Actually insane. Then the fact she does fire status which also strips up to 50% more armor and also does health damage. Just wowowowow shes probably a must pick support frame for end game content.
Edit: Also Judgement making them more vulnerable like holy shit shes kinda stacked.

I put it on my Titania and it works like a dream
I got naturally high power strength, so its around 26% armor stripped every second I keep my eyes on em, I just need to nudge em halfway before they are decimated
How is it for damage?
For Limbo, the main casting damage dealing options rn are Aquablades and Dark Verse. If this can be a potent alternative, that'd be spicy. Alternatively, if it strips armor well enough, using it with Mutalist Quanta (a weapon that can strike across the rift, but offers neither crit or status) might actually be viable.
Negligible. The strip is obviously useful, but the stacking slow is the best part of the ability.
I don't think Limbo would get much use out of it.
For comparison, the damage per tick is about 2% of a single cast of Dark Verse. Staring at an enemy for the full 30s duration would only apply 60% of a Dark Verse cast, and it only starts doing status damage after the first 10s of staring. It is a very, VERY bad damage ability. Even things that no one in their right mind would take as damage abilities trounce it. The fire trail left by Fire Walker is 8 times stronger than the damage output of Ophanim Eyes. The aura damage of fire Elemental Ward is twice as potent as Eyes.
the other people here are correct that its damage is not worthwhile, but it IS still extremely funny that you can explode security cameras by glancing at them
