It seems like it's either a really small amount of overguard or a visual bug on the health bar, I had the same happen in an arbitration and the operative kept taking damage despite the bar showing overguard. Same thing happened in yesterday's sortie.

i had a similar thing happening to me while playing dante, it showed the overguard on the operative for a second after applying but would get cleared almost imediatelly even if they are not taking any damage. I think its possible that they are coded to not be able to have overguard but somehow can gain overguard but imediatelly lose it upon gaining it

I had a Dante teammate appear to give Chipper overguard during an Archon Defense.

With how often chippy chappa runs around, he needs all the defense he can get.

I swear this dude keeps intentionally dodging me when I try to rift banish him..

When this happens you can't vazarin dash through the operative either. Not that you'll even need it at that point unless you absolutely need to give the operative some immunity
