Otak is the name of a vendor in the Necralisk in Deimos. He is a damaged Cephalon affected by Deimos' energies and was integrated into a Necraloid named Loid as a result, with an attempted defragmentation of Otak's persona matrix resulting in his erratic and whimsical personality. His shop is located to the easternmost side of the Necralisk, where the Tenno drop from their Landing Craft.
Otak will have up to 12 possible tasks available for the player to complete by trading in resources earned from Mining. Task names, descriptions, and costs are randomized.

"Otak" means "Brain" in Malay and Indonesian, which is ironic for his personality.
When Otak first meets the Tenno he calls them "a chip off the old monolith", foreshadowing the Warframes' relationship with the Necramechs. From then on he nicknames the player "Chip".
After accessing Loid's Dante Research shop in the Sanctum Anatomica, he reveals that Otak was an Archimedean, and the first one to discover the unique properties of Argon.
