Crystal Fragments are a resource found in Mirror Defense, and are small pieces obtained from the Crystal caskets of Belric & Rania. These fragments are used to purchase Citrine's components from Otak, along with other Rotation rewards.
Access to these resources requires completion of the Heart of Deimos quest.
Acquisition[]
- 10 Crystal Fragments of both types are guaranteed Rotation rewards from Mirror Defense. On The Steel Path, this is increased to 15.
- Collecting 50 Citrine's Remnants awards 5 Crystal Fragments, alternating between Belric's and Rania's Crystals each time. On The Steel Path, this is increased to 7.
Usage[]
Belric Crystal Fragment and
Rania Crystal Fragment can be used to purchase
Citrine,
Steflos, and
Corufell blueprints and components,
Arcane Double Back,
Arcane Steadfast,

I am so burnt out from this grind. Why must this currency be so boring to farm? I'd rather farm Mutagen Samples on Steel Path than run Tyana Pass anymore. I still need +/- 300 of both Belric and Rania to grab the last part of Citrine. I'll rank her up then to the Helminth she goes, I don't even want to use her anymore after this tedious grind.
Save yourself the PITA that is this particular grind, just save up plat and buy Citrine's collection(or at least Citrine herself and buy the weapon parts from warframe.market then spam A rotations for the weapon blueprints) to get her and her weapons. The missions for these crystals DO NOT respect your time.
Indeed a ridiculously lame grind. Which is exactly the goal of them. Just make it shitty so people might even pay money to buy some plats to just buy the stuff. Welcome to "free2play".
So I've been doing some basic (ish) maths to figure out how long it would take to get the full crystals required to get everything (assuming nothing drops).
10,950 crystals needed and on average you get 105 of each per run. Each run takes 24 minutes with an added minute for loading and re-selecting missions.
So I rounded this up to 25 minutes. 10,950 / 110 = 99.54545454545455, so we'll round up to 100. 25 minutes x 100 = 2500 minutes. 2500 / 60 = 41.66666666666667. So assuming nothing drops and you buy everything, that's give or take 42 hours doing JUST this mission to get everything. Even with the drop-rates, you could take off a few hours. That is a ridiculous grind, even for this game.
They genuinely need to rework this mind-numbingly boring mission.
Yeah, this should have been their focus, not ruining the already abysmal spawnrates of Armatus by making the map 4x as big lol
Too much of a grind, they should really double the yeld of crystals ... just to say.
So, I got 105 crystals of each kind in a full 4 rotations defense which is 24 minutes (due to the 2x30-sec delay between 2.5min defense rounds). That's about 4.3 crystals per minute or 6 hours to purchase all Citrine parts. 3 hours for Corufell and 5 hours for Steflos for a total of 14 hours or the equivalent of 35 missions of 4 rotations, provided that you got super unlucky and never got any parts.
I know right... what the hell
True, that it is similar to junction on lua, but it is wary more grindy and even booster 2x drop don't help...
If you manage to go several hours without a single weapon drop, you might want to check your house for all those broken mirrors and open ladders. The entire point of the Crystals is to act as "pity" system.
BS, DE uses the pity system as an excuse to make complete whacky drop tables that generally the only good parts are all in C rotation with a bunch of garbage in between
Are these and the Balric crystals capped at 500, or did I just get lucky and ended up with 500 each?
After getting some more crystals I found that these are not capped at 500.
Captura scene costing 1000 fragments
>gee wonder if the crystal cap is 500...
