Chipper is a Solaris worker that was captured by 
Narmer. After Kahl-175 removes his Narmer Veil, he joins the Grineer at the Drifter's Camp and supports 
Kahl's Garrison, appearing at Rank 2 - Encampment with the Syndicate. Chipper exchanges unique items for 
Stock. He also serves as the Defense target during Archon Hunts.

- Chipper's voice line "Most a these jokers just want somethin' that goes bang on one end and boom where they point it." references a long-running gag in the community where Area of Effect Weapons were a largely dominant playstyle since Update 27.2 (2020-03-05) before being toned down in Update 32.0 (2022-09-07), the same update that introduced Chipper.

I wonder why they removed the Archon Shards from his shop. That was pretty much the one reason to play Kahl's missions after you're done with everything else.
Kahl missions are too repetitive and cumbersome, and nearly no one liked them. Some of the objectives are even a pain in the rear end to complete such as "Kahl go Fast" and ones where you have to play hide-and-seek with a random object you have to find, making the mission last from 25-50 minutes to complete.
That doesn't really explain why they removed the Archon Shards. Kinda sucks for those that did like Kahl's missions, like me.
Is it just me, or does Chipper sound like mammon from Helluva Boss-
I came here to try and find out if they were the same voice actor, and have found that they are not, Chipper is voiced by "Brendan Parry Kaufmann", which probably should be added to the wiki.
Pretty sure he simply opens his chest cavity when you're max rank with Solaris, and not with Kahl's Garrison specifically, like it says here. I'm just not sure if it requires max rank with both, or just SU.
Was max rank with SU and not Kahl, and only at level 5 (Home) it opens the chest. Don't know if it need both, but its not just SU Rank

You don't need to just complete weekly mission, but also side objectives to get stock
Did they program his AI in Archon defense missions to be, "Oh hey, guys with guns that want to massacre me! I think I should go say hi!"? Seriously, his AI makes no effort to stay clear, with or without a secondary weapon. DE, at least give us an option to tell him to stay put or give his AI a self-preservation motive. As it stands I have spent more time following him into large swathes of Narmer that are all aiming at him gunning away while he stands there like he's giving a meet and greet.

Is there a reason his available Archon Shard became unsynced from the currently active Archon? e.g. right now he has Amber, but Amar's active (Crimson) IIRC they used to match.

If you want a thorough answer, that specific content on the article is generated on the server-side and is cached by Fandom's servers/CDNs which is why you have to purge the page's cache to get the latest update. While the weekly timer is processed on your end via JavaScript (the client), wikitext content is processed once by the MediaWiki application and the resultant HTML is delivered to CDNs. You have to purge the page's cache to tell the backend MediaWiki application to reprocess the wikitext to use latest timestamp values and get the correct item highlighted.
I believe it's actually a good mechanic! Let's say you're looking for a specific shard but you loathe the actual boss fight, or you couldn't play the game the week the Archon Hunt was up, for whatever reason, and then bum! Chipper comes in on Monday, at 00:00:01 with your desired shard, for the low, very low price of 90 Stock.
Just don't ask how in the hell he managed to pry it from the Archon without your help...

The trivia is wrong. The line is just about the Grineer using explosive weaponry, or it can be left up to interpretation.

11/8/22, they gave Chipper eye's. his mouth now actually moves when he talks, but the new eyes don't move at all. they reduced the nightmare fuel, and have given us crispy wide eyes that need a good moisturizing.
You can glitch your camera through Chippers chest to see his real human head.

The voice actor is an Australian - Brendan Parry Kaufmann. He voices "Chipper" - as well as "Kuva Lich", "Arbiter of Hexis", and another new character, "Horrek".

He did need it, he was still a corpus wage slave at the time and augments improved productivity. Trick is the corpus augs cost an arm and a leg (ha) in order to keep the buyers in massive debt even with the improved productivity.
