The Technocyte Coda are Infested Adversaries. They are Infested malware that have taken the form of the 1999 superstar boy band On-lyne, and manifest in the Origin System as a spaceborne version of a concert hall where their current incarnation broadcasts waves of On-lyne's music that is harmful to Railjacks.

ZEKE never thinks about himself. He’s all about the fans, and even though ON-LYNE is the biggest thing in the entire world right now, he always stays humble.

Sometimes it's tough being the youngest, but Packet knows how to hold his own! He might get flustered on camera when he's nervous, but that just makes him cuter.
He's into hacking and computers and stuff like that, which is pretty crazy for someone his age. He’s a total nerd and super smart, too.
Packet keeps the peace between the boys, and it’s hard not to sympathize with him. He hates aggressive journalists and wishes that everyone could just get along.

- According to an interview with Creative Director Rebecca Ford, the Technocyte Coda adopting the identity of On-Lyne was inspired by her experience of infecting the family computer with a computer virus by trying to download boy band music through the now-defunct file-sharing service Napster.[1]
- On-Lyne's section on warframe.com has a note on the bottom stating that the "fan-site" is run by a "Rebecca F.," a reference to Digital Extremes' Creative Director for WARFRAME and Lotus' voice actor Rebecca Ford.
- Spawning a Technocyte Coda appears to involve purposely failing a Coda worm injector, which eventually causes a cosmic stadium with large speakers to appear, presumably in the Eris or Deimos Proxima.

Romantic wishful thinking since its DE, but lets hope they finally seize the opportunity to rework liches/sister to make the whole thing more fun and accessible... instead of just releasing a third round of the same lame grind.
Were the band members infected and turned into those things, or did the infection choose them as the form it'd take to blend in with humanity? If it's the latter, was there ever a real band, or was the entire thing made up by the infestation?
The infested are capable of self replication once something has been properly assimilated into the hive mind. Hence why Lephantis and the Hemocytes exist. Its probable that the original members were overtaken by the infested and eventually evolved the "blueprints" for these enemies but over the course of time have been corrupted.
The Codex database for Kuva Liches, Sisters of Parvos and now the Technocyte Coda with 150 entries max will be too small to handle all the interesting variations of adversaries. Before the Jade update I had close to 200 entries for Kuva Liches alone and I still miss most of the Tenet weapons. It would be interesting to know how many variations Technocyte Coda will offer...
Infested liches? Really? That's not good to waste 5 formas to rank-weapon which will be thrown into a trash bin just after it'll be maxed.
Yes, but unlike infested weapons, warframes don't LOOK disgusting. Outside of a few exceptions, most infested weapons just look like random blobs of shit.

Not really. The plague star tumors and enemies look like the basic Infest strain, while the 1999 Technocyte strain looks more like Cambion Grey Strain (red-orange as the main tumor mass color, in contrast to grey in the basic strain) with some advanced (evolved or genetically engineered) features
Ability to form flowers on their biomasses, which can only be found in plant species at the apex of the plant evolution line. This has never been found in any other Infest strains which are more like fungi.
While other Infest strains have only flesh in their tileset biomasses, 1999 Technocytes seem to have CRT screens, speakers, and wires included in their biomasses like natural parts of them, some even realigned in a specific pattern to form an organ, like the speaker "leaves".
Not to mention this strain is as advanced or even more than Arlo's in using intact human forms to deceive victims and intelligence in planning a big pandemic in more mundane unsuspicious means like pizza and boyband countdown party concert

^ Because those Infested you listed are heavily changed/ tampered with. The very Warframes we use are Infested, technically, the difference is, the wild strains running throughout the system are like a robotic, metallic cancer, in it for themselves to consume everything. The Helminth, for example, is specifically programmed to make and maintain Warframes. Going with the cancer comparison, think of the Helminth as one of your organs. It's just doing the thing it was grown for and knows nothing else.
The Entrati are technically Infested, corrupted with it and partially mutated, but they've managed to hold on to their sanity, only partially because of their own efforts to not give in, but mainly because their home is essentially on top of a giant void portal via Albrecht's lab, had the way down not been sealed off they could have easily fled. As for the Helminth Charger, just think of it as the same as the Helminth, but now it's a space pet that can roam around, it's still just a loyal piece of flesh.
This assumes that we can't reprogram them instead of executing them, whether by leveraging the more technological side of the infestation, or through void influence over the organic side. There's nothing so much as implying we wouldn't be able to "recruit" them in a less-than-willing fashion.

I am kinda obsessed with the fact that "Technocyte" isn't a Warframe term- that's just straight up Dark Sector. They're just going to make Dark Sector canon. I'm not sure the world is ready for that.
Yes, DE has said time and again that Dark Sector is not canon to the Warframe universe, yet the fact that they constantly and consistently make pretty deep allusions to it does make you wonder, no? Its not out of the possibility that they just want to keep in ambiguous, and denying connection would be the easiest way to accomplish that without potentially tying themselves down.
Or they could just be repurposing the things they used in Dark Sector. It would be a waste not to use a good concept

BUT, while DE did develop Dark Sector, they did not publish it themselves, having to resort to other companies to do so, as such, DE can no longer do stuff like that with Dark Sector due to rights issues
The only muckin' connections are the fact that Technocyte is already a word in the game LONG before Coda and the fact that fully infested nodes are called Dark Sectors plus some more i havent quite managed to notice since i wasnt old enough to be playing this kinda game when warframe released
