Security Override is a MOA mod that allows the MOA to hack consoles, with a chance to mind-control robotic enemies within 30m after a successful hack. This mod is acquired by building a MOA with the Oloro model.

Notes[]
- If it manages to hack a MOA Cabinet Spawner, two friendly Shockwave MOAs will be produced instead of one.
- If it hacks a Spy mission console when alarms are on, it will still count as undetected hack. It will also make Lotus say both hack outcome voice lines
- Before Hotfix 24.0.7 (2018-11-15), trying to use it with
Vacuum equipped would prevent the MOA from hacking anything.
- While it was assumed
Vacuum was the issue, the hack rarely happened even with the mod un-equipped.

This Moa is utterly worthless. Did a spy mission and it got stuck in a corner of the map from the start of the mission and never moved from that spot.
Thats why you need helminth "master's summon". you can even teleport moa inside the room without you even entering the room
Hey, just recently got back into the game and wanted to check if this still lets the Moa hack the spy mission consoles? Can't seem to get mine to do it but it'll hack the more insignificant consoles to hack.
It still works for me, but the moa seems to just not give a fuck sometimes. I'm not sure if there's a proc chance, cooldown, range issue, or whatever, but it's not always instant. Just stand by the console an it will hack it eventually.
There's an internal 5 second cooldown on the ability.
Some consoles (mostly Corpus Spy) the Moa can't fit in the spot to be able to start the hack. There's usually a little overhead bump that prevents them from getting close enough. But if it has a little stairway under the console, it tends to be able to get under and hack it just fine.
Moa just stands near the console and does nothing. The A.I. seems to break completely sometimes, so that the MOA does no longer move until the console has been hacked manually. It does not even teleport after me when moving away from it, way beyond the normal range where it starts following/teleporting. Good job from DE .. once again proving they don't test stuff.
My Moa Bolts have been mostly useless when it comes to hacking. However twice now I have found myself stood trying to figure out how to get past a laser in a spy mission, when Lotus declares mission success and Bolts comes proudly strutting back to me. It has been totally worth all the times it stood right next to a console, refusing to hack it no matter how much I begged, coaxed and bribed, for these two triumphant surprise successes.
I have now played with my Oloro Moa as a companion to Loki for half a year, and I regret calling it useless. It actually feels like playing with a cat burglar partner. We often take turns opening locks, so I for instance let Bolts open a lock while I cast Perspicacity and go in to take the next lock. Or I wait for Bolts to go ahead of me past some lasers to get the vault while I have a snack. I've found that the times Bolts doesn't work are either because the lock is on a raised platform, or the Moa's distracted by nearby enemies, or I have not killed anything for a while and have entered hidden afk mode. So if I find myself alone in a vault and wonder where Bolts went off to, I kill a nearby guard and the Moa usually comes bouncing back to me, ready to tackle some locks. 10/10 best Moa.
I personally use blast shield for survivablitly and regularly swap the other around, however, I just got this mod so ill thy it out!
I like the idea of a sneaky MOA friend. I’ll have to build one like this at some point.
Limbo with Shade is much better.
I still have my companion just not do the hack attempt unless i push him over there and even then sometimes he still won't do it
This mod doesn't work as described on the mod itself. DE needs to change the description, or at least tell us what they meant by "Auto-hacks consoles over 2s." I've been trying everything that I can think of, but it still only hacks consoles about 20% of the time - and only the easy ones.
And it takes far more than 2 seconds before it finally decides to hack a console (in the rare occasion when it does hack). When enemies are around, it can be painful, waiting to see if the moa will hack. When enemies aren't around, you just feel silly, standing there, looking at the moa, looking at the console, hitting each of them, jumping up and down, . . .
Also precepts work in a order, from top-left to top-right and then bottom-left to bottom-right
The mod is too situational. The mod is basically useless when there is no console in missions like Defense, Interception, etc.
How was this worth posting? Obviously, it's situational. That's literally its purpose - the description is quite clear on that point.
This is like complaining that Ivara's Prowl augment is useless in a survival mission. Duh.
Ivara's prowl is useful in survival missions
Wow, your reading and comprehension skills are top notch. I guess the word "augment" is not in your vocabulary?
To be fair, the oloro M.O.A is for utlity not doing everything for you.
Just tested the skill in today's spy section of the sortie and it worked just fine
It can hack the consoles that have the brusas in their back once they have been defeated like a normal console?
Yes, the moa will go up and hack the robot on its own, while still procking the additional ally
It does create only 1 MOA, not 2 as they say in this page!
I see people underestimate the power of turning the alarm off?
can it hack a rescue door so my resues aren't so bad anymore
is it normal to get infinite shockwave moas
Yes
Broken since a few weeks now, it used to be able to hack panels in spy missions, now it does nothing
DE rendered it completely and utterly useless
It doesn't hack railjack consoles either, and when it can hack, we have to wait for the MOA to come close to the console which can take more than 10 secs so yeah, pathetically useless.
My moa hack now only give one per spawner "If it manages to hack a MOA Cabinet Spawner, two friendly Shockwave MOAs will be produced instead of one." Is it a nerf?
Not working in reality, Moa lags behind often and bleeding out far away and can't teleport into the vault area. This should have given to a sentinel instead.
isnt sentinel cant equip this mod? its MOA companion exclusive mod.
He's not saying that the player should equip it to a Sentinel. He's saying that DE should have made this a Sentinel ability rather than a MOA ability.
The moa seems to be granting double affinity when it hacks a spy mission console.
It is, good for lvlup them.
Need an image here. Well I am just getting this big black question mark card on the mod page.
Seems to sometimes trip the alarm/purge of spy vaults when hacking the alarm terminal in the entrance area.
my moa stopped hacking spy mission consoles, is that because of the recent hotfix?
yup, as of update 24.2.7.1, this precept will not hack certain consoles (i.e. spy data terminals, sabotage terminals, etc.). The only time when this precept is used is when alarms are set or when it hacks the moa cabinet spawner unfortunately.
^ note, this precept IS suppose to hack spy data terminals or sabotage terminals. however it is currently bugged as well as moa AI's being subpar
Yup, Moas are trash until this is changed back/fixed. Being able to hack spy mission terminals was basically the only use for my moa.
Moas have more uses, Stasis Field plus Night Form Equinox equals a solid defense of objectives, specially sortie defense ones with the dumbasses operatives
I can't get this one to work.
I've put the precept in top left area yet my Moa still doesn't hack anything even when a hackable terminal is next to it.
Nevermind it works my MOA was just being a dumbass.
