The Nightwave is a Landing Craft, which can serve as an alternative transportation choice to the Liset. It comes with the Dreamers air support ability, deploying a device that puts enemies near it to sleep.
The Nightwave landed in Update 27.5.0 (2020-05-12).

This Landing Craft was awarded for reaching Rank 3 in Nightwave: Nora's Mix Volume 2.
History[]
- The first chance to acquire Nightwave was during Update 27.5.0 (2020-05-12) - Hotfix 29.6.8 (2021-01-25) by reaching Rank 30 in Nightwave: Series 3 — Glassmaker.
Dreamers[]
The Dreamers Air Support ability deploys a device that releases a 10 meter field that deals damage and puts enemies to sleep, lasting for 20 seconds. Sleeping enemies are also opened to Finisher attacks.

Should be noted: Nora's Mix, Volume 2 is over. The landing craft might make another appearance in a future nightwave volume. But it is not available in Volume 3 (current Volume).
It doens't say that the Nota Mix Volume 2 is over, but you can figure that is nor availabe anymore cuz the page states:
''This Landing Craft was awarded for reaching Rank 3 in Nightwave: Nora's Mix Volume 2.''
WAS awarded, so... Not anymore... And this WAS the second chance to have it.
The page also states that the first chance was in SERIES 3, not Volume 3.
The main page of the Nightwave also states that we're currently in the season 4.
The page is accurate, but yes. Maybe they should note that here.
I just wrote that for info. cuz I'm assuming that this comment (3 months before) was made before they refreshed the page with the info I repeated.

I got the liset dex skin on it but now i worry that i wouldnt be able to get it back on if I changed it...
Haven't seen this info on this page nor the comments and it might be good to know:
While page says it damages enemies in range before putting them to sleep, they actually fall asleep *unalerted* and wake up *unalerted*.
So for those who had a doubt and haven't got to try it yet...
It's currently available at rank 3 in Nora's Mix Vol. 2
I wish its parts were obtainable in containers like the other landing crafts; I'm not really a fan of Nightwave.

Yeah most likely in any future Nightwaves. It is not in the current nightwave unfortunately (Nora's Mix) so itll be awhile before we get a chance at it again.
Hmm, during the devstream, is it just me or does the landing craft you get with the Zephyr deluxe bundle look a lot like a reskinned Nightwave landing craft?
Saw a nightwave ship with the glitched skin bug, anyone know if that's currently reproducible in any way?

The Zephyr skin is just that. A skin. It doesn't have it's own ability or anything. I'm currently running a NW lander with the Zephyr skin.
Uhh did DE just add a thing to the back of the nightwave ship? I don't remember those two things on the very back end on those rods between the back engines.
Wondering the same thing. Thought they were a thing for all crafts that was part of Orphix, but now I'm not sure.

Does anyone else try to customize it's colors only to have them reset to default immediately as soon as you leave the customize tab? I hope they fix that if it's a bug :(

Secondly, how do you deploy charges?

Just got it and this is 100% accurate
You can point to the place where you want call support. After deploying you will see wavy circle like from Octavia Mallet with range about 10m from the pointed place while Nightwave chime will play and put enemies in that area to sleep similar to Equinox Rest & Rage ability for 20 seconds. Don't know if Nora's phrase changes from time to time, but in my last test she said "Sweet Dreams, Suckers"
Edit: Also in center of circle placed rotating thing that reminded me Wisp's Mote

tbh I would never have known about it if I was never told. Before series 3, I just ignored nightwave, new landing craft available: POOF before any lore I do nightwave, and I love lore.

What about the slots and umbra forma for cheapos like me?
For me, it was the Umbra forma and Frakta Shoulder Guards
Looks like a very useful air support, especially dealing with bunch of high level enemies.
Nora's LC dark metallic finish looks really good
look cool, i love it....sadly my basic Liset air support is much more useful than Nightwave's Air support
Liset air support is very useful, and a lot of times indispensable, in the rescue mission on Lua, for instance.
Agreed! Especially in spy missions, the air support is useful. Because I suck at Spy missions. Really. Badly... And I mean enough data destroyed to fail bad.
You can also use the hacking air support to blow the locks off of the stalker lockdown in case your team gets separated.
Good thing they'll soon be splitting Landing Craft looks and functionality as separate equips; soon you can have Nora Night pirate security codes to spoof a lockdown release and all-clear.
I'm picturing an event or story mission in which we escort/accompany Nora in her Nightwave ship with our Railjacks.
