The Orbiter carries a smaller vessel called a Landing Craft, which are the actual ships that deliver the Tenno into the combat zone. Rugged and dependable, Landing Craft are capable of travel in a variety of environments, including deep space, planetary atmospheres, and even through the ocean depths.
Overview[]
A Tenno rides a Landing Craft by magnetically attaching to a covered passenger compartment by its underbelly, which flips them over inside so they are lying on their back when they deploy into the mission's Insertion point by simply dropping down from it. Landing Craft can also position themselves vertically on extraction points, where the Tenno can ride simply by stepping into the passenger compartment's human-shaped recess, where they are secured before the Landing Craft can depart. Landing Craft can also carry heavy cargo like Fomorian Power Cores by using a tractor beam to attach objects to its underside.
Types[]
There are currently seven variants of Landing Craft available to the Tenno. Acquiring one will unlock a single Air Support ability that can assist players in a mission (with a 5 minute cooldown) once called upon by using consumable Air Support Charges equippable in players Gear. These may be crafted in the Foundry.
- Main article: Liset
The Liset is the first Landing Craft that new players acquire during the Awakening introduction Quest, along with the various segments for the ship. The Liset comes with the Override air support ability, negating alarms raised by enemies as well as briefly disrupting security protocols that activate in Rescue and Spy missions.
Modifications[]
Players can switch between acquired Landing Craft, customize their appearance and select any of the unlocked air support abilities while inside their Orbiter (default Esc > EQUIPMENT > ORBITER > LANDING CRAFT). Note that any air support ability once unlocked may be activated for any landing craft (and not just the one that unlocked it).
Appearance[]
Landing Craft's appearance may be customized with custom colors, a skin and also an optional Sumdali. The latter is a metallic emblem that can be attached to the nose of the craft that shares its color with the one selected for "engines".
Skins[]
Each craft has its own set of applicable skins, please see their individual pages above for a full gallery and acquisition information.
Sumdali[]
Sumdali are decorative emblems placed at the "nose" of the Landing Craft to represent the Tenno's mastery.

Air Support[]
Air Support abilities can be swapped between different Landing Crafts. These can be activated during missions using the Air Support Charges Gear item.
When used, Air Support Charges will throw a floating ball onto the ground held up by an electric tether. The Air Support ability will then be deployed after a delay of a few seconds. Air Support Charges have a 10-minute cooldown (5 minutes with Engineering Intrinsic Rank 2) in between uses, with a cooldown timer visible on the Gear wheel menu. Players may only bring 200 charges per mission.
Air Support abilities are locked behind certain Landing Crafts, noted in the chart below. Acquiring the Landing Craft will unlock their respective ability for all Landing Crafts, which can be changed in the Landing Craft Customize screen.
Landing Craft | Ability Icon | Ability Name | Description |
---|---|---|---|
Liset | ![]() |
Override | Ordis will Override security, sending a beacon that disables lockdowns, resets alarms, and disables security cameras while the beacon is active. In Rescue and Spy missions, any timers will also be paused while the beacon is up. Note that this will not deploy if you are not looking at a console when you activate the Air Support Charge. |
Mantis | ![]() |
Med-Tower |
Ordis will deploy a Med Tower (which resembles a Life Support Capsule). It will heal the player for 100 health on each activation and may be activated up to 25 times by any player in the squad. It can also be used as a small wall as it does block Tenno, enemies, and possibly gunfire from passing through it. You can stand on top of the towers to avoid melee type enemies. |
Nightwave | ![]() |
Dreamers | Nora Night deploys a device that puts enemies within 10 meters of it to sleep. The device lasts for 20 seconds. |
Parallax | ![]() |

Where the Terror skin?
Deep Arch sumdali is kinda ugly or in a weird place imo
Yes, also it inherits colors from the landing ship and it's messy.
With my ship colors it kinda looks like a little R2D2 in red.
How is the Manus Sumdali awarded?
I killed The Fragmented on both normal and SP, and I did not receive it. Is that a common problem?
You must fight a hidden, significantly stronger version. When collecting the eyes, instead of moving on once you collected enough, you keep going for another set of eyes. You are hinted that there is a risk of doing more eyes, but you are not directly told to do so.
You have to get 60 eyes on SP instead of 30, also you can't die and if solo, it is hard to get back up on just a hollow vein in the first part, at least for me before the vein nerf, in the event you do go down, so probably best with a health tank frame.
Orokin Eye works on orokin vaults
I recently found that out too and that's gonna be so helpful. Basically a guaranteed find ( from orokin eye ) in a squad and an occasional help when solo.
Would be very nice to be able to add the Sumdali along the craft, more then 1.
Iv finished all the schools, and not MR30 yet.
Where is the bolkor
You mean the Skaut?
If anyone actually uses these, what are your experiences with them, what scenarios and niche tricks are they useful for and which one is the most useful overall?
Orokin eye and Override are the best, Kahl beacon is ok if you like your specters, everything else is next to useless,
Sentry gun is useful for "pointing out" targets but doesn't do much damage.
Cute new landing craft dropped, Parallax.
😎👌
Does anyone know if the Orbiter cockpit with the navigation. codex and market is the landing craft, and just detaches?
Yea, that's correct (if you played The New War, it basically confirms that in-game).
This is old and obsolete. But before we got the Orbiter, all of the modules are on landing craft and we operate solely on landing craft. We can even see the 'dropout point' when we look down on the cockpit.
This changed on the Orbiter update. As we got a bigger ship and larger hall. Landing craft basically 'landed' on the cockpit of the Orbiter. But we normally operate on Liset and the Orbiter's cockpit is the Liset itself.
This story, however, made no sense as we only got Liset and when we go to orbit we have the whole Orbiter and some parts are scavaged. Either this confirms that the landing craft and the Orbiter are one and the same, or Ordis can call the Orbiter (that landed somewhere and got scavaged) to him when he reactivated the Liset. Another theory is that all modules are on Liset and the Orbiter only acts as the extension to the Liset. Without the Liset, the Orbiter is just a piece of junk (with some 'biological' junk).
Can anyone tell me what the other landing craft is?
The one the looks a little like a parazon with fins?
https://warframe.fandom.com/wiki/Arclite ?
Zephyr deluxe bundle
It's quite a while I keeps seeing some strange Landing Crafts during the mission loading... I was wondering if they are some place-holder due the game not loading correctly the other players craft, but they seem to have fully loaded shape, decoration and different colour scheme, so it's difficoult a place-holder would have such complexity...
They doesn't look like any of the five ship currently in the game, and I can't find them in the market, the codex or neither in this wiki... They almost look like Destiny ships... Is Warframe being invaded by Destiny to steal the secret about how to make a succesful game?
Seriously, though, am I the only one seeing a sixth unknow landing craft?
It's probably the new skin that came with Zephyr's new deluxe
You mean this: https://warframe.fandom.com/wiki/Arclite
Yeah, exactly that! So it's a skin, uh? I'm impress how many people bought it... I mean, it looks good, but is still a pure cosmetic skin without any gameplay purpose visible only a few moment during loading, not to mention it is in bundle with Zephyr and frankly I don't remember when it was the last time I played with someone using the windy warframe...
A new Sumdali Prime would be nice. Like the Prime Ephemeras.
Eros Wings on Liset = faster loading screens
In the landing craft menu, [Equipment > Orbiter > Landing Craft] i noticed a new slot called "Sumdali". does anyone know something about this? when it came in? is this something available in game now, or a new slot reserved for future content?
I believe you get one when you reach Mastery Rank 30. It is just a little trinket that appears at the outside front of your ship
Would be awesome if these could dock with the Railjack. All of them would have the build in "void cloak" ability, minus the movement speed penalty, since they're stealth ships... but completely lacking in weapons.
A possible means to board enemy installations in Empyrean without having to use Archwing, but relatively useless in combat.
^^^^
do you... know the dimensions of the railjack compared to the earth dimensions?
Well, you can see the Railjack if you look through the sunroof of the liset, and also you can see planets out of the front windshield, so do some math and you got a rough estimate. Too bad I'm bad at math.
That's the Orbiter not the Liset.
TIL Orbiter and Landing Craft are different things after 2k hours of play.
is there capacity difference between all landing craft?
No
New landing craft as part of nightwave as the final reward. Support ability with it also sounds intriguing.
I've looked on the trading page, i've looked on each landing craft page but I can't find the trade tax for landing craft parts, Anyone know how much it is?
"The Festive Liset Decorations are cosmetic decorations consisting of snow, wreaths, Christmas lights and a snowman to adorn the Liset's interior. It was made available from December 1, 2014 to January 8, 2015"
To January 8th? They're still available. They were never removed from the market. You can buy them right now, I just tested it and it still works and turns your Liset Christmassy.
You can still buy the Festive Imperator and Frost and the Winter Mirage as well.
Confirmed the Noogle cap as 20 (U15.11.0).
i was gonna ask why someone would have twenty noggles... but now I just wanna see what you did with them all XD
Are noogles plat only or can they be found?
Plat only
Above info is outdated, you can get some of the bobbleheads as mission rewards and from nightwave with credits or simply as milestones.
Would be cool if the game opened up to ship combat in addition or something, and that way giving us more ships to purchase.
Liset is cool, but i would love to have a big warship home-base type of thing :3
"Your wish is my command."
my face is my shield
oh wait thats warhammer
Okay
