- For the soundtrack, see Corrupted (Soundtrack).
The Corrupted consist of Corpus, Grineer, and Infested creatures implanted with a control device that hijacks their psyche, allowing the Neural Sentry of the Orokin Towers to manipulate them. They are the primary enemy of the Void, the Undercroft of Duviri, as well as Lua's Conjunction Survival (Yuvarium and Circulus). They also appear in Derelict Orokin Towers upon breaching their Orokin Vaults.
Their Faction is listed as Orokin in the Codex, who, regardless of their former faction, take increased damage from
Puncture and
Viral, but resist
Radiation.
Overview[]
Most Corrupted appear shining white, with golden hues pulsating through their bodies. Their bodies are "perfected" in a way that mirrors the Orokin aesthetic taste: this is especially evident of Corrupted Grineer units, whose crude armor is replaced by golden, symmetrical plates and bionics.
The Neural Sentry also provides the Corrupted with Orokin weapons and defenses to aid in the protection of the tower. The tower is not without its own defense and utilizes flying sentries similar to Shield Ospreys that provide shields to the Corrupted. Orokin towers also sport defense turrets, elemental dangers, and cleverly hidden traps.
Missions[]
Corrupted Enemies[]
Corrupted Lancer[]
An Orokin-controlled Grineer Lancer. In comparison to normal Lancers, Corrupted Lancers have lower HP pools and doubled armor values. They wield
Grakatas and throw grenades in a manner similar to regular Lancers.
Corrupted Butcher[]
Grineer Butchers enslaved by Orokin Neural Sentries to defend the Orokin Void, Corrupted Butchers are slightly tougher than their normal counterparts. Aside from that, they are identical to their normal counterparts.
Corrupted Drahk Master[]
Grineer Drahk Masters enslaved by Orokin Neural Sentries after exploring Lua for treasure, Corrupted Drahk Masters are slightly tougher than their normal counterparts. Aside from that, they are identical to their normal counterparts.
Corrupted Drahk[]
Grineer Drahks, like their masters, became enslaved by the Neural Sentry and are slightly toughter than their normal counterparts.
Corrupted Crewman[]
An Orokin-controlled Corpus Crewman. Like regular Crewmen, Corrupted Crewmen are protected by shielding, and have heavily armored heads. They differ from Corpus crewmen, as they wield
Arca Plasmor shotguns instead of
Dera plasma repeaters.
Corrupted Nullifier[]
Corpus Nullifier Crewmen enslaved by the Orokin Void Tower's Neural Sentry, featuring their nullification fields capable of neutralizing Warframe powers as well as absorbing ranged attacks.
Orokin Drone[]
Orokin drones that behave in a similar manner to Shield Ospreys, projecting shields to nearby Corrupted allies. The energy shields created by Corrupted drones recharge instantly, and their charging rate is rapid.
Corrupted Heavy Gunner[]
Orokin-controlled Grineer Heavy Gunners. They share the same abilities and traits as regular Heavy Gunners, but have twice as much HP as the regular Grineer units.
Corrupted Bombard[]
Orokin-controlled Bombards. The Corrupted Bombards are identical to their normal counterparts, with the exception of having golden rockets that curve at a faster rate.
Corrupted MOA[]
These Corrupted Fusion MOAs behave in a similar manner to their Corpus brethren.
Corrupted Drone[]
Deployed by Corrupted MOAs, Corrupted Drones behave like and look like Drones.
Corrupted Ancient[]
An Orokin-controlled Infested Ancient Healer. Corrupted Ancients behave just like normal Ancient Healers, regularly healing all other Corrupted units nearby while granting them Overguard.
Corrupted Bosses[]
- Main article: Corrupted Vor
Corrupted Vor is Captain Vor after becoming corrupted and the boss of the Orokin Void, found as an encounter in the high-level Void missions (Level ≥40) or The Circuit Exterminate. After being revived by his own Void Key sometime after his defeat at the hands of the Tenno, Vor has abandoned his ties to the Grineer and since turned into the guardian of the Void. Vor will make his presence known via a taunting transmission, after which he will appear near players to engage them in battle.
Upon defeat in the Orokin Void, he is guaranteed to drop one of the four status/elemental Toxin Mods:
Malignant Force,
Virulent Scourge,
Pistol Pestilence and
Toxic Barrage, along with either an
Orokin Cell or
Argon Crystal. In The Circuit, he is guaranteed to drop a
Rune Marrow.
Notes[]
- Corrupted units inherit the damage resistances of their previous selves, but have their own faction mods such as
Smite Orokin. - Faction Damage Mods of other enemy types have no effect on their Corrupted counterparts. For example,
Bane of Infested does not increase damage dealt to a Corrupted Ancient.
Trivia[]
- All Corrupted units were collectively referred to as "Corrupted" until the addition of the Codex in Update 11.0 (2013-11-20); now each Corrupted unit has been given its own designation.
- As of Update 36.0 (2024-06-18), the Codex and Faction Damage Mods now list them as "Orokin".
- The Corrupted have unique taunts and battle calls which range from evil laughter to electronically dampened, haunting moans.
- As of Hotfix 18.10.3 (2016-04-30), the Corrupted have been given new voices, based on their base unit with a modulation effect applied. Previously they had been silent, apart from basic hit/death sound barks.
- The Corrupted Grineer's symmetrical armor plates appear similar to the Orokin material found on
Frost Prime's helmet. - Inspection of unmasked Corrupted Grineer Lancer reveals their eyes—like their models—have been changed to reflect their Corrupted nature, sporting a glowing Orokin gold.
- The golden headpieces worn by many Corrupted enemies closely resembles that of Albrecht Entrati, as seen in his Vitruvian records in the Necralisk and on statues found in secret sections of Isolation Vaults, though it is unknown if this is supposed to imply that he is the designer of the Orokin defenses.
- Prior to Update 31.5 (2022-04-27), the Corrupted Lancer used to be a Butcher with white armor wielding a
Dera with golden projectiles, and the Corrupted Crewman used to use a modified
Strun with golden energy projectiles.

With Jade Shadows, they've been renamed to the Orokin 🤔🤔
Too lazy to make a new faction? Recolor old models and add halo call it a day
You're about 10 years late on that drama pal
you miss the point of them being the culmination of all the faction's strenghts: bombards, nullifiers, heavy gunners, drakh masters, etc...
it's a low level "late game" sort of deal. back then it was more late game but today there are harder things in the game...
Where corrupted jackel?
What about the Corrupted Drahk and Drahk Master?
Is the difference between the veil of Narmel and the veil of the Orokin Neural Sentry different between Centient or Oroquine?
Bruh moment-
Oroquine
Centient
Narmel
yahoo answers lookin ass
Goofy ahh spellings
Are you French?
Kind of a lazy faction imo. They hardly play into the overall world or story and just kinda feel like throwaway enemies so you have someone to fight while exploring the towers.
What is the best elemental setup to use when up against these guys? Is corrosive good enough or should I go with Viral?
Uh i think u can still acces corrupt in deimos
Via only a specific way, and that way is taking the Artifact in Orokin Valuts
I think DE should add more variants to this faction cause it starts to feel same-y after fighting them for a while
I second this.
yeah, they should be the culmination of the three factions in one mission. they should definitely have more units to amp the difficulty and variation of finding only normal lancers and heavy gunners
Corrupted Corrupted Drones...
Corrupted^2 Drones
Just imagine a single player game in the warframe universe where you live in the time of the orokin empire, and you get to see all the things we know so far in the lore. about the old war, infested and such. maybe even the creation of warframes. that'd be so fuckin sick
Yes!
Its corrupted drone not fussion moa drone
Fixed, ty o/
So are these guys like the prime versions of the originals, lol
Shield Osprey prime... sounds about right
Is it true that Corrupted units do double damage at the same level of their normal counterparts? I've read or heard this a long time ago, i don't remember where. I just assumed it was true when i heard that, because the Void is indeed a high level damage place, regardless of level
I've tested it on Bombard and they deal the exact same ammount of damage. I think you could assume it's the same for other units.
T3 and T4 used to have damage boosters for enemies, dunno if they still do
The Mot survival terminal in the void still has the old t4 damage buff
Wish these guys would be updated to something more than just boring palette swaps. For that matter, when the hell is DE going to flesh out the Neural Sentry?
They have to be palette swaps though, dont they?
Since they are just regular grineer/corpus/infested units who somehow entered the void and went insane inda brain
INSANE IN THE BRAIN
I think the Unum of Cetus might be a hint at the nature of Neural Sentries...
I've got 2 big things to say
1st) this guys should have prime weapons like Lancer Braton Prime, Crewman Boar Prime, Nullifier cough pain cough Vectis Prime, Heavy Gunner Soma Prime, Bombard Paris Prime?? maybe also they could have Cernos Prime but meh Tigris could be OP for an already hated enemy but to clarify the reason they should have this is because it just makes sense that the drone would give them better weaponry then staying with that old weaponry.
2nd) I belive that these are scouts for example the Grineer scout wields a strun (figure that out I guess) and are less armored the drone just grabbed them and forced them to use the Dera or the Braton Prime according to my previous words, the Corpus scout is just a black suit Crewman wielding the Dera, now the extra enemies like Heavy Gunners, Nullifiers, and Bombards are just other troops that went with the previously mentioned scouts, the MOA's I really don't know what to say maybe they were already there or they are just Fusion MOA's corrupted basically just reprogramed like the ospreys.
also forgot to mention the Ancient they are just probably infested that were able to be controlled by the Orokin and just remained there protecting the tower/ship with their lives until we came.
I've just noticed a cool thing about corrupted Grineer and added it to Trivia, could someone please correct any possible grammar errors for me? English isn't my first language.
English not being your first language doesn't excuse anything, considering it's the most taught/learnt dual language.
It isn't. You shouldn't rely on false statistics.
>(Corrupted Nullifier) appear only on Tower 2, 3 and 4 Void missions
>(Corrupted Bombard) only appear in Tower 3 and above
Whoever wrote these 2 lines are lying.
I'm a fairly new player; still learning.
Did the Mantle mission, T1, on Earth
Literally fought 2 of those things in addition to everything else.
Coming here to learn how the heck are they so damn strong and how to fight them.
It's not talking about relics. It's talking about the Void.
Also, bring a weapon that does radiation damage or viral damage (or possibly both), 75% bonus damage. Puncture is also effective. Also, THEY JUST WON'T DIE
The terminology of T3, etc, should probably be replaced on this and other pages, as it is no longer used in the game and this confusing to newer players.
Corrupted Bombards are the single most retarded things ever added into any game. Ever. Why, apart from ALL other units does the one with homing, high damage AoE projectiles get so much armour. Just why??? Granted, you don't see them at super high levels often, but even then they are absolute pains. They give the fun-nullifiers a run for their money.
Eh they're cool
Learn to shot the rockets out of the air if they have too many coming your way?
I really hate the new sounds the corrupted make. For 3 reasons.
1. I felt the old sounds they made fitted them far better as it made me feel like I was fighting zombies (hear me out). Because they've lost control and now serve the void it makes me think that all, but their motor skills, is dead or deteriorated due to becoming corrupted in the void. I bet (despite the constant slaughter we commit) there are still some corrupted individuals from ages ago that could not possibly survive that long in the void without eating, drinking and resting. Even if they are kept alive by the powers of the void they are still brain dead. Why would the void want them to communicate through their old ways when they are already connected by the void like a insect host? The grunts, sighs, hisses and whatever sounds they made made sense because of being brain dead and controlled. It also added a nice sense to the creepy factor despite how utterly pathetic they are on normal levels in the void.
2. The voices sound bloody lazy. Add some filter to pre-existing voice lines that they would normally have and ding~! The grunts and what was lazy as well but it was UNIQUE. Giving them their voices just makes them sound silly (almost like they aren't corrupted at all). The sounds they made was so imbedded to me and now I can't take them seriously when they all sound like they have been smoking for 50 years.
3. They won't shut up. The void is super loud without turning down the sound in the settings now. I didn't want to hear their mutters with special filtering through the fight nonstop. If I wanted that then I would find a good crossfire map and play that instead. But I don't, I just want to farm the void like it was before this particular change.
This Tenno fully agrees with u,the old Void has an eerie feeling to it,liked the spooks it gives me,nice and solemn....not anymore...shame
I Fully agree with you, I think, that someone could make a pettition to recover the old sounds, as they were really great!
Bright and golden but desolatingly hollow.
