Wardens are special units that appear in Rescue missions, tasked with protecting prison complexes where hostages are kept. They appear as Heavy Gunners or Ballistas for Grineer missions, Corrupted Heavy Gunner for Orokin Moon missions, and Sniper Crewman and Corpus Tech for Corpus missions, and are more durable than normal units. They are however highly vulnerable to stealth attacks and takedowns.

Tactics[]
- Wardens can only be found in the prison complex tile of a Rescue mission, usually appearing in quantities of 3 to 4 units, though they can sometimes spawn up to a maximum of 10 units.
- When a player has been spotted, they will quickly activate the prison complex's Execution system, which sets off a timer counting down to the prisoner being killed.
Tips[]
- Due to their durability, Wardens can be tough to face head-on, which may make rescuing the hostage difficult. However, they are highly vulnerable to Stealth Attacks, taking +1600% or effectively 16x more damage, therefore one can usually be killed in a single hit despite their durability. Use this to eliminate Wardens from a position of stealth.
- Apart from stealth attacks, Wardens also share the same vulnerability to Counterattack Finishers, allowing players to kill them instantly if fighting them directly.
- Wardens have a stricter and more predictable patrol route than most enemies, which can be used to avoid them or set up stealth kills.
- The codex scanner can be used to highlight the location of any wardens, even through walls.
- Excalibur's Radial Blind can be useful for taking down Wardens since they are highly vulnerable to Stealth Attacks.
Notes[]
- Despite being based off Heavy Gunners, Grineer Wardens will sometimes be seen carrying
Vulkars instead. Corpus Wardens will also sometimes carry a
Supra instead of their normal
Lanka sniper rifles.
- Like many other enemies, Wardens can also spawn as Eximus units. Warden Eximus units feature Life Leech ability and improved movement speed.
Trivia[]
- The Eximus of both the Grineer, Corpus and Corrupted Wardens have 601 Cloned flesh and 401 Flesh respectively.
- These are the only Eximus variants to have 1 armor value higher than their non Eximus counterparts.
- Corpus Warden currently cannot be cut to pieces by slash weapons. Other enemies that share this bug include the Elite Crewman and Grineer Commander.

They only exist to get taken advantage of...
What a Life
How to scan Corrupted Warden/Eximus? Go to Zeipel on Lua brings any stealth frame and ballistica prime. Once you get there scan the Corrupted Warden Eximus first, then kill it with full charge shot of ballistica prime and Corrupted Warden specter appear. Don't forget to scan it too!!
Look guys! You can get fusion cores from the corrupted warden!
Where to find the Corrupted Warden? It says in moon tileset, but the only rescue there is as corpus faction...
True, but room is locked until you hack the doors open, meaning warden has been patrolling route for centuries before Corpus came, and will continue to do so untill you kill them. Basically, you will find them on Orokin Moon even though its ruled by corpus
corupted warden takes 3 scans for codex
Where you found them?
+1600% damage is not the same as 16x damage.
For example consider a situation when you deal 1 dmg.
+1600% would mean (1 + 1*1600/100)=17 dmg while 16x would mean 16*1 which is16 dmg
its because the 1600% has the 100% original damage included, so its like this:
1/100= 0,01*1600%=16
In that case don't use +%, just use %.
"16x more damage" doesn't mean dmg*16, it means dmg*16+dmg
+1600% therefore means dmg*(1600/100)+dmg
Can somebody add the corrupted warden. I think it's on earth rescue
Does Ash Blade Storm with Steel Charge will kill these things instantly?
Grineer Warden dropped a purple mod (bp?) but i was unable to pick it ... at first i thought it 's oberon, but now idk...as oberon drop in void/orokin
"Component blueprints can drop from any Eximus unit on any planet/node, Orokin Derelict, or Orokin Void."
As quoted from Oberon's page on this wikia. So that means his parts drop on every planet as well as other places - but only from Eximus units.
But when you say you weren't able to pick it up, what do you mean exactly? It stayed on the ground? Or you couldn't find it in your inventory later?
When they say stealth attacks, dies that only mean melee or any stealthy weapon?
Only melee
Stealth finishers, not stealth attacks.
Which weapon is the best to kill these guys (from far away) with?
anu kind of sniper, bow... a well modded latron (crit + corrosiv) will OS them with a HS...
Grineer Wardens now drop Decisive Judgement instead of World On Fire (In the PC 14.6.0 Update today) though I have alreayd killed at least 20 of them now and yet to see anything of value dropped at all.....absolutly nothing
Did you happen to find a swirling tiger stance?
You could scan them to see every mod drop, but I would like to know where to find them in update 15
....I thought all the Wardens died at Ostagar...
only the grey ones
I actually laughed out loud for this
Didn't Flemeth tell you? Ah well, who da hell remembers DAII.....
The Lanpra; A automatic lazor rifle when trollers roll in AND a Sniper guass thingy when taking out Bombards and naplams
DE please Make this! *too lazy to go on steam and steal the thumb up text*
It actually looks pretty damn cool, by the way.
Some minor tweaks and it looks far better than some legit weapons.
finally the corpus got a good weapon
Um Forums better place
every time i go to this page, i see a diffrent Warden
It's the same with the Tenno Specter page. It's meant to be like that.
The first time I`ve seen a non-Eximus Warden was on this page`s screenshots...
They seem to have higher Eximus chance on high levels for me.
On Neptune I'm usually getting 50/50 normal and eximus variants.
This is definitely the case. On Ceres, you will usually get nothing but Eximus Wardens.
The occasionally drop Oberon BPs
Those would be the Eximus type Wardens. All Eximus units will drop Oberon parts.
Not all but they do have a chance to drop Oberon parts if they are eximus on that moment
The Corpus Warden Also can use the Supra.
And the Grinner Warden can use the Vulkar.
"they look quite sexy."
Please fix.
