This + Hydraulic Crosshair = 87.75% crit chance for Lex Prime.

ok next gun crit damage mb. Then melees crit chance/dmg. If they go to rifle well. Point strike and vital sense are already ultra effective, it would be too op lol.

For people that are wondering (and hate math), the new Vasto pistol can reach 33% crit chance with a maxed Pistol Gambit mod.
OK. im so tired of reading ppl saying stupid crap about 100% crit chance means you should crit all the time. mods liks pistol gambit do NOT give total crit chance. they INCREASE the crit your guns already have built in by the noted ammount. 100% of 2.5% is NOT 102.5%. its 5%. because you give 100% more to what you have. there is no such thing as 100% chance to crit atm that im aware of.

He isn't dickhead, mod says +20% crit. chance, so it's pretty obvious that it adds 20% to existing crit. chance. Even if someone hasn't played waframe he should understand that.
you're ignoring the fact that "+20% crit" could absolutely mean either multiplicative or additive, so no, theres no magical reason why people should just "know"

That's Mean Lato have a 5% chance to do critical in every shot.

i dont get it usually when its 100% u should be seeing crits 100% of the time but theres 1 more upgrade slot 120% im confused
It doesn't give a pistol 100% critical chance it gives a pistol PLUS 100% critical chance.
please accually read next time it said that ur bass crit chance is increased so like go look up ur weapons bass crit and look at ur card 20 % so that means that a weapon with 5 % bass crit will be X by 1.2 so lets say u have 40 then its 1.4 see what i'm doing 1 stands for bass and the point is multiplied my ur card so at max ur looking at 5 % X 2.2 so ur doing 12 % chance!
The updates have nerfed the bonuses recieved per level of mod.
I just got my Banshee Warframe & immediately changed up the Weapons to Sniper Rifle & Pistol. My first 10 shots with Lex were all One Shot Kills. OK I admit the first time I used Lex was after a mission and after applying this Mod with the Added +20% Critical Increase. I'm not sure if the Mechanics some player did with his "research" The formula is (base crit%) + (base crit% X mod %) = crit rate % is correct or not.
Given that my first 10 shots with my Lex using Rank 0 Pistol Gambit aka +20% to my already 15% Base Crit resulted in 10 instant kills.
the fact that you got "instant kills" is comepletely irrelevant. the only thing that matters is whether or not you crit on those shots, meaning the numbers would be in yellow. if your base crit was 15% and your extra crit on the mod was 20%, than there is no way you would be getting crits on every single shot, even on the lowest level enemies (enemy level and category effect your crit chance as well) and if you took 10 shots and scored 1 shot kills on every single one, then that means at some point within those 10 shots you insta-killed an enemy with a non-crit. that would unfortunately mean that your 10 insta-kills shed no light on the subject, as you would be insta-killing every one of those enemies regardless of whether or not you crit.
Sounds like he never used the lex before. It is a strong gun that will kill most enemies with a head shot up until 20-30s. This guy seems a bit excited...
Well how it works is that you get your weapons base crit chance and multiply that by the percent increase. For example if my pistol had a 15% crit base and I had maxed 120% crit chance mod it would be 15x1.2= 18%. I don't know if that's 15%+18% or just plain 18% total though. More than likely from the wording I'd assume it to be 18% because having 33% crit chance seems kind of far fetched.
After some research it is the latter of my answer. The formula is (base crit%) + (base crit% X mod %) = crit rate %. So if I had a 15% base crit pistol combined with a 120% crit mod it would have a 33% crit rate.
If that is the case and it appears your math is correct, the following example should DISUADE anyone for using it :
LATO22 - Base crit. = 2.5%
Therefore, (2.5%) + (2.5% * 120%) = .025 + .030 = 0.055 or 5.5%
Dont waste your time, mod upgrades on weapons with low Base Crit. Not worth it
the only thing i can think of is that the increase is based on your weapons base crit chance, adding 120% to it like hornet strike adds up to 220% damage
currently i have it to 100% crit chance and i don't see any yellow damage with my akbolto. hope it's a bug
It's not a bug. This mod gives you PLUS critical chance not 100% critical chance. So, the Akbolto's base critical chance is 2.5%, PLUS 100% critical chance, means that rhe TOTAL critical chance for your Akbolto is 5.0%.
Akbolto gives 2.5% critical chance. Max Pistol Gambit increases critical chance +120%
That doesn't mean 2.5% + 120% = 122.5% chance. It means it takes your 2.5% chance and then adds 120% of that specific number. It's a bit more advanced than simple addition, and easier understood if you multiply the percentages as decimal values...
0.025 + (0.025 * 1.20) = 0.055
You end up with a 5.5% chance for Akbolto critical.
Im curious of why it's 120% chance in particular...
It amazes me that no one reads the post before asking the same stupid question.
This is one of the first games I have played that actually does math and percents correctly.
And not by coincidence, this game is pretty well balanced.
