Release Date: November 30th, 2022
Beware the telltale bloodcurdling howl when the primeval hunt begins anew. Nightfall engulfs the hallowed moonlit shrine, where sacred beasts of claw and fang prowl. Heed the wolven queen, Voruna, here she decrees her midnight feast. Reveling in feral carnage, her loyal lupine fiends, the silent Dynar, chaotic Raksh, ravenous Lycath, and ferocious Ulfrun ravage their prey once unleashed. Beneath lunar glow upon scarlet soil, tremble before her monstrous grin. Voruna and her wolves' hunt resumed in Update 32.2 (2022-11-30): Lua's Prey.

Trivia
- Voruna is the 51st unique Warframe to be released.
- Voruna's "wolf pack" consists of four different spectral wolf skulls attached to her shoulders and legs.
- Dynar is attached to her left shoulder and wears a small metal patch over its front eyes.
- Raksh is attached to her right shoulder and has mouth straps on its jawline.
- Lycath is attached to her left leg, possessing horns and a nose ring.
- Ulfrun is attached to her right leg, bearing a pair of long sharp fangs.
- Her concept artwork, created in partnership with renown comic book artist Joe "Joe Mad" Madureira, were first revealed in TennoCon 2022's Art of Warframe panel.
- Her colorized concept art was shown in Devstream 164, then her voted name reveal and the work-in-progress model sculpts followed in Devstream 165, and finally her gameplay demonstration in Devstream 166.
- Chronologically, she was showcased before the 50th Warframe
Styanax, whose animated teaser debut came after in Tennolive 2022.
- As a community incentive for donation to the Quest to Conquer Cancer 2022 campaign, the "Vote for the name for our Wolf-inspired Warframe" reward unlocked on October 21, 2022, in the official Warframe forums poll thread upon reaching $70,000 CAD. The reward tier was originally set at $80,000 CAD, then later shuffled forward to meet the internal development cutoff schedule.
- Digital Extremes compiled a list of eligible names for the QTCC public poll reward, from the initial Design Council exclusive suggestion forum thread, which opened after Devstream 164 until October 14, 2022.
- Once the QTCC poll closed, the top 5 names were used with Voruna coming out at first place, Raksha in second, Lycath in third, Ulfra in fourth, and Dynara in fifth.[1] The runner-up names were given to Voruna's four wolf-heads; aside from Lycath, DE decided to alter the other three wolves' names to be more gender-neutral.[2]
- Voruna's name was suggested by Design Council member Orabell.
- The name Voruna is a variation of Žvorūna, a name synonymous to Medeina, the Lithuanian goddess of forests, trees, and animals. In Lithuanian mythology, she is described as a lone voluptuous and beautiful huntress often escorted by a pack of wolves, with her form exuding both divine and demonic traits.
- With the addition of Warframe Passives since Update 18.13 (2016-05-27), Voruna is the first newly-developed Warframe to not possess a dedicated passive ability of her own. Instead, each of her four abilities enables in-mission selection of a passive effect by holding down the ability button.
- She was originally planned to release with The Duviri Paradox, which was delayed until 2023 for further development. In Devstream 165, she was announced to release with Lua's Prey instead.

For melee builds, amazing frame. Better than Kullervo.
Does anyone know if there's an accessibility option to limit the visual effect of Ulfrun's Descent? I dearly love playing Voruna, but the smokey vignette on the screen when she's a-prowling gets old pretty fast.
I hear you but tbh I helminthed her 4 for an armor strip so I dont see that effect anymore.
Does Crimson Archon Shard work for the critical damage of her fourth ability?
Doesnt her entry mean, like Ivara, the Prime wasn't her first variant
Prime means the best version. It doesn't always mean first.
Why is this the longest frame to grind? 20 minutes gives 20-24 lua thrax or every chance is soo small(might be wrong on the longest frame grind)
Because you get the parts from completing waves in the mission, the lua thrax plasm is just to set a maximum amount of time for the farm (and give you a reason to play the mode after you get voruna and her weapons)
And more grinding if you want to use the lua thrax plasm to buy AND build Voruna's component parts if you're too unlucky not to get her parts in different runs
Still better than endlessly pulling the RNG slot machine.
Happy to say, that aside from her 4 i really like the abilities, one can use her in a variety of ways. Had to helminth her 4 with roar though, as that seemed like a more fitting ability for my melee focused playstyle. That made her clear not just rooms but tilesets extremely quickly, so i am a happy camper. I also found out that roar might benefit the status effects from her 2, making them double dip.
Manifold Bond lets your companion abilities proc the damage types on the weapon its using. If you have a weapon with slash, it will spread slash around. As long as those enemies die, you will get a charge back as the only condition is enemies must have slash procs on them when they die.
Diriga is popular due to its arc coil ability, which is a short cooldown zap which will reach enemies you lung at with your 2 or 4, adding slash.
Like I said, that is exactly what I do, except with a hound instead, and it doesn't work.
I just rushed a Diriga out of the foundry to test if it wasn't some kind of shenanigan specific to it, but it isn't.
The wording on the augment is very misleading. The refund only happens to slash procs you yourself applied, not companions or other people. And the only ways to do that is what I said on my previous reply.
Oh idk it seemed to be working for me tbh. Maybe something is bugged?
Very helpful info Darth thanks!
Aw, DE managed to unfix her. attacking with her 4 breaks invisibility from her 1 again
Hm... or not? the ability info here confirms it works as it should. could've sworn she remained completely invisible while lunging with her 4...
You will break invisibility for a second when casting her second ability or lunging with her fourth ability, but recloak after. Unlike attacking with weapons where the stealth is turned off. It's just enough time for enemies to notice you and potentially attack, but not enough time for you to get horded unless you spam.
She's literally a slot machine: you press her 2 to spin the slots, if you land a slash proc from between the the 5 status ones, you win, not because the proc itself is strong (god knows it's weak af) but because now you can spread her 4's slash proc to other enemies (her 4 procs slash when you are under shroud of dynar)
Just get Ulfrun's Endurance and press 2 more, her aoe dps is consistently insane
Slash proc is not weak even after the patch. and she makes me hit 600k+ and when i say + i mean upwards to 900k slash bleeds.
Furry
Very good very good, comedy king, marry my daughter, you get a cookie. What was your point though?
That I'm a furry and I love her
Why furrys get mad been called furry? They want be called animal fuc**?
And to play devils advocate "Everyone is a furry if the art is good enough"
The Lua Thrax Plasm cost is way of.
BP 125
Other Parts 75
That's what the wiki says? Nobody made an edit after your comment.
Maybe you are looking at the Lua Thrax Plasm needed to build each component (50/25/25/25) and confusing that with the cost to purchase each blueprint (125/75/75/75)
the way status effect enhancements progress, the DE doesn't realize the existence of frames like this, the Citrine Lavos Zephyr and Mirage follow the same path of the AoE status spam, this direct power increase they are receiving, when the numbers become popular enough the nerf will happen to all of them.
I hope not
Why so thicc tho?
To have something to hold on to ;)
Voruna my beloved
Based~
I wish they would give her a real passive ability. Her current 'passive' literally is just the hold function of her existing abilities lol. She should have have a boost in speed when taking damage or something.
I would rather her have a real passive like enemies who attack voruna have a chance to be panicked and run away. simple as. Her "passive" is a baked in hold function of her abilities, That's not a passive and i find it very funny some people don't seem to realize that.
You are making zero sense. The passive itself is being able to choose one of the four hold abilities. They wouldn't exist without her passive. The reason her passive uses her 1-4 ability buttons is because passive abilities DO NOT HAVE designated buttons.
Darth has a point. theres alot of frames that have multiple toggle or hold options to abilities, and they still get a passive.
Voruna's passive allows you to toggle between the four wolves for their crazy buffs
What if i cast empower then ulfrun descent
Does voruna's forth benefit from purple shards namely the melee crit dmg one
No because it’s an ability not linked to melee.
Which is horrible because it should be
Um...her 4 counts as a melee attack...what are you talking about
It’s considered melee damage for her 3rd ability after they fixed it in a prior update "Voruna’s Ulfrun's Descent kills will now count as Melee for synergy with Lycath's Hunt Health orb drops.". It’s still considered ability damage.
She has an interesting synergy with Melee Duplicate, and now it's gonna be made easier to get it's gonna be a lot more viable to shoot for.
Her 1 brings any melee weapon with less than 100% crit chance, up to exactly 100% crit chance. Meaning it always triggers Melee Duplicate for the gigacrit (and also a bonus slash proc).
Exodia Force doesnt crit.
No one cares about Zaw's unless its on Wisp build lmao
Got lucky, 3/4 parts and enough Plasm to build+buy part left just in 1 hour.
Nekros does'nt multiply the Voruna drops but maybe the Trax Plasm since they are enemy drops
Lucky
I did the same and got 3 systems. Ran another C rotation separately and got another systems. There are people who get only chassis and then there are people who get only neuro. Warframe had been like this for at least the past 8+ years I've been playing.
It's not Warframe that's been like this, it's mathematics and probabilities. What they could do to alleviate that is introduce a mechanic that forces a different drop if you get too unlucky, kind of like the karmic dice in BG3. I doubt they would do that, as I doubt it benefits them.
Advice for her farm:
Bring Nekros, or any other method for sustaining life support
Always camp. Dont be retarded. The more spread out you are, the more spread out the Thraxes will be, which means LESS LUA THRAX PLASMS
Stay until 20 minutes. That's when the useful loot table drops
Since this is an endgame farm (no shit, look at enemy levels), be prepared
Dont buy any blueprints until you have enough Lua Thrax Plasms for everything. Some blueprints may drop which means discount
As for the frame itself, its great. I just wish she actually gets on all fours when on her 4.
Her augment Ulfrun's Endurance is also necessary if you plan to use play with her 4 since it basically allows you to use her 4 infinitely (as long as enemy dies)
With that above, to be honest I have no need for Atlas anymore. He seems like a joke now.
Only Idle animation
Her 4 isn't good, even in high level normal missions. As for the Atlas comment, he still holds up if built right.
I am not sure how high level you are going. I just did it on steel path Zariman
Install her augment, equilibrium, and precision intensify
Activate 4, 1, 3.
Press 2 on enemy then 4
Repeat.
Augment gives infinite 4 if they die.
2 and 4 does not break 1's invisibility .
3 gives health which is turned to energy by equilibrium.
2 severely weakens the enemy to be finished by 4 very quickly. Enemies killed while 2 is applied will spread nearby, and will refresh duration of her 3.
Her 4's slash damage also spreads to nearby enemies.
In case things go wrong, her 4's passive will save your life.
Overall I'd personally rank them from best to worst:
Ash with Glaive Prime > Voruna (both regular melee, or her 4 gameplay) > Inaros (recently reworked) > Valkyr (slide spam) > Atlas
Atlas needs to build up rubble and its not like he can be invisible or invincible.
I have problem building up rubble. I'll revisit him later soon. Been having good time with new Inaros rework
I said using Glaive Prime. Glaive Prime does millions of slash damage which works with Ash's bleed passive (Slash procs inflicted by Ash's weapons and abilities deal 25% more damage and last 50% longer.). Not even enemies level 1000+ and beyond stand a chance. They die in seconds
Ash is invinsible (cant be canceled in any way) and has fast mobility, so you can just run around throwing Glaive Prime without care. so in other words, just put in invisibility. You dont have to press anything else. Ash is more braindead than Kullervo, like how Revenant is braindead tank than any other tank warframes
I dont have Kullervo. I dont want to do operator gameplay. I only go to Duviri to get incarnon. I'll wait for his Prime
Also aesthetically Ash looks cooler to me. I already bought his tennogen and deluxe skin
She makes me wish I was a furry, just wear fursuits and go to conventions. I wanna jump on people, meow bark beg for pets and belly rubs. I wanna be her, I want to pounce on people and get hugged by bird men.
My dude is in hella denial
You're so brave for posting this on an actual account
Boy do i have news for you
Whos gonna tell him ?
