Blueprints Requiring Lua Thrax Plasm[]
Gathering Tips[]
- As number of Centurions spawned at the end of each rotation is number of members in the squad plus 1, doing a mission in a team has a potential to get more Lua Thrax Plasms than doing solo.
- Lua Thrax Plasms dropped by Centurions are affected by Resource Booster.
- Lua Thrax Plasms given as a rotation reward is not affected by Resource Booster.
- Plasm drops will despawn after 60 seconds, so make sure to grab them quickly.
Notes[]
- To purchase all Lua Thrax Plasm offerings from Yonta at least once, players will need 1,110 Lua Thrax Plasm.
- Purchasing a fully-ranked copy of one Arcane will require an additional 315 Lua Thrax Plasm
- Purchasing one fully-ranked copy of each Arcane will require an additional 1,260 Lua Thrax Plasm.
- Coupled with the crafting costs, players will need a total of 2,595 Lua Thrax Plasm to acquire one of everything.
- Including a second copy of Voruna for Helminth, players will need a total of 2,720 Lua Thrax Plasm.
Patch History[]
Hotfix 32.2.4 (2022-12-07)
- Fixed a case where Lua Thrax Plasm drops were not dropping at 100% with a Resource Booster active on the Steel Path Conjunction Survival nodes.
- Fixed being unable to chat link Lua Thrax Plasm.
- Hotdropped Tuesday afternoon: Fixed being unable to purchase Voruna’s Blueprint more than once from Archimedean Yonta’s Lua Thrax Plasm trade in.
- Fixed blueprint requirements in the Foundry using the Lua Thrax Plasm owned amount number in the UI for items that require base Thrax Plasm.
- This was purely a UI issue, the right resource was being consumed.
Update 32.2 (2022-11-30)
- Introduced.

...hell yeah I know it's above in the aquisition tab, but hilarious anyway.
These can also drop from Thrax in The Circuit and possibly the Undercroft,
You got the normal version, not the Lua
No, I got the Lua version. The Lua version drops from the Hollow Thrax. The Hollow Thrax spawn in the Circuit and the Undercroft. The normal Thrax Plasm is only dropped from the normal Thrax found on the Zariman.
No, you got the normal version. Hollow Thrax spawn in Duviri but their drops are not the same. You would have known this if you had done some testing to back up your claim.
It's a bug. I have had Lua plasm drop few times in SP circuit too, also regular resources that shouldn't drop from Duviri. Most likely it causes some enemies to use their default loot pool instead of the Duviri one.
Is the drop chance affected by resource drop chance booster?
Lua Thrax Plasms dropped by Centurions are affected by Resource Booster.
I specifically asked for chance booster not resource booster
There was a hotfix for it so probably
He answered you correctly.
The amount you can get according to wiki is 3-4 so it will be doubled with resource booster, using the chance booster won't affect it since it's not a drop like orokin cells, neurodes etc.
I think Nightmare drops 5 as well? I just left mission at 5:35 and received 7 with no boosters.
It seems like Resource drop chance booster and Chroma's Effigy MIGHT affect the drop chance. All of my tests were done within the effigy. The rotation-reward consistently gave +6 plasm.
The first wave had MOST dropping 1x, and one 4x.
The second wave consistently dropped 2x, with one 4x. I'm not sure how the calculation works,
EDIT: 3rd wave dropped 1x, 1x, 1x, and 2x.
4th wave dropped 10 in total (excluding 6 from guaranteed rotation).
10 minutes in. Chroma's Effigy + Resource Drop chance booster + Steel Path (Circulus) + Relay Drop Chance Blessing + Smeeta Kavat
EXTRACTED WITH: 101 Lua Thrax Plasm, after 42m (8 waves).
Not sure they changed this, probably did get patched but Chroma wasnt giving me anything extra.
You're right, I believe that none of the warframe abilities affect the Lua Thrax Plasm drop, unfortunately.
Wow! I wish i could boost the plasm credits droprate so far! too bad my only option is smeet 'n repeat.
You need 1025 Plasm to buy all parts and recipes and craft them. With Quadruple resource boos (event+booster), you get around 3/min on average (60 on a 20min run). That'd be around 6 hours of farming if you have the worst luck ever.
Why would the default assumption be farming under a quadruple booster, a vanishingly rare circumstance?
That's also assuming you don't get any parts you need while farming for those supposed 6 hours, the plasm is basically meant to get the parts you're missing, not all of them
They did say if you have the worst luck ever though
Definitely didnt take me that long to get enough
TLDR: You can get Voruna + Sarofang + Perigale in less than 40 survival runs of 20 minutes each, it seems fair to me.
If you want to have 100% of what you can get, you need 2,235 (725) Lua Thrax Plasm:
315 = Arcane Blessing;
315 = Arcane Rise;
315 = Arcane Frostbite;
315 = Conjunction Voltage;
275 = Voruna;
250 = Perigale;
250 = Lua Circulus Scene;
200 = Sarofang;
Important note: I'm gonna do the math for 100% and I'll put in parenthesis the required amount for Voruna, Perigale, and Sarofang because that's what most people will go for.
You get 5 Lua Thrax Plasm every 5 minutes in each rotation, this means, in the worst possible scenario, you'll have to complete 447 (145) missions in survival, which is 2,235 (447) minutes or 37~38 (7~8) hours playing the game.
Every time you complete a mission (AKA 5 minutes) Centurions will spawn. The number of Centurions is the number of players + 1, this means you can have up to 5 Centurions spawning every 5 minutes. Each centurion has 30% to drop 1 Lua Thrax Plasm after dying and the drop is affected by boosters, this means, in a perfect scenario, you can have a maximum of 5 (all 5 drops) * 2 (resource booster) * 2 (smeeta buff) * 2 (lotus gift) * 2 (Chroma) = +80 Lua Thrax Plasm every 5 minutes, a total of 85 Lua Thrax Plasm.
Since everybody knows this won't happen, the best we can do is to guarantee resource booster (*2 per drop) and chroma (*2 per drop). Let's assume the normal drop rate is 2 out of the 5 Centurions (even knowing it is possible to not happen, I remember to defeat the centurions twice and don't get dropped), this is the final math:
Every 5 minutes we can get 5 (per rotation) + 2 (drop change) * 2 (resource booster guaranteed) * 2 (chroma guarantee) = 13 Lua Thrax Plasm. Since we need 2,235 for 100% (or 725 for Voruna + Sarofang + Perigale), we can get it in 172 runs (or 56 runs).
REMEMBER THAT every 20 minutes you get one of those items, so if you play for 20, 40, or 60 minutes (or +20 minutes variation) you'll require one less item (unless you're unlucky and get multiple copies of the same item).
How does chroma double drops? Are they coded as credits for some insane reason?
Yeah, fuck all that. I'll just wait until devs increase drops because no fucking way I'm spending more than 2 hours on a single frame (guaranteed total drops).
40 x 20 = 800 minutes ÷ 60 = ~14 hours.
Bro.... Just shut up, do you really think that's fair? if so you are one of those: Stupid, Don't work, Don't study or Don't work & Don't study.
That's if you never get any of the items from rotation drops. So if you're part of the 0.01%, that's the longest it will take. Most people aren't part of the 0.01% by definition.
Does the actual drop despawn after being dropped by a Thrax? Or can you just wait until you get a Smeeta buff to pick them up.
IIRC there's a limit for number of simultaneous physical drops so eventually they will despawn. Not sure if they share the same mechanic as say Steel Essence drops though.
"100% drop rate" "rare" .......ok
Both are correct. The listed 100% drop rate applies to it being a mission reward every 5 minutes, but the rarity applies to how often it drops from enemies. It's only available from one type of enemy which spawns in extremely low quantities (which is what puts Oxium at uncommon quality), and isn't a guaranteed drop from said enemy (bumping it up to rare).
Lua Thrax Plasms dropped by Centurions are affected by Resource Booster. and charm too so if u are lucky i can farm it without losing ur sanity
They are NOT affected by any Boosters, feel free to view https://i.imgur.com/f5Ph38v.jpg to see I had x2 x2 = x4 boosters and drops gave me 11 plasm (x4 boost means multiples of 4 like 4, 8, 12, 16 for each drop) which possibly can't be if your claim is to be true so it's false.
You know that it's also a rotation reward right? The drops from Thrax are affected by boosters, ones from rotation rewards aren't.
The math in the notes has probably been done by a 5yo.
Just put that crafting needs 225 plasm in there instead of hiding it in the chapter above.
[for a total of 2,310. Coupled with the crafting costs, players will need a total of 2,475 Lua Thrax Plasm.] => 2475-2310=???
Spawn for Thrax enemies seems bugged. Even though Lotus comments on them spawning sometimes they do not spawn at all.
Yeah I've gone a full hour where they've spawned only a few times and then they will also disappear before I can loot them in OP mode. It seems like it happens more often soloing.
Drop chances are pathetic and very inconsistent. And you need to farm this for warframe and weapons...
Welcome to DE
Remember when Condition Overload was a .02 drop chance from a singular enemy in the Uranus tileset? ahhh, good times.
You get 5 for each rotation of Conjuntion Survival guaranteed. So it's actually not that bad.
Yeah, in junction survival it's really fast!
Does anyone know if loot abilities affect the drops? To me it seems like Thrax can only drop one but I find it inconclusive
https://warframe.fandom.com/wiki/Thrax_Legatus#Notes
Drop boosters definitely affect it. Doesn't affect the fixed reward from the rotation, but it does affect the drop from Thrax enemies.
These guys don't even spawn for me half the time in SP or they also instantly despawn. Probably has something to do with sentients, acolytes and them all being on a similar timer.
Same happens on normal star chart node.
~1 plasm per minute from SP. are you serious, and the parts never drop
Fuck DE.
Amen
At least you can spend excess plasm for missing parts so you wont spend eternity doing this cause you have one thing missing
Plasm is hardly a grind, You can earn like 80-100 an hour and only need 315 for a full set, which is likely to be complete before having a full set. Everything is very expensive, much like Kahl and other recent shops.
Nice math so you'r just collecting parts and don't want build them.
80-100 an hour? Your math sucks. With a 30% drop rate, a FULL team on SP Curculus will average 7 every 5 minutes. 7x12=84. IF your team can do a straight hour run on SP Curculus. Most players are going to be doing 20 and 40 minute runs on Curculus. That's going to end up being a max of about 65-70 per hour. Depending on load times, start up time, exit time, and if you do 20 or 40 minute runs.
You're right my math is bad - I'm getting 100 per hour and thats with constant despawns and sometimes not even spawning at all soloing. In a squad of 4 you should be getting 200+ an hour. I've never gotten numbers that low. Maybe you don't have a booster and kavat.
1h sp at Circulus net me 72 plasm without any buff.
30 mins on Yuvarium (non-steel path) net me about 17 plasm with a resource booster and about 13 without one.
