That is a total fair complain, this is a mod that comes back every 5 - 8 months... is not like you can just farm it, sure you can buy it from other players but not everybody has plat to spare or don't like to buy from others and prefer to farm it

some mod in this category are super easy to farm. Namely toxin ones, because you cant stay in mot for 20mins without hearing someone keep babbling about prophecy. i mean vor.
Other mods are somtimes farm-able-yet-too-low-chance-to-get, like the ones from Hive mission.
This one, on the other hand, currently have only ONE resource and its baro'kiteer. The basicl plinciple of "supply and demand" takes care of the price, you know.
You completely missed the point. This and Voltaic Strike, both of them being arguably necessary for status builds for secondaries and melees, are locked behind Baro, a time limited RNG source. You could go months without ever having an opportunity to get them, while all other dual stat status mods can be aquired at any time by farming missions. It doesn't make sense at this point. The mission where you could quire them was a one time thing years ago with no sign of it returning. They need to add them both as rare drops from some drop table somewhere in my opinion.
Really if this is a mod you are missing you should try your hand at trading for one. Some people still have copies for people who miss Baro inventory. I don't know the price, but I'm sure if it was important you can always ask a friend to help keep an eye out for it (if you don't check every time Baro is here on some website to see what he actually brought...people make sites for time sensitive vendors so you don't have to play the game all the time). If you think about how things have gone, I'd bet building a prime set (frame, weapon, or whatever...people still don't have Kavasa Prime collar) or something would net you some quick platinum. Why the fuck can't this drop from the Hive Sabatoage mission? Two of the other ones drop from there.
Because DE love padding the drop tables with garbage you can get a million other places, to make things so hard to get people are forced to buy plat.
The only mods that should be limited to Baro are the primed ones, not anything you need to make the elemental combos you need to do damage against specific factions (including the status effects). Even the Slash mods are now available from the Hydrolyst.
You shouldn't have to wait the best part of a year (or pay inflated plat prices because this shows up so rarely) to be able to have a corrosive/magnetic/radiation proc build on your secondary.
Ever since they released the cicero mods with corrupted Vor i expected the counterpart this one to be released with some new annoing mini boss but nah, never unless you want to count Baro. Sometimes i just wish they made Prisma mission where you have to pay ducats to enter and you can only bring one reward, maybe once a day or 3 attempts a week.
What the hell.. this is such a good idea... But as we know DE, they're doing this so people pay/buy tons of plat to buy them from the player market...

After returning to Warframe 10 months later, I sold my Jolt for 65P thinking it was still being sold frequently by Baro only to find out high ballers are selling it for 100+ which is ridiculous. Well I should have sold it for at least 80P. I bet the MR 17 who I sold it to definitely jumped at this chance to resell it, dang.
