- For the companion, see Hound (Companion).
Hounds are robotic proxies belonging to the Sisters of Parvos, functioning akin to Kuva Thralls. They can be mercied with the Parazon to gain progress towards knowing the Sister's Requiem Mod sequence. All hounds have a 5% chance of dropping a Requiem Relic[1][2] with each relic having an equal chance to be dropped.
They have varying body parts that are randomly generated on creation of the Sister, determining their weapons and abilities. Vanquishing the Sister will reward the player their Hound as a Companion.
Notes[]
Compared to their Grineer Thrall counterparts, Hounds are more durable and aggressive; unlike Thralls, a Hound will also start to hunt down players as soon as it spawns, and can absorb significantly more punishment compared to fairly fragile thralls, whilst also being relatively small, agile, and hard to hit. However, they also spawn much less frequently, and will cap out at a maximum of three spawns per mission. To compensate for both their increased threat level and relative rarity, Hounds reward significantly more Murmur progress than Thralls, and as such it only requires around six to seven Hound Mercies to fully reveal a single part of the Requiem Sequence.
Hounds being Mercied also causes the Sister to build Rage much faster, increasing the likelihood of an invasion; if a Sister invades a mission, she will always be accompanied by a single Hound (even if the three-Hound limit has already been hit). This Hound should be disabled and Mercied before the Sister's first health bar is depleted, or else she will command it to self-destruct which will deny the opportunity to make Requiem Sequence progress and inflict damage on anyone standing too close to it. The Sister can summon up to 3 additional Hounds in total per health bar with a ~30 second cooldown in between.
Their shields cannot be bypassed by
Toxin damage or procs, and they have partial resistance to Warframe Abilities with their effects being reduced to 1/4th of their duration. For example,
Rhino Stomp will still suspend them but at a significantly reduced duration.

Was having trouble with these guys, but magnetic, radiation, and a faction mod destroy them easily.
Whoever bothered to make a separate page for Hounds maybe should also do the same for Kuva thralls (currently it’s a part of the Kuva Lich page), that or either this page isn’t supposed to exist
Disagree, you can't get a kuva thrall as a companion.
This page isnt about the companion hound now fucking is it tho, regardless of being able to get one
Stropha or Redeemer Prime with a heavy attack build modded for radiation one-shots them, just like most things.
For the page, hounds have proto shield, alloy armor and robotic health. Additionally, like most bosses and sub-bosses, they cannot be inflicted with more than 4 of any status effect.
To anyone looking for a easy way to kill one the best way I use I'll update if I can find out a better one but nyx's 2 destroys shields and armor making them oneshots to a majority of weapons "that I use" not sure if other armor shreds/shield destroys work hopefully they do
Unairu stuff works, but i think your method is more easily accessable
Using "Reflex Denial" means the Hound still receives that 90% dmg or totally returns it?
The Hound will NOT take the damage, it get absorbed and released in a smallish AOE effect. Unfortunately, it does this with YOUR fire, as well.
Anyone know if the hounds actually take toxin? Seems to go to their shield, exactly how Toxin isn't supposed to work. Or is it due to severe DOT/proc damage reduction? Or DR in general? Really annoyed by that.
"Their shields cannot be bypassed by Toxin damage or procs."
Wat the dog doin’?
What is that melee attack/close range attack they do that one shots just about every frame?
"Let me help! says a rad-ed tenno with aoe weapon from behind you" attack
When the Sisters order the hound to self destruct, they really do self destruct, making you lose out on murmurs
Doesn’t matter when you have all 3 murmurs maxed and known.
Doesn't matter about buying carrots when you already own an unlimited supply of carrots
"Doesn’t matter when you have all 3 murmurs maxed and known." what kind of useless garbage kind of thing is this to add?
I wish they could use MOA(pet) weapon, I has hoped for a Hyena like companion for so long, it just make no sense that these hound can't use gun.
Lol
Then how many hyena have seen can shoot plasma gun? they are robotic construct, of course you can slap a gun on them.
Why do I imagine a dog w a gun on top of his head and he can shoot when he pulls a rope with his mouth tied to the trigger.
Just like sharks with lasers on their backs. Just without the water!
It's disarm ability so annoying, any idea to counter it?
Pick up your gun/use melee. It's annoying, yes but I'm not sure there's anything that prevents disarms. Even status proc protection like Titania's Spellbind cast on yourself doesn't stop them.
Switch to melee to prevent it.
It seems hounds have a weird damage reduction system. Using high damage one shot weapons are extremely inffective, as it seems the damage is severely reduced. Thus, weapons that still do decent damage but fire many rounds seem to perform better. Takes like 7 shots from a fully modded Tenet Plasmor to kill one, around 9~ seconds. On the other hand, my crit status Tenet Diplos burns it down in almost half a second, and I'm pretty sure the crit's doing most of the work, since heat and viral don't really have an effect on the hounds' massive shields.
The arquebex does 300-600 dmg on crit. Mind you my build does 100k+ dmg. But my mausolon does 20k-50k dmg in build. It does better and mows down the sister lich in final battle.
It's odd, my Twin Roggas are near useless against the hounds at any level, but they'll literally one shot the sister at level 1 and 2. I don't really understand this damage reduction system.
I found a Stropha Heavy build with Magnetic one-shots them most of the time though
Link dat stropha build
As companions after vanquishing Sister of Parvos, I am hoping we can eventually break these down and reuse the parts to make a new stylized hound. Not sure if there is a current way. Got about 6 extras of these things I don't even want, lol.
Yeah, the way it is now makes no sense. Repeated weapons can be salvaged by valence, but these things, makes no sense to drop so many of them. I think I better solution is to simply drop the parts to allow us to construct them speaking with Legs, instead of dropping a whole hound AND parts to construct a custom one.
U can give them to legs in fortuna and turn them in for standing if u have extras.
I think they all have different attacks from each other... One shoots a blue laser and another one breaks up into 3 smaller ones... The one I currently have pops a moving Frost bubble around it's self and shouts laser balls... I am not sure about the rest... I have 5 different hounds...
You can put diff hounds precept mods on other hounds btw.
