Guardsmen are heavily augmented Grineer melee units wielding the
Amphis staff. They can most commonly be found in the Grineer Shipyards on Ceres.
Tactics[]
Claimed to be "Vicious Melee Fighters" by the Lotus, the Guardsmen are true to their description.
- Like traditional Melee units, they will often use rush tactics and overwhelm their targets with a quick flurry of strikes.
- These and the Bailiffs are the only type of Grineer units that can parry attacks in front of them, which makes solo battles difficult as these would simply chase their lone target.

Prosecutor Variant[]
Prosecutors are elite Guardsmen hand-picked by Councilor Vay Hek. They have a 100% chance to drop
Javlok Capacitors on death.
- Prosecutors are made unique by elemental shield auras that they use. There are four kinds of Prosecutor, one for each of the four base elemental damage types –
Heat,
Cold,
Electricity, and
Toxin. They project an aura that sets allies Damage Type Modifier to physical and non-combined elements to -100%, and gives -85% Damage Type Modifier to combined elemental damage types, but sets allies Damage Type Modifier to the corresponding non-combined element to +100%.
- All increases or decreases are multiplicative to health and shield damage type modifiers.
- Multiple Prosecutor auras stack.
Void damage can also deal damage to Prosecutors of any type.
- Prosecutors are likely to spawn after alarms have been triggered.
- Prosecutors can share their immunity buff with Tenno should they be allied with the Tenno, such as when summoned through
Nekros's
Shadows of the Dead or during an Invasion when the player has sided with the Grineer. - Prosecutors are considered Eximus units for all purposes (for example, dropping
Carbides on the Grineer Shipyard tileset). - Prosecutors are most commonly found in the Rescue mission Nuovo on Ceres. The Lotus will warn the Tenno of the Prosecutor's appearance. They will then be found patrolling the area, near the prisoner.

I've found that the best way to spawn these is at Nuovo, Ceres. Once you get to the holding cell make sure to alert the wardens and specifically let the wardens raise the alarm. After that they should spawn if you don't immediately release the prisoner.
Alternative, mobile defense missions also spawn a lot.
Even Tenno can't parry when in ragdoll mode. Anytime I see one I switch to Operator and kill it with void.

They still did not fix the bug that drains your all energy when you melee them.
It's not a bug though.
Mobile defense on Sedna, three prosecutors spawn at once and none with the element I have. Not only Lotus didn't warn me, but also decided it would be great to change the objective to exterminate...
I just found some Prosecutor in Deimos Exterminate - Phlegyas during a Steel Path mission inbetween those many Grineer enemies. Does this tile now count as Grineer Shipyard or has Deimos it's own new spawn "conditions"?

Are you sure you have killed Prosecutor? Those are neither normals Guardsmen nor Eximus Guardsmen. They are a special variant that is even getting annaunced by the Lotus.
What on earth is with the instant energy drain the second i make contact with them? Am I missing something? Max to 0 in the blink of an eye.
DE doesn't want you to have fun with warframe abilities
They also drain your energy when they block your bullets. Shot one with my Kuva Karak and he instantly drained my whole energy. They are heavily glitched and broken in the current state as they can block every attack even when stunned or ragdolled, knocking you back every time. Also had two prosecutors next to each other in a sortie rescue, resulting in both being absolutely unkillable.

All guardsmen will drain your energy if they parry your melee attack while they're chanelling their melee. The amount drained depends on the amount of dmg your melee deals. I dont see this mentioned anywhere on this page and think it would be a helpful addition.

Are they bugged or something? They'll block even when stunned.
They should move faster and attack faster. Maybe have them do some slide attacks/charge attacks while coming at you.
And then, when that all is done, make them appear in more missions.

God so obnoxious when they magically block your melee and stun you even when they are ragdolled
