Exalted Weapons are special weapons exclusive to certain Warframes that can only be summoned and used upon activating their corresponding Warframe's ability. Exalted Weapons will take the place of the weapon in the corresponding weapon slot when activated (e.g.
The stats and performances of these weapons are affected by mods equipped on the weapons themselves and also by certain mods equipped on the Warframe, such as Ability Duration mods, depending on the weapon. Certain mods, such as Weapon Augments, cannot be equipped on Exalted Weapons and Riven Mods are not generated for them. These weapons do not utilize ammunition and instead consume energy, either per shot or continuously, while active. To see which specific mods affect which weapon, visit their ability pages.
All Exalted Weapons come pre-built with an Orokin Catalyst, regardless of whether the Warframe has an equipped Orokin Reactor or not, and can be Polarized with Forma.

One frame comes with a weapon exclusive to it that is not an Exalted Weapon, and is mechanically a mundane weapon in all important respects, but still shares a few characteristics with Exalted Weapons (see Notes):
Garuda/
Garuda Prime
- Ability: Passive — Garuda Talons are equipped as long as she does not have a melee weapon, rather than being channeled through an ability.

Garuda Talons/
Garuda Prime Talons
Notes[]
- All Exalted Weapons cannot equip Primary, Secondary, or Melee Arcane Enhancements, though they will still benefit from respective Warframe Arcanes (e.g.
Arcane Fury).
Arcane Arachne has no effect on Exalted Melees.
- All primary and secondary Exalted Weapons do not have an Exilus slot.
- Kills with Exalted Weapons grant 100% of their Affinity, as well as kill and assist stats, to their respective Warframes, as they count as ability kills.
- Exalted Weapons always gain the same amount of Affinity as their Warframe, but level faster due to the lower Affinity requirements for weapons.
- Focus Lenses cannot be installed on Exalted Weapons, but they feed a Warframe's Lens as described.
- This is also true for Garuda Talons, as an exception to their non-exalted status.
- While Exalted Weapons gain rank, they do not contribute towards a player's Mastery Rank.
- This is also true for Garuda Talons, as an exception to their non-exalted status.
- Exalted Weapons can be used and will benefit from equipped mods in weapon-specific Sortie missions.
- Damage dealt by Exalted Weapons depends on the rank of the weapon's ability. The weapon's rank only affects mod capacity.
- While Set Mods can be equipped on Exalted Weapons, they do not benefit from, nor contribute to the set bonuses.
- The Sacrificial Mod Set is an exception to this.
- The Vigilante Mod Set and Gladiator Mod Set can still apply if equipped on Primary, Melee, or Robotic Weapons, but not on the Exalted Weapon itself.
- This is not true for Garuda Talons, as an exception to their non-exalted status.
- Melee Combo Counter Mods (except
Drifting Contact), Acolyte Mods (e.g. Blood Rush and Weeping Wounds), Amalgam Mods, and
Dispatch Overdrive cannot be equipped on Exalted Weapons.
- Garuda Talons is an exception, as it is also treated as a standard melee weapon.
- Equipping
Xoris alongside an ability will reset their melee combo counter. - Riven Mods are not generated for Exalted Weapons.
- This is also true for Garuda Talons, as an exception to their non-exalted status.
- Although not a weapon,
Khora/
Khora Prime's
Venari/
Venari Prime functions as an active "Exalted" Companion that is separately moddable.
Sevagoth/
Sevagoth Prime's
Exalted Shadow doubles as an Exalted Weapon in
Shadow Claws and an "Exalted" Warframe in
Sevagoth's Shadow/
Sevagoth Prime's Shadow both of which are separately moddable.
Yareli's
Merulina functions as an "Exalted" K-Drive, however it cannot be modded.- Multiple instances of the same Warframe share the same Exalted Weapons (Prime Warframes are considered as different Warframes, since they have the Prime version of that particular Exalted Weapon).
- This also makes it such that the Exalted Weapons do not have to be ranked up after the first time; They show up when that Exalted Weapon ability is unlocked on that Warframe.
- When you change the modifications or appearance of the Exalted weapon on one Warframe, that change is reflected on all the others.
Patch History[]
Update 35.5 (2024-03-27)
- Fixed Disclipline’s Merit’s “Opportunities [for Tennokai] occur every 4 melee hits” not counting all the hits from an Exalted Melee Weapon and standard Melee Weapon when equipped on both.
Update 35.1 (2024-02-20)
- Fixed Exalted Weapons losing their progress after merging accounts.
- Since a Warframe can only have a singular Exalted Weapon, the Primary account would override the Secondary’s Exalted Weapon progress, regardless of its state. Now, when accounts are merged, the account with the Exalted Weapon that has more Forma and Rank/Affinity will be prioritized.
- Fixed Excalibur Umbra’s Exalted Blade not draining Energy after being disarmed while dual wielding with Glaive.
- Fixed Exalted Melee weapons (ex: Excalibur’s Exalted Blade) experiencing animation issues if they were deactivated after parrying.
- Fixed being unable to switch back to Secondary weapon after hitting the “Switch Weapon” binding while Exalted Melee weapon is active and you don’t have a Primary weapon equipped.
Hotfix 35.0.9 (2024-01-17)
- Fixed cases where Exalted Weapons could be unmodded in Duviri.
- Exalted Weapons use the Mods in the Config you select for your Warframe in Teshin’s Cave, but in the case where a Config didn’t have Mods equipped onto the Exalted Weapon, there was no fallback system to ensure you didn’t go into Duviri with it unmodded. Now, if a Warframe Mod Config is selected that doesn’t have any Mods equipped for the Exalted Weapon, the game will choose the Exalted Mod Config that uses the most Mod Capacity (as is the case with other equipment in Teshin’s Cave) to prevent players from going into Duviri with a bare bones Exalted Weapon.
Update 34.0 (2023-10-18)
- Fixed a large hitch that could occur during specific cutscenes in The Sacrifice Quest.
Update 33.0 (2023-04-26)
- Fixed many mods that previously worked on Exalted Weapons not correctly applying, for example (but not exclusively) Internal Bleeding and Hunter Munitions when installed on Ivara’s Artemis Bow, or Life Strike not working when installed on Exalted Melee Weapons. Valkyr's Hysteria not having life steal was in the same category.
Update 32.3 (2023-02-15)
- Fixed multiple issues with entering a mission with no Melee weapon equipped and then using an Exalted Melee weapon:
- Fixed being able to Parazon Mercy Kill with an invisible weapon (normally disabled when you have no melee weapon).
- Fixed Parazon Mercy Kills being disabled.
- Fixed cooperative emotes (like handshakes) being disabled.
Update 31.6 (2022-06-09)
- Fixed being able to stack the effects of certain mods (notably the Galvanized set) when equipped on Exalted weapons that are cast multiple times back to back as Client.
Hotfix 31.5.8 (2022-05-11)
- Fixed some skins for Exalted Weapons’ descriptions in Inventory stating that you do not own the weapon despite the fact that you do.
Update 29.7 (2021-02-01)
- Fixed hearing multiple equip sounds with increasing volume when equipping a Warframe with an Exalted weapon.
Update 29.5 (2020-11-19)
- Fixed de-equipping a Scanner not returning you to your active Exalted weapon if one was equipped prior.
- Fixed the Carnis, Jugulus, and Saxum Mod Sets not being equippable on Exalted Melee.
Update 28.3 (2020-08-12)
- Fixed switching back and forth between Melee weapon and Exalted Melee weapon causing the Arsenal stats to stack indefinitely.
Hotfix 28.2.1 (2020-08-01)
- Fixed inability to Melee block with your Exalted weapon until the normal weapon's combo times out.
Update 28.1 (2020-07-08)
- Xoris Interaction Changes
Certain Warframe Abilities and Exalted weapons will now reset the Melee Combo Counter only if the Xoris is being used. The overwhelming Damage output of certain Warframe Abilities was not our intention with an infinite Melee Combo weapon, and the conversation of ‘Xoris or you’re doing it wrong’ is greatly restrictive in terms of player choice.
Warframe Abilities / Exalted Warframe weapons affected by this are:
- Baruuk Serene Storm
- Excalibur Exalted Blade
- Valkyr Talons
- Wukong Iron Staff
The full breakdown can be read here.
Hotfix 27.4.2 (2020-05-04)
- Removed Stance Forma eligibility on Exalted weapons due to Stance Forma providing no benefit to these weapons.
Update 24.6 (2019-04-04)
- Amalgam Mods can no longer be equipped on Exalted weapons.
Update 24.4 (2019-03-08)
- MELEE REVISIT - PHASE 1 - "Flow"
- Let The Gun & Blade Flow
Swap between your gun and melee at the press of a button, no holstering required!
- Keybinds!
Notable Keybind changes:
- Your left mouse button is gun fire, always, instantly.
- Your right mouse button is now aim, always, instantly.
- Additional Information and Changes
- Exalted weapons will also benefit from the uninterrupted swaps! Be aware that Energy will still drain, even when swapping between weapons!
Update 23.0 (2018-06-15)
- MODDABLE ‘EXALTED’ WEAPONS!
Warframes with unique Ability-driven (Exalted) Weapons can now be separately Modded in your Arsenal! This includes the ability to customize their appearance too!
If you own any of the following Warframes, their “Exalted” Weapon have been added to your Arsenal:
- Excalibur/Prime’s Exalted Blade
- We gave the Blade a partial physical design (hilt) so that you can customize its appearance (Energy color is still determined by Excalibur’s)!
- Ivara’s Artemis Bow
- Mesa’s Regulators
- If you own or purchase the Mesa Presidio Skin, you will automatically receive the Presidio Regulators skin to equip onto Mesa’s Regulators.
- Titania’s Dex Pixia + Diwata
- Valkyr/Prime’s Talons
- No customizing since her Talons’ design is all Energy-based!
- Wukong’s Iron Staff
Exalted Weapons work in the following ways:
- They appear in your Arsenal as an unranked moddable Weapon option once you’ve unlocked the Ability.
- All Exalted weapons use the Mod classes expected for the class of weapon.
- Melee Exalted Weapons have their Stance Mod permanently displayed in the modding UI with access to Combos!
- Titania’s Dex Pixia now uses Secondary Mods! More on that in the https://forums.warframe.com/topic/966164-titanias-exalted-weapons-limbo-a-quick-workshop/ Titania Exalted Weapons Dev Workshop] we posted at the beginning of this week.
- While Exalted Weapons can be ranked, they do not count towards Mastery Rank (with the exception of Khora’s Venari).
- Riven Mods are not generated for Exalted Weapons.

Violet, Emerald and Topaz Archon Shards have Ability Damage options,
Does this ability damage affect Exalted weapons damage output? (i'm asking for titania's dex pixia)
Is exalted weapon damage counted as weapon damage or ability damage?
Neither nor, its counted as companion damage
Its counted as both
Is it fair to put sevagoth's shadow in this category too? he's an 'exalted warframe' that's exclusive to sevagoth, takes place of its corresponding slot, comes pre-installed with an orokin reactor and can be polarized.
Do ya mean the shadow ability or do ya mean da graphic shadows of shitvagoth
Sucks that Voruna's 4 isn't considered a Psuedo Exalted.... How fun that would be using a stat stick with Precision Intensify for massive damage.
I would love to have condition overload on my 4th with ulfruns, things could be so nutty
Voruna is lame anywas so
Dante About To Enter That List
Dante about to leave that list
Why is there now a riven disposition in Regulators and Dex Pixia? Are they planning on allowing rivens for exalted?
No unfortunately there not
Probably just becuz of an automated system that assigns riven disposition based on the popularity of the weapon, and they just forgot to disable it for exalted weapons.
Yes, rivens for exalted will come
It should be added that Garuda Prime's Talons no longer do damage to Arbitration Shield Drones. They slipped in that change with no patch notes according to the log here and on the Shield Drone patch log because it used to work before. It was amazing when you got the Garuda 300% strength buff with the Arbitration bonus. Now it nerfs her hard in that mode.
Checking in dante unbound, it now does damage to arbitration drones again.
Not sure how common this knowledge is, but it sure surprised me, when I built a second Titania P she had access (and by default used) the exalted weapons of my prior one, and didn't get access to new ones. <I assume this works for any frame specific equipment, if someone is yet to helminth a few things, it would be nice to check khora/sevagoth/garuda and whatnot>
My garudas claws have the same mods like this too
How do roar and eclipse interact with exalted weps? like would roar boost the base ability damage and also boost the exalted weapon's modded damage, or what
The base Ability damage is only moddable via Ability Strength, so no, neither Eclipse nor Roar will apply twice like that, only once.
@MerlintheAgeless Roar will apply twice if you're dealing with dot's on the exalted
And if ur dealing with other damage dialing abilities as well, like lala nourish, then raor will even apple quadruple ma boi
Is ''exalted weapons'' the official name for warframe specific weapons
Update 23.0 (2018-06-15)
"MODDABLE ‘EXALTED’ WEAPONS!
Warframes with unique Ability-driven (Exalted) Weapons can now be separately Modded in your Arsenal! This includes the ability to customize their appearance too!"
As official as you can make it out to be: https://forums.warframe.com/topic/967249-the-sacrifice-update-23/
No, the official name is "warframe specific weapons"
Is there a blog post or patch note that uses that term "warframe specific weapons"?
https://forums.warframe.com/topic/1319008-how-about-fixing-exalted-weapons-and-pseudo-exalted-weapons-inconsistency-like-this-way/
Since DE, especially Rebecca herself seems to forget about speaking that they will hopefully address Exalted weapons' inconsistency in 2021.
Melee exalted weapons' damage from light attacks doesn't scale with combo counter, since the combo counter rework in Update 26, regardless of how much is built. The only exception is Baruuk's Desert Wind. Building combo with the physical hits will increase damage on the waves as well.
Please update information on the melee exalted weapons' pages to reflect these changes.
After further testing, Shadow Claws also benefit from the combo counter.
They should make Harrows Thurible an exalted innate melee weapon that, on heavy attack or alt fire, makes a mist that deals constant damage to enemies and heals allies for damage taken by said enemies. Or something like that maybe.
Does anyone know if Mirage's Subsumed Eclipse affects Exalted Weapons, Just want to know if I can even further Min/Max Mesa's Insanity?
Yes, I use it on excal. its definetly good.
Only Exalted Blade/Ironbride are the existing exalted weapons. The rest that are believed as 'exalted' are called "Summoned" weapons.
Rubbish.
do weapons level slower on frames with exalteds bc the xp gets split up more?
iirc exalted weapons get the same affinity as the frame, so it does not split further.
But if you summon an archgun, then it gets split between 4 weapons.
Still waiting for exalted sniper.
IKR? That would be frickin awesome but I don't exactly see the point as regular snipers already 1 hit KO most enemies, especially grineer. Grineer are weak.
Perhaps an exalted sniper with lots of punch through, something like Zenith's target marking and infinite punch through? And/Or an explosion/seeking projectiles on headshots, for crowds. And of course, the damage would be fun to see put up against Orbs, Eidolons, sentient bosses, or stuff along the steel path.
Should be renamed into Exalted Equipment category as Khora's Venari is an Exalted Kavat
When you make a 2nd or further copy of a frame (specific to each variant like normal/prime/umbra) with exalted equipments they will retain the same exalted weapon level and customization (mods and appearance).
Such as making another Excalibur will retain the existing Exalted Blade weapon from the earlier excalibur (even if its sold before getting a new one), with the pchanged polarities if you did put a forma on them.
This is also the case for Khora's Venari.
Set bonus mods such as the Gladiator's Mini-Blood Rush set bonus actually can work on Exalted Weapons. The mod will not be considered in the set bonus when equipped to just the Exalted Weapon, but say you put some of those mods on your Warframe and a Deconstructor from Helios, the set bonus will now work.
Can exalted weapons trigger arcanes like arcane strike or arcane fury?
Yes they can trigger arcanes, and they also get bonuses from arcanes. Example is arcane velocity on Mesa. Also all exalted weapons' page has that info on their respective pages:
and so on.
