Exalted Blade is
Excalibur,
Excalibur Prime, and
Excalibur Umbra's signature Exalted Weapon, summoned by activating the ability of the same name. The weapon exclusively uses the Exalted Blade stance.
Refer to the weapon's ability page for a list of mods that affect the weapon.
Characteristics[]
- This weapon deals primarily
Slash damage.
Chromatic Blade augment changes the damage from physical to a primary elemental one based on Excalibur's Emissive Color.
- Slide attacks trigger a
Radial Blind that stuns enemies within 5 meters for 6 seconds. - Innate two
and one
polarities.
Excalibur Umbra's
Exalted Umbra Blade instead has innate two polarities.
- Combo counter resets when equipped with
Xoris.
Advantages
- Good critical chance.
- Good base status chance.
- Can reach over 100% status chance with a maxed
Chromatic Blade and at least 189% Ability Strength.
- Can reach over 100% status chance with a maxed
- Attacks release waves with unlimited punch through up to 40 meters.
Disadvantages
- Low attack speed.
- Wave damage dissipates with range.
- Wave hits do not count towards the Melee Combo Counter or proc Tennokai.
- Damage isn't affected by the combo counter, even if built with the physical blade.
- Low wave flight speed.
- Requires energy to activate and keep active.
- Slide attack blinds do not open affected enemies to Finisher Attacks.
- As an Exalted Weapon, it cannot benefit from, nor contribute to the set bonus of any Set Mods (excluding the Sacrificial Mod Set; the Gladiator Mod Set can still apply if equipped on Melee Weapons, and not on the Exalted Weapon itself).

Drifting Contact), Acolyte Mods (e.g.,
Blood Rush), or Amalgam Mods (e.g.,
Amalgam Organ Shatter). - Cannot equip Melee Arcane Enhancements.
Notes[]
- The Exalted Blade weapon appears in the Arsenal after unlocking Excalibur's
Exalted Blade ability. - While the arsenal states that Exalted Blade deals 250 damage and has an attack speed of 0.833, the actual stats are 275 damage and 0.917 attack speed due to Excalibur's Swordsmanship passive.
- Note that it's only possible to (re-)add an
polarity to a mod slot with
Umbra Forma, so it's advised not to polarize the pre-existing ones on Exalted Umbra Blade, unless
Umbra Forma can be acquired.
- This is also true and applies to all Exalted melee and
Garuda Talons.
- This is also true and applies to all Exalted melee and
- As an Exalted Weapon, this weapon comes with an
Orokin Catalyst pre-installed.
Trivia[]
- Before the introduction of moddable Exalted Weapons, the stats of Exalted Blade depended on the mods equipped on the player's melee weapon.
- Prior to Update 23.0 (2018-06-15), Exalted Blade lacked a physical hilt and was fully made out of energy. This was later changed to allow for colour customization.
- On
Excalibur Prime and
Excalibur Umbra, the sword is named
Exalted Prime Blade and
Exalted Umbra Blade respectively and they have different forms. Their stats, however, are identical to Exalted Blade.
- The energy on Exalted Prime Blade is more prominent than on the other two variants.
- The design of Exalted Blade's hilt bears a general resemblance to
Skana.
- Exalted Prime Blade has the form of a
Skana Prime, and all other prime Warframes using Radial Blind will be holding an Exalted Prime Blade as well. - Exalted Umbra Blade uses an original design reminiscent of a kopesh.
- While equipped with the Zato skin, the Exalted Blade will take the shape of an unsheathed Oku Nikana.
- Exalted Prime Blade has the form of a

I wish DE would add a legacy skin for this to revert these to the pure-energy look they once had. As well as a new one that has the model of the blade be only the emissive color channel (wholly glowing). I mean ffs, the ability description says "a blade of pure light".
Me too.
Exalted base damage
"Wave hits do not count towards the Melee Combo Counter." That's why I don't even bother with Drifting Contact. 99% of my hits are from the waves themselves. So instead I add healing return
Why would you even put Drifting Contact on any melee? What kind of weirdo doesn't run Naramon focus 24/7?
Many people run zenurik 24/7 for the energy and heavy attack buffs.
I only ever use Zenurik when I really need it, like being a carry in ESO.
For all other situations, alternative ways to get energy are always more than enough.
Naramon's combo decay is so good, it honestly should just be the standard way the system works
@Ladyvan Completely agreed. So Blood Rush and Weeping Wounds, absolute staples in melee, rely on combo counter to be effective. Locking something that keeps your stacks from being erased in a couple of seconds to one school I completely disagree with.
Anyone knows where can I get the old Exalted Blade model? The one that was before the Treebranch was introduced,
Weird bug with the appearance of the Exalted Umbra Blade, while using chromatic blade and red as your emissive colour(for heat); It shows an outline of the regular Exalted Blade with the flame effects rather than the effects being on the Exalted Umbra Blade itself.
I love this weapon.
Caution about condition overload, even if slam radius is long, CO only affect the basic weapon range, not the waves, nor the slam radius.
Nah, CO affects the waves. Its baruuks waves that are not affected. I suggest testing it again
Alright, question time : How the f**k mag is represented here, with an exalted blade ?! Is it 'cause of the Helminth and radial blind ? if so, is it normal that it's THE prime exalted ? O_O
"All other prime warframes using Radial Blind will be holding an Exalted Prime Blade as well."
haha lightsaber go brrrrrrr
I don't see it mentioned here but holster speed does increase the ready speed of blade. So Synth Reflex is my default goto for excal now.
Does combo counter increase damage?
no, but there are mods that have an increase to specific stats (such as critical chance) that scale with combo multiplier. They cannot be used on exalted weapons, but do have an effect on them if active on a normal melee's active combo multiplier.
One of the tips you can find on excalibur abilities page (in game) asserts that combo counter increase damage
But idk if it is outdated. Can someone proof it?
Why does it say this weapon has good critical chance? The critical chance is exceptionally low for a melee weapon... good critical chance would be 25-30% or higher.
Should also note that the critical multiplier is low for a melee weapon in the disadvantages.
It's a ranged weapon ;)
15% CC and 2.0 CD are low in modern Warframe no matter what type of weapon we're talking about. This has neither good critical nor good status chances and has the default critical multiplier. Its stats are badly outdated which makes no sense since the revamp happened in the same era as extremely busted exalted weapons like Regulators and Dex Pixia. Weird because you'd think DE would be more attentive to the power fantasy of their mascot.
I used to run this with surging slash for maximum damage through increasing combo count
Not as good anymore ):
Is there any point in putting Fury or other atk spd mods on this? will the energy waves come out faster or it doesnt matter? if not, i can just put spoiled strike on for massive dmg increase and compeltely tank atk spd down to 0.88
someone?
I do believe increasing attack speed helps DPS. More attack speed means more swings within a timeframe, meaning more waves at once.
I think both primed fury and berzerker feels best, I want lots of swings.
Spoiled strike doesn't really have any "massive dmg" at all
I remember those times when this shit didn't exist, now at day i can't stop finding Excaliburs fucking everywhere spamming this garbage, like thinking than they are doing a difference without noticing than they look retarded af
as much as they look retarded , someone with a good exalted build can destroy anything
i myself use a build focused on endurance , 1 energy per sec ,far from the best , but it is good enough for me , and is simply perfect for farming focus , since kills with the exalted blade count as a skill kill.
in my train of thought it is one of the most over powered things in the game i got it the point where if i use it its not fun, spaming the blade ray and they just die in like 2 secs i have one shot a juggernaut but that was very lucky on my part
As much as I love the new physical appearances of all the Exalted Blades, I wish DE would give us an 'Exalted Blade Classic Skin' or something, to revert its appearance back to the pre-U23 Exalted Blade.
does venka prime's counter bonus still apply?
It does, check the Exalted Blade ability page for what works and what doesn't
Is it just me or is Excal Prime's shorter? Or is it just the angle of the picture?
The bonus applies though, you can add both mods to exalted umbra blade, and if you remove crit.chance it will lower the damage.
I distinctly remember the Exalted Umbra blade being pure electricity damage, similar to the Lanka, when it was first released (as in all base damage done was electricity, no slash, puncture, or impact). After my initial disappointment I stored away both Excal U and Skiajati. Come back now and see it has Exalted Blade's base damage stats, no base electricity, and nothing in the patch history. Anyone care to 'splain please?
You were probably using Chromatic Blade at the time.
