xArcane Steadfast is an Arcane Enhancement for Warframes that provides a chance for the next 3 Ability casts to not cost Energy upon using an Ability.

Acquisition
Arcane Steadfast can be obtained from Mirror Defense as a Rotation C reward. Alternatively it can be purchased from Otak for 60 Belric Crystal Fragment and
Rania Crystal Fragment each, for a total of 1,260 of each for max rank.

Notes[]
- Channeled Abilities will only have their initial cast be free. Energy drain works as normal.
- Toggleable abilities, such as
Pacify & Provoke or
Spectral Scream can trigger the Arcane during initial ability activation.
- Abilities that have no initial energy cost AND cost less than 3 modded energy per second will not proc nor drain the charges of the Arcane, such as
Mach Rush,
Pulverize, or
Parasitic Link.
- Stacks with
Inner Might, allowing for an effective fourth charge when both effects are active.
- Likewise with Inner Might, Arcane Steadfast doesn't have any effect when casting Railjack abilities.
- Abilities that have had their cost negated by Arcane Steadfast will not be able to activate Arcane Steadfast again when cast. Thus, it is impossible to experience an extended chain of zero-cost ability casts refreshing the Arcane; there must be at least one non-negated ability cast in between each set of three negated abilities.
- When Arcane Steadfast is active, 3 orbs of energy will orbit the Warframe, decaying after each "charge" is used.
- As neither
Hildryn nor
Lavos use energy, this Arcane has no benefit for them.
Tips[]
- At max rank is expected to activate ~67% of the time after 5 casts and ~90% after 10 ability casts. By nature of negating the cost of abilities, the energy saved by this Arcane is amplified on builds with negative Ability Efficiency.
- Ths Arcane works best on warframes with spammable, low-cost abilities to activate the Arcane and use the charges for higher-cost abilities:
Ash's
Blade Storm will not consume charges on initial activation or marking the target, however will consume one charge on ability de-activation and will refund all energy spent marking targets as
Blade Storm marks are consumed by clones.
Atlas'
Landslide becomes more cost-efficient on successive casts and free with the
Rubble Heap augment, allowing the user to spend a low amount of energy to trigger charges and spend them on abilities such as
Petrify,
Rumblers, or subsumed Helminth abilities. For the cost of one cast of Rumblers, Landslide can be cast 12 times in a single combo chain, accruing a 93% chance of activating this Arcane.
Styanax's
Axios Javelin costs 15 energy (at base) while his
Final Stand costs 100, so activating the arcane even after "unlucky" 10 casts for his Final Stand totals in 150 energy used instead of 300.

This arcane is a pain to farm. mirror defense was a mistake, solid gamemode, but timers are all off

testing in games and simulations, this arcane does not cause the (gyre) cathode current mod to reset skill time 3 and 4. with this the cathode current mod is ineffective in bluid
rectifying my answer above, it's working, i think it's a game bug. together with cathode current, the skill lightning strikes it almost 100% of the time.
As of update 34, it seems that steadfast no longer gains or loses stacks from free abilities like landslide with rubble heap.
Does not work with Ember's Inferno. You will consume a charge when enemies are being hit, but you will still pay the full cost of the spell.
That will surely be due to ember's 4 costing energy per enemy hit. very sad. would still make sense for total cast cost to still be negated by the arcane, yet DE either forgot about this or it's a programming error.
Works with Hildryn, but not Balefire Charger shots. Kinda what I expected but I was hoping the per use energy cost might count. Ah well.
Since nobody has asked yet, does this also cause Lavos' abilities to have no cooldown? What about the cooldowns on abilities that also take energy, such as Golden Instinct or Cathode Grace?
This and Inner Might seem to have no effect on cooldowns. In Lavos' case charges would be used with no effect. Golden Instinct cost no energy, but had the cooldown as usual.
Does this works on Hildryn?
Yes
If you're relying on shieldgate via brief respite or augur set mod this arcane can make you pretty much vulnerable. Very limited usage and is a downgrade to arcane energize would not recommend this arcane to farm.

Does this work with Railjack?
Railjack does not interact with this arcane or inner might at all.
Archwing uniquely (and unfortunately) will spend stacks of this and inner might and still use energy. They can at least activate the arcane for whenever you leave archwing, though.
Works really nicely with Atlas, particularly if you use the Rubble Heap augment.
Landslide is a cheap ability that gets cheaper the more you spam it in succession. If Arcane Steadfast triggers, you can use the effect to negate the cost of abilities like Petrify and Rumblers to build up your Rubble Heap. Even once Landslide's costs are negated by Rubble Heap, you can use the free Landslides to trigger Steadfast then use Steadfast to activate Rumblers or buffs like Roar, Lycath's Hunt or Nourish.
Plus it means you can use negative Power Efficiency more liberally, which is a given with Atlas' focus on Power Strength for virtually all builds.
Please add to the page that Inner Might and this arcane effect stack to 4 no cost castings

Isn't that just wrong? I mean no it's right, you save more energy, but you also spend more energy to trigger the arcane anyway. The statistical gain is the same no matter the efficiency. So this sentence isn't wrong, but it's quite misleading
It's trying to say "You're better off using this Arcane if you have low efficiency since it will save you more energy over time," it's just saying so in a really roundabout manner.
Poor man's Arcane Energize
Probably the best arcane of the new update, but likely still worse than arcane energize. probably easier to get for newer players though.
I gotta test about this arcane further, but It might be excellent for khora+dispensary if you do not have arcane energize or you want to try new stuffs like khora+lycath's hunt+secondary encumber epitaph/kuva nukor.
I don't like khora.

A Gourmanded Feast can still proc it, for what it is worth
Looks good for frames that spam abilities and need extra energy sustain that can afford to give up an arcane slot
They should definitely do something about consistency, or like a pity like after 10 casts without activating it will just do it automatically, this can go from amazing, to pretty good, to not activating after 15-25 ability casts and then its just garbage.
Yeah. IMO the proc rate should be at least 40%, this thing just never procs.
