Manifold Bond is a Robotic Companion mod that allows the companion's abilities to inflict Status Effects from their equipped weapon. In addition, killing enemies afflicted by a certain number of status effects will reduce the cooldown of the companion's abilities.
Stats[]
Rank | Required Status Effects | Cooldown Reduction | Cost |
---|---|---|---|
0 | 6+ | -0.5s | 4 |
1 | 5+ | -1s | 5 |
2 | 5+ | -1.5s | 6 |
3 | 4+ | -2s | 7 |
4 | 4+ | -2.5s | 8 |
5 | 3+ | -3s | 9 |
Acquisition[]
The mod can be bought from Master Teasonai for 20,000 after reaching Rank 3 - Trusted with the Ostrons.
Notes[]
- When a Companion uses a Precept that affects an enemy, all Damage Types, modded or innate, are inflicted as Status Effects on the enemy at one stack.
- For example, a MOA is equipped with
Shockwave Actuators and a
Deth Machine Rifle modded for
Gas and
Cold. When it uses Shockwave Actuators, all enemies hit by the shockwave are inflicted with one stack of
Gas,
Cold,
Impact,
Puncture, and
Slash.
- Melee attacks from
Hard Engage count as using a Precept. However, only Damage Types that are modded on to the weapon are inflicted, and are not guaranteed to proc on every hit -- the hidden Status Chance of Hard Engage is likely used.
- Status effects that proc from the Area of Effect damage component will not be counted.
- Elements generated via
Momentous Bond will also apply to Companion Precepts.
- For example, a MOA is equipped with
- Applied status effects that can deal damage are not affected by mods or the base damage of the companion weapon. They will deal 1 damage per damage tick.
- Status effect duration is not increased by the companion's equipped status duration mods.
- Works with every hit of Eximus auras copied by
Null Audit.
- The cooldown reduction of companion abilities does not include:
Bugs[]
- Impact status effect may not be inflicted even if it is present on the Companion's weapon.
Patch History[]
Hotfix 36.0.3 (2024-06-20)
- Fixed Manifold Bond triggering from Status damage instead of from killing enemies as intended.
Hotfix 35.5.2 (2024-03-28)
- Fixed a script error occurring from a combination of the Manifold Bond and Electro Pulse Mods.
Hotfix 34.0.7 (2023-11-02)
- The following Companion Precept Mods now benefit from Manifold Bond:
- Diriga’s Electro Pulse
- Djinn’s Fatal Attraction
- The ability cooldown effect from Manifold Bond already applied to Fatal Attraction, but not its Status Effect application to Companion weapons, so now it properly and wholly benefits from the Mod.
Hotfix 34.0.2 (2023-10-19)
- Fixed case where Hounds would not attack or move if they had any of the new Bond Mods equipped.
- Fixed getting some small one-time Affinity popups when first loading into a mission with certain Bond Mods equipped.
Hotfix 34.0.1 (2023-10-18)
- Fixed several script errors with the new Bond Mods while Null Audit is also equipped.
Update 34.0 (2023-10-18)
- Introduced.

Not tradable
So it's a good primer mod for your companions, but DoTs are useless because they deal 1 damage per tick?
Well the point is to be able to abuse certain sentinel mods like Cordon on Naut/Naut prime and Arc Coil on Diriga.
Activates on volt's shocking speed augment .... mm spageti code
Kinda sucks that this is robotic exclusive, this couldve made Kubrows useful because majority of the Kubrow exclusive mods have ridiculously long cooldown, this mod couldve helped a lot.
Most likely they decided to make it robot-only exclusively to prevent Smeetas from having access. We may be closing in on a point where they should just nerf them, because it's starting to hold other companions back.
Augment for Harold
It cant be traded?
Status EVERYWHERE
For someone thinking of using this for MOA;
Both Blast Shield and Shockwave Actuator works well as intended, proc on anyone got hit with its shockwaves.
Anti-Grav Grenade will proc when enemy is hitting on the ground after grenade wears off.
Whiplash Mine cannot proc anything by this mod(only its guaranteed Impact and Knockdown procs, even though it has very low impact damage anyways.)
Hard Engage seems it function as a melee weapon rather than an ability, so it does not proc by this mod.
If you want a MOA than a Hound and also wants to have Manifold Bond too, I suggest make it use both shockwaves.
If you just want a robotic primer, Hound it is.
Thank you, i was wondering if Whiplash Mine would proc anything. could've guessed, though, since Nautilus' Cordon ability doesnt proc either
Synergized Prospectus plus Manifold Bond is actually nuts.
--use a Panzer vulp with Viral Quills, as the spores count as a melee attack for the armor strip and you also get enemies primed with Viral.
Except it does not... Wish it was, though.
At least not for Vicious Bond purpose. And, as cherry on top, Vulpaphyla actual melee attack is completely broken rn. They literally won't ever attack, only use skill.
Odd. I remember the spores were able to strip armor. Oh well.
I also will stay corrected... It seems like she does attack. But only if either i or her get attacked.
Just tried it out without disabling enemy AI but invulnerability instead.
It's unfortunate that heat inherit does not work the other way around. Meaning, if your hound has bane/heat mods and procs an enemy, your heat weapon will actually deal less damage since it does not carry over. It does not carry over elemental bonuses, just the proc.
Is the status applied by manifold bond dependant on the status chance of your weapon or is it always 100% ? Does it take into account the secondary hits of the weapon as well, such has heat explosion for helstrum or magnetic aoe of vulcax ?
For Companion abilities that inflict damage (Cordon on Nautilus cannot benefit from this mod at this time, but something like Synergized Prospectus is monstrous with this mod), it takes all physical and elemental damage types on the Companion's weapon loadout and force procs them all on every enemy hit by the ability. Haven't test the secondary hits yet.
Does the cooldown reduction work with mecha set bonus?
Unfortunately, Manifold Bond can only be equipped on Robotics (MOA, Hound, Sentinel) and the mecha set bonus only works with a Kubrow
Manifold Bond does proc Archon Stretch if you have an Electric Damage mod on your weapon.
Does this work with Cordon? I've heard yes and no.
Yes, it most definitely works with Cordon, and very well too.
Yes and no. Killing an enemy with 3+ statuses will reduce cordon's cooldown. However, cordon will not spread status, as it does not deal damage
This work with spare parts if anyone is wondering
I'm unable to trade my last copy of Manifold Bond away: "Manifold Bond cannot be traded. Unique copies of abilities cannot be traded."
I'm able to trade duplicate copies of Manifold Bond, and this doesn't happen with any of the other Bond mods I've tried. (I've got about half of them)
I get the same error when trying to trade my last copy of Reawaken or Botanist, but it's weird to have this on a non-Penjaga mod.
Would be funny if it worked with Helios' Investigator. Take pictures of enemies, to give them cancer (read: viral procs).
LoL, so cool if it can but it can do only once til the codex completed XD
Unless you use the https://warframe.fandom.com/wiki/Detect_Vulnerability
Completely forget about this one -_-, you still use it?
If you use this to force electric procs on Arc Coil, the electricity won't chain to enemies within 3 metres.
So apparently this thing works with spare parts, combined with nautilus cordor ability you basically get a pocket khora, and before someone says smeeta kavat, at the moment of me putting this we do not know how charm rework looks like, so im just saying an alternative.
NEVER use this to apply heat status if you do damage with heat. Heat inheritance makes all stacks of heat use the first stack's damage multiplier, like heat damage mods or faction mods. Tested it in the Simaris room and if my Diriga applies heat first, all consequent heat stacks from my Phantasma deals NO damage. (I thought it'd deal at least 1 damage, but no, absolutely NO damage)
Does the cooldown reduction apply to carriers looter mod?
