Notes[]
- Stacks with
Gladiator Vice and 2-stack
Berserker Fury for a maximum of of 2.4x attack speed. - This mod is a straight upgrade from the non-primed version of
Fury, adding 10% more attack speed and 20% combo count chance for the same cost.
Trivia[]
- Unlike most mods, the picture shows an
Excalibur wearing the Pendragon helmet, his Immortal Skin, as well as a different color scheme. This is a rare instance of a mod depicting a non-default character loadout. The other examples are
Life Strike, Second Wind,
True Punishment,
Enduring Strike, Warrior's Grip,
Killing Blow and
Corrupt Charge, all of which used to be channeling mods. Coincidentally, all of said mods depict Excalibur wielding a Nikana. The only difference in each appearance (besides positioning) is the energy color used. - As of Update 15.5 (2014-11-27), there are four new mods that also depict non-default characters. These mods are
Bore,
Piercing Caliber,
Breach Loader, and
Auger Strike, all of which depict a Nyx Warframe with her Immortal Skin and Menticide helmet. - Prior to Update 26.0 (2019-10-31), this mod provided bonus attack speed upon Channeling while reducing Channeling Efficiency.

Got lucky and got it first try on Venus/Malva :P
Multiplicative or additive with Naramon Opening Slam?
Can you stack this with berserker Fury? Kinda dont want to try that myself
Yes
Works really good with heavy attack builds. Tickle a random grub for a few seconds then get a 6x combo and use the heavy attack
Quickening: 40% Attack Speed, 20% Combo Count Chance, "V" Polarity, 9 Capacity Cost.
Fury: 30% Attack Speed, "V" Polarity, 9 Capacity Cost.
Hmm...
@Kiddovan ever heard about stat sticks u fucking noob?
What kind of stat stick situation cares about 20% combo count chance lmfao
Pathetic attempt
Hey Ladyvan, i do care and am using this with fury in almost all my melee builds, is incredibly useful for guandao and nikana prime, since more speed and count chance equals more damage
You dont care, is fine, no one is perfect
We must be playing in incredibly different ways, as not once In my entire time playing have I ever thought "man, I wish I'd reach max combo a few percent faster" with how fast you can do it already and with how easy it is to maintain it.
Its a good mod for the attack speed, but the 20% combo chance is perhaps one of the most irrelevant stats they have ever put on a mod.
It doesn't even double the combo you gain from a hit when it procs, it just adds +1 combo. So depending on weapon, it could merely give you a small chance to go from generating 4 combo on hit to 5.
That portion of the mod could literally be broken and not function, and no one would realize, thats how unbelievably worthless it is.
For the price of going from 40% to 30% attack speed, Gladiator Vice's set effect is way more valuable, especially if it is your secondary attack speed source and that 10% loss doesnt mean much.
Does this stacck additively or multiplicatively with other attack speed mods. It seems berserker no longer stacks multiplicatively,
Now probably the only viable attack speed increase for fragor and gram if you don't have primed fury because those dumfuks at DE thought nerfing melees because guns are underperforming is the correct way
"just log in for 200/400/600 days lmao"
Some people are really far away from those login rewards, easy for you to say if you already have it lol
Pretty sure it was meant ironically
Imagine thinking ' "just log in for 200/400/600 days lmao" ' was said entirely in earnest, as though the quotation marks around it, and "lmao" weren't enough to demonstrate he was sarcastically quoting the sarcastic remark regarding the login reward milestones.
Inb4 this becomes new meta because DE thought changing Berserker to "on kill" was a good idea when slow heavy melee exist
Does that works with Ash's Blade Storm?
As far as I can it does, also text is misleading. Its not 20% chance for an extra combo point its 20% chance for an extra combo point *per combopoint* on hit. Meaning that if a hit generates 12 combo(slam attack center) each 12 points has a 20% chance to be 2 points, sometimes ending up in a single slamatack ending you on 4x from cold start with Quickening on
After briefly testing with and without quickening, I want to mention something that isn't mentioned anywhere here. The 20% chance isn't a 20% chance to add 1 to your combo, it's a 20% to add 1-5 to your combo. Without Quickening equipped I always get 1 combo per hit, but with quickening I see increases of as high as 6 points per hit. Without this equipped I will usually get to X4 after killing a large group of enemies. With quickening equipped it goes to X12 after 3 or 4 swings.
I will try it with a heavy attack efficiency build. Maybe it can replace corrupted charge if you pair that with packing. Maybe it can replace combo duration fixes in long endurance runs as well.
Tyvm for the input.
+1
My guess is every time your combo increases, it asks this mod to roll for a combo increase. As in, you hit one enemy and:
Quickening-sama: ”I see you just hit an enemy to increase your combo, I’ll roll for a bonus combo hit.”
Gets bonus combo hit, increasing your combo
Quickening-sama: ”I see you just gained a combo. I’ll roll for a bonus combo hit”
Gets bonus combo hit, increasing your combo
Quickening-sama: ”I see you just gained a combo…”
Does this work with Exalted blade beams?
Not with the wave hits. At first I got excited thinking it worked, but it turns out the Exalted Blade's melee hits just had an obsurd range with Primed Reach equipped.
Its actually useful now WOW
what is the difference between combo count chance and efficiency?
Quickening gives a 20% chance for each hit to add an additional point to the combo counter.
For a mod like
Focus Energy, after a heavy attack only 60% of your combo counter will be consumed rather than 100% of it. Melee combo efficiency is not a very good name for since it deals specifically with heavy attacks.
Combo efficency is how much combo you have left after performing a heavy attack. Combo chance is extra combo on hit.

Thats not how bonus combo% works
Please provide a more accurate explanation?
Be careful what you call shit in your inventory!
At least they made this mod at least useable in some capacity, though primed fury is still usually better at least it isn't clearcut what's better between this and gladiator vice since this ramps up combo counter far more quickly.
It's a bit weird that this just dumbsters Fury for the same mod capacity
I guess Fury is now the beginner's atk speed mod.
Sometimes that +15% attackspeed isn't going to be better than increased chance to gain a combo point. (As builds which multihit in a large AoE will actually stack combo faster with Quickening over Primed Fury which may suit weapons which "blends" targets)
I'll say Primed Fury vs Quickening are optional sidegrades to pick, but both being better than the regular Fury.
Pretty sure this also affects mods like guardian derision and anything that adds combo at all, not just via attacking. So that's pretty cool.
don't tell DE that quickening have lower capacity cost compare to primed pressure point at 40% atk speed
You mean
Primed Fury.
Latest hotfix means it IS a better fury!
How does this work right now exactly? No channges to stats in the menu. (didn't test it outside)
Straight up better fury now. Pretty awesome
Scratch that, seems like its tied to your combo counter, they need to word that better
it still is a better fury
10% more speed than Fury, and a 20% chance for hits to add 2 to your combo. Overall pretty damn nice.
