Tenet Envoy is a unique Tenet rocket launcher shooting missiles that can be guided while aiming, and is able to reload while holstered.
Characteristics[]
- This weapon deals innate
Impact damage from grenade impact and
Cold damage on explosion.
- Rocket explode in a 8 meter radius after impacting a surface or enemy.
- Initial hit and explosion apply status separately.
- Explosion does not need direct line of sight to deal damage and will penetrate walls.
- Can benefit from
Firestorm (
Primed) and
Cautious Shot.
- Aiming will cause fired rockets to travel toward the aiming reticle, allowing them to be guided.
- Allows firing rockets from behind cover.
- Reloads 10% of its magazine per second while holstered.
- Fairly large magazine capacity of 8 rounds for an explosive-based weapon.
- Comes with an additional bonus
Impact,
Heat,
Cold,
Electricity,
Toxin,
Magnetic, or
Radiation damage, based on the Sister's progenitor Warframe, which increases the listed base damage of the weapon by 25%-60%.
- Valence Fusion can optionally change the resulting output damage type, and can upgrade the bonus increase (up to 60%).
- Polarizing the weapon increases its max rank by 2, capping at rank 40 after 5 polarizations, granting the weapon additional mod capacity.
- Listed Mastery Rank requirement is not enforced - the weapon may theoretically be obtained at any mastery rank by acquiring and vanquishing a Sister that has this weapon equipped.
Advantages over other Primary weapons (excluding modular weapons):
- Pinpoint accuracy.
Heavy Caliber's accuracy penalty is minimal on this weapon, especially due to its ability to be guided manually.
- Grenade Impact (wiki attack index 1)
- High crit chance (28.00%)
- High crit multiplier (2.60x)
- Rocket Explosion (wiki attack index 2)
- Above average crit chance (28.00%)
- High total damage (640)
- Above average crit multiplier (2.60x)
Disadvantages over other Primary weapons (excluding modular weapons):
- Projectiles have travel time.
- Projectile Speed decreases while aiming (unaffected by
Terminal Velocity).
- Poor ammo economy.
- Extremely low ammo capacity; requires just 2 reloads to fully deplete all ammo reserves.
- Low Ammo Pickup.
- Explosion inflicts self-stagger.
- Explosion has a headshot multiplier of 1x and cannot trigger headshot conditions.
- Explosion has linear Damage Falloff from 100% to 20% from central impact.
- Grenade Impact (wiki attack index 1)
- Very low reload speed (4.00 s)
- Low magazine (8)
- Very low ammo max (16)
- Very low fire rate (0.83 attacks/sec)
- Very low disposition (●○○○○ (0.65x))
- Rocket Explosion (wiki attack index 2)
- Low active falloff slope (10.0m/%)
- Low maximum falloff distance (8.0 m)
- Very low reload speed (4.00 s)
- Low magazine (8)
- Very low fire rate (0.83 attacks/sec)
- Very low ammo max (16)
- Below average status chance (24.00%)
- Very low disposition (●○○○○ (0.65x))
See WARFRAME Wiki:Stat Comparison/Percentiles for more details.
Acquisition[]
Tenet Envoy is obtained by vanquishing a Sister who generated with one equipped. After the Sister is vanquished it will be in the player's Foundry ready to claim.
While the weapon itself is not tradeable, a converted Sister generated with the weapon can be traded to another player. The trade is performed inside a Clan Dojo's Crimson Branch room, and the recipient must not have any active Lich or Sister. Once traded, the recipient must fight and vanquish the Sister to claim their weapon.
Notes[]
- The Tenet Envoy is currently the only launcher with an automatic trigger, allowing a player to simply hold the trigger to launch consecutive rockets. This can prove somewhat disadvantageous while trying to redirect the rockets by aiming against enemies at relatively short ranges due to the recoil of launching a new rocket causing the aim to be disrupted.
- While aiming, the rockets will make an audible beeping noise. When aiming at a target, the beeping intensifies and the rocket flashes brightly.
- Rockets have a lifespan of 6 seconds regardless if they are being aimed or not, automatically detonating once that time has elapsed.
- While holstered, the attaché case's components will rumble and make an audible sound for each unit of ammo reloaded.
- Passive reload stacks with the Synth Mod Set (
Synth Deconstruct,
Synth Fiber,
Synth Reflex and
Synth Charge).
- Passive reload stacks with the Synth Mod Set (
- Projectile speed seems to be 20 m/s while aiming and manually guiding the projectiles, and 40 m/s for unguided projectiles.
Terminal Velocity will only affect unguided projectiles, for a final speed of 64 m/s.
- When using
Heavy Caliber and multishot mods such as
Split Chamber, additional rockets fired will fly parallel to the main rocket and not converge at the point of impact.
- Cannot be reloaded while a missile is being manually guided.
- Both the initial shot and explosion seem to be silent despite having an "Alarming" noise level; a one-shot kill on a group of enemies will award the stealth kill affinity bonus, and nearby enemies will not be alerted as long as they did not witness this. However, firing the weapon will still break
Ivara's
Prowl unless the
Hush mod is equipped.
Kuva/Tenet Notes[]
- For weapons obtained from vanquishing the Kuva Lich or Sister:
- The player does not have to meet the Mastery Rank displayed to obtain this weapon. It can simply be claimed from the foundry after the Lich/Sister carrying it has been vanquished.
- The weapon will have a prefix of the name of the Lich/Sister it was acquired from (e.g. a Kuva Kohm might be called "Odizrigg Agekk Kuva Kohm").
- Refraining from Mercy killing an Adversary candidate will remove their weapon from the pool of potential Adversary weapons until each has been refused, but only if the mission is completed. Weapons rejected from aborted missions will remain in the current cycle.
- For weapons obtained from Ergo Glast's shop:
- The player must meet the Mastery Rank displayed to obtain this weapon, as it is claimed from an NPC shop rather than the foundry.
- The weapon's max rank caps at 40 after 5 polarizations (max rank increases by 2 per Forma added).
- Additional polarizations can be added when the weapon reaches its new max rank at that polarization level.
- Each additional rank also gives 100 Mastery Rank experience, giving 4,000 points in total at level 40.
- Mod capacity scales with the additional ranks, and can reach a total of 80 at rank 40 with an Orokin Catalyst installed.
- Without an Orokin Catalyst, the max is 40. Combined with the five polarized mod slots required to reach that point, an Orokin Catalyst might not be required for some beginner-friendly builds as they typically use less mod capacity.
- After polarizing a weapon, any additional mod capacity above 30 (60 with an Orokin Catalyst) will not take effect until the weapon's rank reaches 31 and above.
- Legendary Mastery Rank increases the minimum mod capacity for such weapons, without the weapon needing to be rank 31 and above. For example, Legendary 1 increases the minimum capacity to 31 (62 with an Orokin Catalyst).
- Comes with an additional damage stat.
- For Lich/Sister-obtained weapons this is dependent on the Warframe that summoned the Lich/Sister.
- For Ergo Glast shop a random bonus stat will be offered for each weapon and changed every 4 days (96 hours).
- This damage stat randomly ranges between 25%-60%. It can be upgraded up to its maximum value with Valence Fusion using another copy of the weapon.
- This bonus stat is considered a base damage type and will be applied after all elemental mods for the purposes of elemental combinations.
*Note that the Primed or Umbra version of a Warframe share the same element
Tips[]
- A maximum rank
Primary Merciless synergizes well with this weapon, reducing the reload to 3.1 seconds, on top of the increased damage.
- The Tenet Envoy is a good weapon to equip on on-call Railjack crew members as their AI focuses on aiming the weapon, effectively redirecting all rockets on incoming enemies.
- This can also mean mods requiring aiming to trigger, such as
Argon Scope and
Bladed Rounds, may be in effect as crews use them (needs verification).
- This can also mean mods requiring aiming to trigger, such as
- One good way of maximizing a rocket's homing ability is to let it fly unassisted so it moves fast, and then aim once it comes close at the intended target or area and strike at a precise location. This is especially useful at hitting dropships in Landscapes such as the Grineer Tusk Firbolgs and Bolkors in the Plains of Eidolon, the Corpus Condor and Buzzard Dropships at the Orb Vallis, or the Infested Deimos Genetrix carriers in the Cambion Drift.
- Because the Tenet Envoy sports a fairly larger magazine capacity compared to some of its other explosive counterparts (such as the
Kuva Bramma and
Kuva Tonkor) it is practically more efficient with ammo pickups, as the other weapons would immediately consume nearby pickups after merely using a shot.
- In this regard, it shares this ammo pickup efficiency property with the
Kuva Ogris and the
Kuva Zarr.

Trivia[]
- The explosions resulting from the rockets fired by the Tenet Envoy briefly show Corpus lettering and iconography, which translate to: "Analysing Projected Revenue Forecast", "Integrating Offset Sector Income Differential", "Power In Prosperity, Prosperity In Victory", and "Full System Analysis in Progress".
- While sheathed and while reloading, the weapon folds up into an attaché case.
- When aiming, the Warframe will put the weapon up close to their helmet and a laser sight will appear from the front, implying the guidance system is optical-based.
- The Tenet Envoy’s name may be in refrence to a Envoy, which is a representative of a government, which would also play into the briefcase shape that the Envoy folds into.
Known Bugs[]
- When trying to direct by aiming, rockets prematurely detonate upon contact with
Gara's
Mass Vitrify wall or
Frost's
Snow Globe, possibly due to the laser sight erroneously treating the wall as a physical barrier. To try to bypass, a player must allow the rockets to pass through first before starting to redirect by aiming.
- This bug is also observable on rockets fired by on-call Railjack crews or a converted Sister of Parvos.
Galvanized Aptitude is multiplicative to base damage sources on direct hits.

Patch History[]
Update 32.0 (2022-09-07)
- Ammo Changes
We understand the power fantasy of these weapons is very popular for some, so our first approach was to keep them powerful, but limit how often they can be used by making changes to ammo pick-up.
Ammo Pickup Overrides
The following weapons now have ammo pickup overrides, meaning they gain less from picking up ammo. This mostly applies to AoE weapons, in hopes that players will become more deliberate with their aim to make the most of their Ammo pools. The following lists the specific ammo pick up overrides per weapon category.
Primary Weapon Ammo Pick Up Overrides
4 Ammo per Pick Up:
- Tenet Envoy
Many weapons have also had their maximum ammo capacity adjusted.
Primary Weapons:
- Tenet Envoy: From 24 to 16
- Headshot Damage Changes
During playtesting, the ammo changes alone weren’t enough to significantly change things for AoE weapons. So instead of tightening these values to be overly restrictive, we chose to address other factors that make these weapons so strong, such as headshot damage.
Our approach here is two-fold, to reduce the impact of headshots for AOE weapons, but to also make precision headshots pack a larger punch overall.
- Radial damage no longer gains extra headshot damage or triggers headshot conditions.
- This is primarily targeted at the Ignis Wraith - as a “flamethrower” weapon, it’s hard to imagine a blanket of elements being precise enough to target weak points specifically. Explosive projectiles themselves can still land headshots, so there is still a reason to aim with most weapons for maximum damage.
Update 30.7 (2021-09-08)
- Fixed the Tenet Envoy's guided rockets being unable to pass through Volt's Shield and Gara's Vitrify.
Hotfix 30.5.5 (2021-07-29)
- Fixed Tenet Envoy missiles striking a Null bubble becoming stuck and orphaned in the air.
Hotfix 30.5.4 (2021-07-17)
- Fixed friendly AI not being able to use the Tenet Envoy.
Hotfix 30.5.3 (2021-07-09)
- Fixed cases where the Tenet Envoy rockets could remain in the air indefinitely.
Hotfix 30.5.2 (2021-07-07)
- Fixed a crash that could occur when firing the Tenet Envoy and dying at the same time.
Update 30.5 (2021-07-06)
- Introduced.

Again, great on Zephyr. Become close air support with Vile Acceleration. Easily takes down SP Eximus, too.
For extra fun, use Zephyr with the Jet Stream augment and high strength. You can have 300% projectile speed, paired with multishot and Heavy Caliber; the latter makes the multiple rockets spread out, which means even more radius for the AoE explosion.
^I combine it with arcane acceleration as well. I feel like an American with this setup.
Who got this and akarius prime? can anyone tell me how this weapon is better than akarius prime?
How it's better?
I don't have Akarius Prime, but I don't think they're similar enough to directly compare them that way. The fact that one is a primary and one is a secondary means they're not competing against one another for a slot, for starters.
But putting that aside:
The Envoy has much better critical stats and access to things like Hunter Munitions + the Vigilante Set.
As a Tenet weapon, it has a progenitor bonus increasing it's base damage and providing more flexibility in element combinations.
Potentially 20 more mod capacity to work with if ranked to 40.
Now some comparisons that aren't specifically favoring the Envoy:
The Envoy is far more precise, but requires more effort to aim. You can do some pretty absurd things by manipulating the rocket trajectories to do things like blindfire behind you without turning around, curving them around obstacles to hit enemies in full cover, but you also can't just fire and forget like you can with the Akarius. But the Akarius won't be able to arc a rocket over a group of enemies and redirect it downwards to hit all of them at once, since it will home towards whoever's in front.
They both have unique reloading benefits that suit different playstyles. The Envoy has automatic reloading when holstered, which favors using it more situationally, while the Akarius reload more quickly while sprinting, which favors using them more frequently. This also affects their ammo economy.
You could always just equip them both at once, though. If you wanted to.
This one easily has 8/16 magazine and ammo sizes and 4 ammo pickup yet Kuva Ogris only got 3/7 and 1 ammo pickup despite being weaker? Is this game joking right now?
It's great with Zephyr.
Only a great mind could've thought of explosion doing cold damage. Next, imagine a pull ability pushing targets away, or a 'crushing hit' healing the target players.
But hey, it's only a game teaching you on 'reverse thinking'.
Because the sci-fi fantasy game set thousands of years into the future where flesh puppets fight capitalism and rotting inbreds is known for its extreme realism
Explosions aren't inherently "hot". They refer to matter that undergoes a rapid increase in volume- the inverse of an implosion, when matter collapses inwards. Chemical reactions can produce a lot of heat and gas, which are the conventional "hot" explosions you're thinking of- the gas is superheated and rapidly and forcefully expands outwards. That's just one type of explosion.
The same concept applies when you have matter that wants to expand, but can't because it's sealed inside something, creating internal pressure that is abruptly released when the seal is broken. A balloon popping, for example, is an explosion.
Or, let's say you are accidentally locked in a freezer when a water pipe bursts. (also a type of explosion!) This results in the door being frozen shut. So you crush some dry ice with a chicken thigh, put it in a bottle, and then quickly add some of the warmer water from the burst pipe and seal the bottle, hurling it at the door as you duck into cover. The dry ice sublimates and wants to rapidly expand, but can't until the pressure inside the bottle exceeds the ability of the bottle to contain it, and thus it bursts forcefully, shattering the ice and allowing you to escape the freezer. That would be a "cold" explosion.
I suspect, however, that the Envoy does not use sublimating dry ice to detonate its rockets.
Dry ice bomb is a cold explosion
4/17/2024 can u be my professor at uni 😭
Just in case someone was as stupid as me - you dont have to use the Progenitor after youv'e created the Sister (the first mission). I thought that I had to for Sisters and Lichs, and had a rough ride! Just use the one you need for the variant you want, then for the hunt, use any frame you want.
When using Mirage with Hall of Mirrors active, it seems clones do not proc Primary Merciless and possibly other arcanes. Only seen it happen while using this specific weapon.
This weapon has slightly more Crit than Status. I tried to mod it for damage with the usual +damage and elemental mods and it sucks, hard. It can't even kill level 120 Bombard Eximus before reloading.
Then I found a build that focuses on Crit and Hunter Munitions. Now it actually feels like I can take it to SP without embarrassing myself. I can actually kill stuff.
Toxin dmg vs eximus....
I am sure you could easily build this for status and melt steel path enemies, not that it would be optimal. That's another topic. I guess you don't have access to primed mods, but you'll have better results with adding a cold mod over ammo max and moving the ammo mutation to exilus so you have viral. Then you should be killing the enemies faster, which is better than having more ammo.
Oh I'm dumb, he's doing viral, but it would still hit harder with faction and primed cryo obv, minimal gain with ammo max. Even regular faction is good.
Mmmm, nisce damage bonus you have to change for every (5) faction
Is an internal bleeding build viable with an impact progenitor or is it better to just stick with hunter mu?
Probably not unless the impact proc was guaranteed. It will be hard to increase your status and have impact high enough % to compete with HM and the procs from HM should be stronger since they're crits, but I'm not sure.
Not sure if I'll get a proper answer but how does one pick up life support while afking in endurance with this gun? I'm only curious, not an afk macroer and to anyone who would shush me I say good riddance if DE sees this.
By moving.
You hire a dedicated team of professionals to play warframe for you and decorate. I have a team of 5-7 right now that helps me gather resources and other things like this, but they aren't able to do the more difficult missions in Warframe like Kahl.
Play a warframe that got a vacuum ability and build max range or smth
Have you considered not afk-ing?
Low damage, low accuracy, slow projectile speed, slow reload speed, etc... This thing has nothing going for it, it's on the same tier as super old weapons like the regular penta and regular ogris. Really should get a buff.
1 You can get viral with bonus toxin, no mods needed = more dmg for slash dot
2 Fantastic ammo economy, when you dont laser rockets are faster
3 High aoe with max 80% drop off and not 90%
4 Excellent stats, but lacks a little crit chance which is fixed with the +crit -fire rate and riven (you dont feel the -fire rate that much)
5 reloads when unequipped to bypass long reload
One of my favorite aoe after aoe ammo nerf and has more mod options because you dont need viral mods and no primer needed
This weapon is maybe the most elegant and complex of all aoe weapons. It's not braindead Kuva Bramma wich you don't need to reload but at the cost of shitty ammo economy.
Most apes will see that long reload time and slow projectile speed and think the weapon is bad, but they are wrong... they are filthy monkeys.
No, you can redirect your shot with a single click without having to maintain the manual aiming, and that requires practice.
You can reload many or all your rounds with a single click (melee) while bullet jump to relocate yourself or when you wait for enemies. Or use your melee killing while the weapon recharges itself.
I'm pretty sure OP was being sarcastic.
1. OP should have known better if they *where* sarcastic (except this is fandom, where intelligence is left at the door, so they probably were not)
2. The 27/02 user is frieza.
You might be tempted to use a toxin version so you can get free viral without modding, but due to how the damage calculation works, putting at least 1 elemental mod will boost damage by a lot, because it is a separate value. I recommend Primed Cryo Rounds
My favorite stealth weapon, lol
One Hush is all you need 👍
Allows you to turn off your brain with primed firestorm + primed sure footed. DE look the other way
They in fact did not look away
This last comment. HAHAHA.
Isnt that the kind of stuff they dont want?
Op comment did not age well post-aoe and firestorm nerf.
So, if the aimed projectile speed is not improved by Terminal Velocity, does that mean its also not slowed down by projectile speed negative stats provided by riven mods?
I wonder why every T. Envoy user I've met uses eye-popping/hella bright energy colors
Don't worry, OP still doesn't know for the fact that these are unavoidable issues on using a platform internationally, and everybody dgaf about someone's liking. When freedom of speech exists, so the f*ck is the way internet is used, or how everyone colors themselves to be specific lmao. So if you don't have the guts to deal with it, stop playing the game or stop using the internet itself.
I can't read op's comment, all i hear is crybaby noises, you're right.
I'm sorry but bringing up freedom of speech while talking about obnoxiously bright particle effects in a videogame makes you look like an idiot. I know that comment is a year old, but its blindingly stupid I still feel the need to mention it.
Acting like freedom of speech is freedom from consequences lmao. Proves the first 09/11/22 user is not a clever individual
Is it normal, that this (or any Weapon) automaticaly reloads on a mercy kill?
Definetly my new favorite Weapon. POG
There is a Parazon mod that automatically reloads all weapons on mercy kill.
Also Tenet weapons reload while holstered.
It’s called Blood for Ammo.
Ah i guess i had that installed :)
Thank you.
We neds more weapons like these
>Passive reload stacks with Tactical Reload
Except it can't use tactical reload.
Ooooh shoot... It's my first Sisters' weapon...
i don’t even play warframe anymore lol
Fisher = Troll
Fisher thinks he's flexing when he's admitting to being a cringelord type troll lmao
Anon above why is the first thing you think is to insult people.
-Proceed to grab more popcorn in case fisher and theyka continue this-
