Lua Lenses convert 5.5% of excess Affinity into Focus points, ~29% more than the Eidolon Focus Lens, ~83% more than the Greater Focus Lens, and 175% more than the regular Focus Lens. Their blueprint can be acquired as a Rotation C Lua Disruption reward or traded between players. Lua Lenses require an Eidolon Focus Lens from any of the 5 Tenno Schools to craft.

Unless you're having a lot of fun farming for these lenses where they drop, you end up getting these lenses as an accidental drop (farming axi relics) or you just feel like minmaxing your favourite frame in everything just because you can, I don't see the time investment as worth it if you just want focus. With the relics you'll be farming on Lua Distruption you might as well crack those, sell the parts to buy an affinity booster and gain focus with Eidolon lenses.
Pretty useless, really. Considering that even with basic lenses it doesn't take long to max out focus schools, any effort in obtaining these is an unnecessary effort.
Or you can just use Eidolon shards.
Or you can use all sources and empowers to get more focus rapidly
Or you can use lua lenses. Just got 150k standing in 20 minutes an Akkad with just 1 lua lens and an affinity booster. Did a run to 20 and a run to 15.
Okay, maybe a little more than 20 minutes, but clearly easier standing
Just got one for each focus branch in mail after update
It should drop in more places so much is hard to get not bc its hard its bc low drops from 1 specific place
Just got 3 of them in one Arbitration run, not sooo rare
For the person above me, just because you got lucky, doesn't mean it will be for everyone else.
I enjoy doing lua disruption (steel path too just for some fun) but requiring eidolon lens to craft lua lens seems dumb. I have 20 something lua lens bps with 0 crafted because I have no eidolon lens :(
Just let me earn some plat!!
Lua Lens are now 24hr only, all mine disappeared from inventory..
Probably a bug. this is bugframe after all
Okay, Why does it list this lens as -44% then the Eidolon Focus? I know I'm not the best at math but even that has to be wrong, given the comparison with the Regular Focus is 180%, while the Eidolon is only 80% more effective.
I think they may have just confused the ~ (tilde) for a - (minus), and thought the page was saying the Lua lens is 44% less effective as the Eidolon.
Oh, I mistook the minus sign as a tilde lmao.
Yes, I mistook the ~ (tilde) for a minus. I understood the math, but I was looking at the page thinking 'why is this minus and not just the raw number?'. That was my core issue, me being unable to tell the difference while reading.
Tilde is notoriously easy to mistake for a minus sign in *so many damn fonts*. Which isn't really the fonts' fault, in most cases.
I wish I had known about these a long time ago. But, looking at the information about it I'm not so sure about investing the time it looks like I need to invest into getting one of these, let alone more than one, and invest my time in other pursuits within the game.
It's one of those very rare instances in which I'm considering throwing a few plat at someone looking to sell some rather than go through the headache of farming it.
Not a fan of going the pay-to-win route, but in this case...
Drop tables for Apollo are all wrong. We're getting Axi's on the first and second round, not Neo's.
"Disruption does not follow the traditional 'AABC' rotation for endless missions. The reward tier is determined by both round progression and round performance, i.e. the number of conduits successfully defended." https://warframe.fandom.com/wiki/Disruption#Rewards
You need 55 c rotations on apollo, lua to have a 99% chance of getting at least 1 lua lens blueprint. if after that you dont have one you need 283 c rotations to get it or destroy reality itself.
That's not how probability works. You just have 99% chance to get /at least/ 1 when bundling 55 attempts together; 56 or more would just cut down the chance not to get a gawd damn single one further and further. Still, I feel like there's someone out there who has gone through thousands of C rots and still not get it.
And in the end, it's still 8.05% for every C rot.
Whoever came up with lenses being destoryed when they get replaced should be forced to drink spoiled eggnog for a week
Or just force them to drink Eggnog without the egg.
Drink the Nog Now!
I have somehow managed to get 5 medallion drops before a single lens
8,05% chance for the lens, okay, sounds not that bad, right? Right?
Plays the mission I don't know, maybe 7th/8th time + probably tries from long ago, leaves the mission after 6-10 rounds so 2 less rotations C than that, gets 37 somatic fibers from demolishers and 0 Lua Lenses.
Yrgh, probably the worst luck I have ever had in Warframe...
FINALLY! Two or three tries for same number of round from comment above, I finally got 1!
...now break from getting more of this... it is also easier to get than Eidolon one (I already got one, yay...), right?
What mission did you used to drop this??
Actually its harder to get Eidolon lenses, they only have a 7+% chance of dropping.
This page says it's a Rotation C reward but the Disruption page shows it's a Rotation B reward. Not sure which one is accurate. C makes sense but that's not what the Lua table seems to show.
Both pages have it listed as a rotation C reward. https://www.warframe.com/droptables confirms it too. Maybe you misread something?
I get one everytime im trying to get axi O5 , sold 5 of these just this week
Long ago tech was implemented in many loot-based games called "desire sensors." It can tell what you're farming and adjust drop rates based on your intentions.
Yep. like you cant get a simple forma print when you actually want it
Because there is no such thing as RNG. They need you to farm stuff so when new players join there is always someone doing older material. When you eventually get the item you're after the drop rate increases to bring your average down to what RNG says it is.
EG, there maybe a 10% chance of a drop but when you start out that chance may be just 0.5% (or less) but when you have he item the chance increases to say 33%.
So, after playing the game for a while your chance will even out to around the original 10%.
Soooo... buy it, farm more, then sell the ones you don't need? Just need a little plat to get started, right? If it really is that way then cheese it >:D
Trading tax : Yes
It is beyond hell to get ahold of one of these things, and NOT worth it at all in my opinion
Are these still dropping in the Lua disruption? I know that’s where it says it is and it’s drop chances are low but I’ve also looked at the disruption page with rewards for all disruption locations and it shows Lua only giving kuva
Yes they are still dropping. I dropped 1 earlier.

Also check better the LUA reward list
Just got one to drop. Had to wiki what it was.

Costs an eidolon lens that is selectable upon build. They are tradeable.
Thanks, will add that to the Lua Lens section.
