  • Cannot be equipped alongside Mod TT 20px Jahu Canticle, Mod TT 20px Khra Canticle, and Mod TT 20px Lohk Canticle.
  • Tome Mods with on-kill conditions do not require the Grimoire to make the killing blow. The Grimoire has to damage the enemy at least once to mark it with Tome effects and be equipped as the held weapon when the marked enemy is killed by other sources, such as Warframe abilities.

From what I can tell it will trigger if you are holding the book and an enemy dies that was damaged by the book "recently". This includes raw damage, status effects, and status aoe's. More importantly it will never trigger if you are not holding the book. However, there are many warframe powers that work as long as you are holding it and it damaged them.

Does the shield recharge apply to self and allies?

Looks like work on Grimoire kills only... would be great if boost worked for entire team

Definitely worth it to keep most frames untouchable by anything but toxin. The only downside is having to keep triggering the effect, however even though the book lacks spectacular damage or aoe potential of some of the better weapons, a basic heat corrosive crit book build still shreds everything.
