Savage Silence is a Warframe Augment Mod for
Banshee's
Silence that multiplies the damage of standing finisher attacks on affected enemies.
Stats[]
| Rank | Effect | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| 0 | +150% | 6 |
| 1 | +200% | 7 |
| 2 | +250% | 8 |
| 3 | +300% | 9 |
Acquisition[]
- This mod can be acquired by attaining the rank of Genius under Cephalon Suda, or the rank of Partner under The Perrin Sequence, and spending
25,000 to purchase.
Notes[]
- Damage bonus is affected by Ability Strength.
- Damage bonus is multiplicative to
Finishing Touch. - Savage Silence affects standing finisher attacks: Stealth Attacks and Counterattack Finishers.
- Causes Silence's stagger to set enemies up for standing finisher attacks. Silence without the Augment will not set up (alerted) enemies for finisher attacks.
- Staggering effects that set enemies up for finisher attacks also makes them take increased damage from regular melee attacks through the stealth damage bonus.
- Enemies affected by Savage Silence also take increased finisher damage from Warframe abilities that deliver their damage via standing finisher attacks, e.g.
Ash's
Blade Storm. - Approaching stunned enemies upfront and killing them won't break the stealth affinity multiplier.
- In similar fashion, bumping into stunned enemies won't break the multiplier either.
Tips[]
- Synergizes well with the
Zakti pistol, as the
Gas explosions will open enemies to finishers, allowing Banshee to simply have Silence active to deal the bonus finisher damage on any enemy without needing low range or duration to re-stun enemies.
Maximization[]
This calculator feature is sunsetted on the wiki. It may not see further updates, but will be present on articles for the time being since some people still find use for them. See User blog:Cephalon Scientia/Sunsetting of Maximization Calculators for more details.

Does it also work for grounded finishers?
Now it does
Was and when the bug finally nerfed when this mod applied to thing other then finishers?
I have a doubt, does simply slapping an enemy with a gram prime while this is active count as finisher damage?
If they didn't see you before you approach them(shown as a not filled out red symbol on your minimap instead of a full red marker for an enemy that is alerted and saw you) you get the finisher damage bonus as long as you kill any enemies in line of sight during the stun. it is a bit awkward to use but once you get the hang of it you get the finisher damage easily. keep in mind if enemies see another die or hear them die they will become alerted which looses the stealth multiplier aswell. personally i would not mod above 160range since enemies will be stunned so far away you won't reach them in time
Finisher damage only affects finisher attacks. Just hitting the enemy normally with your melee weapon isn't a finisher attack. The stealth damage bonus and finisher damage bonus are two separate things.
It seems that neither this mod nor Radiant Finish (excalibur) can improve Hydroid's abilities. Just saying, for the record. Tested in simulacrum, it won't do sheet :c
Thank you, this is exactly what i came here to find out.
They only increase finisher-attacks dmg, not ANY finisher-type dmg!
Hydroid's kit does not include any finisher, so no "finisher" damage or surprise there. Tentacles deal true damage ticks to captured enemies which should not confuse you as it does not perform a finisher. Every finisher deals true damage but not every true damage is caused by a finisher (bleeds for example).
His trick to enable stealth multiplier against any enemy by being invisible with Undertow may have also been changed.
Hydroid's damage being changed from finisher damage to "true damage" is one of life's greatest disappointments.
Augment card says 300% base, but it's actually giving 400%.
100% + 300% = 400%
oh boi, imagine putting this on Ash via the Helminth system: Enemies affected by Savage Silence also take increased finisher damage from Warframe abilities that deliver their damage via standing finisher attacks, e.g. [1] Ash's [2] Blade Storm.
Excalibro's Radiant Finish works the same way and has 25m range instead of 20m FYI (just tested because it's page didn't say anything)
I did try Savage Silence with Balde Storm and Teleport + Fatal Teleport and it's awesome.
The advantage of Savage Silence over Radiant Finish is that the area of the ability moves with the player insad of being in the point of activation, also the duration is exactly the double, so moving the area of Silence is more efficencient both in energy and ease of use.
Except the stun that opens up finishers and that this augment works for only lasts 2 or 3 seconds. The actual silence skill lasts double yes, but the window for finishers is very short. The Radial Blind lasts and stuns for 15 seconds.
I make use of Helminthed Savage Silence on both Ash (with Fatal Teleport and Bladestorm you don't NEED the stun from the silence to set them up) and on Ivara (it's a short range high strength build.) I regularly see damage numbers in the millions with both of them, using Karyst Prime with Finishing Touch and Covert Lethality. I've had Ash break 200 million damage easily. It turns your Teleport button into a Steel Path Eximus Deleter, because the combo ignores Overguard.
This mod + new bronco's dizzying rounds + arcane trickery + fast melee weapon finisher animation will be fun.
This mod already sets up enemies for finishers, what do you need the Bronco mod for?
It onlu opens enemies to finishers while in their stun animation, which is like 1 second or so?... So its a combo that works wonders...
Pairs nicely with Resonance and gunblades to create a nice curtain of death.
Never stop shooting.
The new melee system took away the ability to do finishers with this mod
wrong
how do you do them? I think i am, as i've seen people say that you need to use another button, but i tried both the heavy attack key and the interact key and neither are working for me
Finishers are binded to context action just like how you do Mercy Kills with your Parazon.
It’s pretty ridiculous if you ask me, since it lowers the rate in which you can efficiently do finishers (and indirectly nerfed Banshee in having more i-frames because of the lowered rate to initiate finishers).
If I have a riven that increases finisher dmg, is the finisher dmg incease applied to enemies affected by the stagger of savage silence?
I want to know this out too. According to the comment below from feb12th, "enemies open to finisher damage take 4X more melee damage". This would imply that they should take more damage when affected by this ability but not take extra damage from a riven that increases finisher damage if you are not actually performing a finisher (ex: you are doing a slide attack). If you do perform a finisher then of course it works.
He also says "see radial blind" but the only thing i see there about that is " Blinded enemies are vulnerable to melee finishers (default E ) and susceptible to stealth damage multipliers." Someone on that page also says that "finishing touch increases the damage done to enemies affected by radial blind". The stealth damage multiplier is 8X.
Please test it and let me know your findings to anyone reading this. I would do it myself but i don't have access to the simulacrum which makes it a bit harder for me.
Finisher damage granted by the mod stacks additively with finisher damage rivens.
So: Base Finisher damage + Mods/Rivens + Savage Silence Bonus = Total Finisher damage
Why do i have to have this to farm focus? Slide attacks don't deal finisher damage
Enemies open to finisher damage also take 4x more melee damage, for reference see Radial Blind.
For spin 2 win this does not increase slide damage but it does help lead the lamb to the slaugher:
While the augment provides no bonus damage to slide attacks, I still consider it a must have for solo focus farming. The last two bullet points under the notes section explain why:
I've tried focus farming without the augment and could barely keep the stealth affinity multiplier going. Inevitably, I would accidently bump an enemy while sliding before the spin attack killed them.
Stacks with salvagery from sunika ?
Why isn't anyone mentioning that this augment is pretty much useless because of the Naramon nerf?
Low range high duration banshee, enough said
This augment makes me reach focus cap in under 5mins. How is that useless. Also naramon is good now. Before it was just stupid
@Netzwerkfehler can you post your banshee build for focus farming please?
Go look up H3dsh0t's Banshee Focus Farm on youtube.
Love this paired with Resonance and Sarpa.
does this also increase the finisher damage from slash DoT?
No. This cannot increase Slash proc damage since standing finishers cannot inflict Slash procs. Blade Storm would be the exception, but its bleed effect is actually applied alongside its attacks, rather than from them; both Steel Charge and Savage Silence boost the damage of its attacks but not of the procs.
Just a quick tip, run this with naramon shadow step and a minimum range maximum duration build. You will only proc silence on the enemies you approach to finish, so you can systematically go from enemy to enemy and one shot them, literally no matter what level they are. Bring a high crit melee to remain invisible forever so you can not be attacked.
Banshee, queen of endgame.
more like Naramon, king of endgame. or noobgame.
^
i'm so looking forward to the tenno schools getting removed and seeing all those naramon noobs break down in tears because they're too dumb to play the game like it's meant to
Like it's meant to? You mean using the mechanics and abilities provided, such as Naramon??
Tentacle Swarm, Undertow and Maim also do finisher damage. Do those work?
The Nullifier is actually helping you recast this Ability xD
seems good but why not just use Excalibur Radial Blind? feels exactly the same.
They work the same way, but radial blind doesn't give the extra damage multiplied this mod does. It's mostly unnecessary, but eventually normal finishers will fall off while this mod allows you to continue doing insane amounts of damage.
Covert Lethality says hello.
All joking aside. the answer to "why not just use Excalibur Radial Blind?" is the same as the one to "Why any weapon other than dagger with Covert lethality?".
It's simple - we like playing more than one single character/weapon. Because diversity is fun. And games exist for fun.
banshee + this mod + orvius
nothing more to say
Covert Lethality also exists. Just a reminder.
covert lethality is boring man
