For me, Alad V is a con and an imposter. Still, if Zanuka is brought to full production, he will become the richest and most powerful member of the Corpus Board. He could become Chairman. That is my problem.
The Board of Directors is the leadership council of the Corpus, composed of the faction's various leaders. Little is known about the members or their roles. The Board's current Chairman is Frohd Bek.
Lore[]
General[]
The Board was supposedly created by the Corpus Founder, Parvos Granum. At some point in the past, however, one or more of the members betrayed him, and an assassination attempt resulted in his ship being lost during a faulty Void translation.
Following the fall of the Orokin Empire, the Board continued to lead the Corpus. However, its members are constantly infighting and seek to rise over the rest, prompting the Tenno to take sides to prevent a Board member from gaining too much power and influence.
The introduction to The Deadlock Protocol quest implies that there are fourteen members of the Board, with the theoretical heir to Parvos Granum receiving either a tiebreaker vote or perhaps even unilateral control.
The Deadlock Protocol[]
- Main article: The Deadlock Protocol
Seven for, seven against. Cast and recast, seven times. So, it is decided. The fleet has been retrofitted and redeployed to begin at once. New lanes, trawling for old things. By profit and Void, by the blessed handless founder... we hereby invoke The Deadlock Protocol.
As the Board reach a continuous voting impasse, Nef Anyo invokes "The Deadlock Protocol", a contingency initiative to locate and instate a successor to the Founder. Nef Anyo claims that he himself is the genetic heir which, if true, would give him total control over the Board.
Hoping to prove the Founder's genes match his own, Nef Anyo searches the Void for the remains of Parvos Granum. However, the Tenno and Solaris United reach the Granum Void first. There, they discover that Granum is alive, only for him to rebuke Nef Anyo's twisted and slothful methods within the Corpus revealing that he used him so he can escape the Void.
Following the end of the quest, Parvos informs the Tenno that the Corpus will either come to know a "violent restructuring", otherwise he will abandon them to create a new doctrine. It is currently unclear whether or not Parvos has seized back control of the Board or if he is operating independently of it; since his return the Board members have been largely absent as Parvos leads his own group of Corpus.
