Vala Glarios is a Corpus captain who serves Parvos Granum and is embarking on a revenge mission against the Tempestarii Ghost Ship.
She later serves as Granum's right hand woman, and the leader of the Sisters of Parvos.
Lore[]
Call of the Tempestarii[]
Vala was the sole survivor of an attack from the Tempestarii, an Old War rescue Railjack, on the Lucretia space station. She drifted for days in her exosuit amongst the fragments of her dead crew, dreaming that her "sisters" were singing, leading her to seek revenge against the ship, now lost to the Void Storms.
Cephalon Cy and the Tenno investigate Corpus scavengers in the Veil Proxima, where they are greeted by Vala. Shortly after, the Tempestarii emerges, repelling both the Tenno and the Corpus. The Tenno escape to raid Corpus logs to find out what they know about the Tempestarii.
The Tenno respond to the Tempestarii's calls, appeasing it, and accidentally allowing Vala to capture it. The Tenno destroy Vala's beam generators before using the Tempestarii's ordnance to banish Vala into the Void, who swears to be avenged by her sisters. She wakes up in the Granum Void and collapses, where she is greeted by Parvos Granum who extends his golden hand to her.
Sisters of Parvos[]
Parvos Granum, having desired for a reliable sister in the past, recruits Vala Glarios as his right-hand woman. She is put in charge of selecting and growing Candidates for his new army, the Sisters of Parvos.
Trivia[]
- Vala was first teased in Devstream 153.

Where is she tho we need more
Her voice acting is incredible
Yeah it's pretty good during the quest but idk what happened, the quotes post-quest with sister related stuff sounds terrible
Yeah she sounds like drunk post quest :(
I like her hair but she doesnt do much
I'm a few months late but seeing her facial animations throughout this and Pavos too, DE *really* upping their graphical game. Looking at Alad/Nef to these 2 is a big difference.
Hot af but lame story, good job DE
Was expecting some big boss fight against her. I didn't even notice I was fighting her until she started talking while her ship was blowing up. Pretty underwhelming.
Was expecting a Han Solo type ally with a charming crew to aiding us in taking down an evil warframe, but no...
There is potential in this character, if used correctly she may become one of the primary antagonist of the game. :)
She is an antagonist in the questline
Parvos leader in his harem :)
Kind of gave me whiplash when promotional material and the quest itself hypes up this Vala lady as a big important character, yet she does nor is anything significant - shows up suddenly, says "urgh I want revenge on Sevagoth!!!", then you help him more-or-less kill her and boom, quest's over. Also, her serving Parvos makes no sense, since The Deadlock Protocol both implies 1) he already got out of the Granum Void and 2) he's gonna be an Empereror Calus sorta character to the Red Legion that is the main Corpus we've known for years. Unless her acting in the name of Parvos and presumably seeing him in the Void isn't to be taken at face value, and is some kind of crazyness, considering she doesn't appear to be the most sound of individuals.
He can go in and out of the Granum void as he wants.
Wait, I thought the corpus are very patriarchal.
Aren't they?
All of the Corpus leadership we know are men. Vala, even as a captain, is just an employee with limited authority. She doesn't even have full control of her ship's arsenal, requiring remote permission from Granum to use more powerful (and, presumably, expensive) "multiphasic ordnance".
To be fair, when you need to ask permission from Granum himself, then I don't think it is about being patriarchal. Also, Vala is not the only female captain in the Corpus. As for the general Corpus leadership, we don't actually know if they are patriarchal or not, as we only ever knew three members of the Board, and I'm pretty sure there are more
I remember reading it in some background lore.
Here at corpus we are very progressive!
Complete waste of a potential character, man that quest sucked ass
Would have been nice if she got to do anything in her introductory quest, instead of singing a song then vanishing. She didn't really have any sort of presence. :/
Obsviously, she will be voided like futures Corpus liches...
We will definitely see more of her, as evident by this.
1 quest doesn't completely define a character you know. That's like saying "Dang, I do not trust Lotus at all and she seems to be an emotionless character in everything she says" while only playing 30 minutes of Warframe for the first time.
Three later and still no content. Yet another abandoned storyline in typical DE fashion.
She's going to be the progenitor of all the Corpus liches somehow, it seems.
Aye cap, that's right since her last words mention her sisters to avenge her until the end and corpus lich codename is queenpin. Rather ironic for her tale
The one on Devstream 150 didn't look like her. But Vala was revealed after so there is a chance that this could be true.
She piled upon the Railjack's weathered hull the sum of all the general rage and hate felt by her whole race from Parvos down; and then, as if her chest had been a mortar, she burst her hot heart's shell upon it.
Love this character!
She's pretty uwu
I've already said to not bother me until you get some brain and learn to read, Ladyvan. Impress someone else with your stupidity.
Big words for someone that spouts nothing but nonsense.
Ohhh, you are the absolute moron from the pandero prime page.
Ahahahahaha. nice to see that you keep up your style of being a braindead idiot.
Oooft thats a stack 5 heat proc right there @Ladyvan , ill snatch that insult when I see some asshats online. thanks in advance
But. Does she call Parvos "Oniichan"?
Kinda wish they gave her a bit more screentime and backstory. She seems like an interesting character
In due time
Again, why would Temperstarii has the power to banish others into Void??? From what I see logically, Temperstarii is only destroying Valas' ship but she uses a coin in the golden hand in her ship to escape death, to escape into Granum Void.
Most likely that is what happened. Remember, the update just came out, and this stuff is bound to get corrections. Mostly likely, it used some kind of void based ordinance or portal that was tearing the ship apart and as you said, she escaped using a crown and hand.
The ship has also been in the Void since the Old War. This likely distorted it over time, giving it Void properties. Look what happened to Rell. Also see Revenant – although not Void-related, he gained Sentient abilities from being in some kind of underworld with the Eidolon over a long period of time.
Uhh I mean. The final attack we launched at her was a literal void storm packed into a missile, it's not hard to believe that in the ensuing chaos some people get teleported here and there.
Why would tempestarii has the power? you mead had the power not has
Who is the actress? She reminds me of Louise Barnes from Black Sails
Damhnait Doyle, according to her twitter (@davnetdoyle).
Damhnait Doyle provided the Voice, she looks more like Claudia Black to me lol
Vala Mal Doran?
Big SISTEER Vala's ASMR song puts me to sleep in the cold below.
Shame that they never found further use for Frohd Bek och Darvo's entire family tree. On the one hand it's fun to see new characters added, on the other hand it makes you look at the pile of used ones.
Frohd bek actually never mentioned since his ambulas defeated by Tenno, and his flagship literally destroyed by his own ambulas hacked by Ergo Glast and also he might be presumed dead since he also in his flagship during boss fight
Bek can be heard yelling "Eject the bridge module!" before the ship goes down, so it's in fact quite likely he survived. That we haven't heard from him since is probably due to the fact that he lost a lot of money and influence among the Corpus.
He's probably in Fortuna, selling off his foot to pay for the capital ship he let the Tenno blow up.
Alad V mentions in the Partnership Fragments that all eyes of the Corpus Board are currently fixated on Nef Anyo, who earned Frohd Bek's favor. Since Hostile Mergers takes place after Ambulas Reborn, I'd say that means he got out just in time.
I do hope they incorporate Frohd Bek into Parvos's storyline, since his return directly conflicts with Bek's position as chairman. It'd be a complete waste of potential.
