I’m a bit confused on the Incarion damage. It says here that the total base damage is 60, however the individual damage values (2 impact, 6 puncture, 12 slash) add up to 30. So is there more damage coming from somewhere else or is the listed value wrong?
Hi Tenno, each bullet damage in Incarnon mode adds up to a total of 20 damage, however there is innate 3 base multishot in Incarnon mode, thus total damage per trigger pull (or per 1 ammo) is 60 (3 separate shots for 20 each).
This version of the Boltor incarnon allows for 100% crits with mods, no riven needed. With Deadhead headshot crits, it imho beats Boltor Prime. If you arent interested in headshots, then I suppose you could go with Boltor Prime for status, but I will take the crits. The best thing about this updated weapon is that it works well in regular mode. and it is automatic in both modes; none of the semi-auto crud.
Oh and galv scope mod for the above. It is all about the crits.
Don't forget the parkour speed buff too!
Yeah the base mode feels way stronger than incarnon especially if you build for pure puncture
For those wondering the incarnon on this really doesn't add much that the gun can't already do naturally. Obviously if you have access get it, but if you have to chose it isn't the best IMO.
The biggest difference is you'll see a few extra slash procs on the incarnon form. The damage feels about the same though. Its biggest benefit IMO is the flat bonus to the crit stats when in either mode. On a decent build (with or with out incarnon) you can expect to kill most weaker lvl 90.s in 1 bullet. Not bad but nothing insane either.
I disagree. 20% base status chance is HUGE, especially if you have a corresponding Riven given its dispo. 4 Punchthrough is also no jokes, especially with synergy from frames such as mag
To each his own. However the incarnon form has very low status chance and the punch through thing is actually on soma incarnon. The reload perk is pretty neat tho
Love this chunky chunky boy! Pick yourself one up today, slap on dam, ms, cc, cd, puncture, and jump into steel path :D
Ah back in days this weapon was...duh bro this weapon always has been shiet lmao
Nope.
This weapon is still pretty good, even today, and that's not even talking about the Incarnon form or evolutions lmao
Do Syndicate buffs proc when it becomes incarnon?
Yes they do
Yup so if you're using Galvanized Aptitude, It adds to it
Crit Chance of the telos Boltace will likely make it king for its incarnon variant due to its synergy with hunter munitions. Unless you prefer heat builds.
Higher crit chance doesn't necessarily mean that HM is the best option, HM is best on weapons that want to do one big hit and let the slash kill, not really so much on weapons that want to do a lot of smaller hits, or already have good enough stats that they don't need the slash. This weapon has an average headshot multiplier (which multiplies with crit hits), good crit stats, and leans more toward many small hits, than few big hits, so it's actually better to forgo HM in favour of leaning into its strengths through Corrosive and Radiation (which covers the weaknesses of every Murmur and Grineer enemy) and just chewing through their HP with raw damage. HM honestly isn't that good on most high crit weapons, and you shouldn't really look at crit chance solely when evaluating whether or not HM is worth using.
Munitions helps but a pure puncture build is also really good
Too bad that their best enemies with my veil bois.
Allying with those edgy dorks?
Cringe.
Actually u can have both. Veil through steel meredian and hexis through suda
The health restore from the Truth is nice to have but not enough to justify this weapon which is good, but not great. If it were a slash weapon that would be so much better. A riven that dramatically increased magazine size would help it along.
Lady, i just said you didn't need a riven for it. Telos boltor is wonderfully powerful unless your modding it with 8 flawed ammo drums. Your statement about slash weapons is also wrong, munitions gives 30% but if a critical slash weapon has higher sc than 30% with a high slash base it will proc more frequently than munitions by itself. Mind you, you can also use munitions in addition to the natural slash procs, or squeeze viral in easier. That riven rant sounds like an issue between you and d.e., which I am not. Also its 25% vs alloy not 15%. You also left out 50% vs ferrite. Also it doesn't lack the negative damage that other damage types have. Also they changed critical delay after that post, not before.
Have a good day,
Before Incarnon, it was a passable weapon at best. Not useless, but definitely not wonderfully powerful. Its a lot stronger now, even if it has one of the more boring incarnons.
Also no, pretty sure its 15% against Alloy.
I don't think the 50% against Ferrite is very notable, considering that Alloy is the far more important one, but I guess its still worth mentioning for Heavy Gunners.
Doesn't matter though, as it does not change the fact that puncture will be a very minor portion of your damage. And Boltor is a slash weapon during Incarnon anyway.
As for the slash point, most 'slash based' primary weapons are rather low in the slash department, often having way less than 50%, and a few with high slash have awful status chances, to the point where you are better off just ignoring that part unless you can boost the slash percentage with a Riven. There are exceptions, but for many primary weapons that have a majority slash damage, its not worth actually building for.
Shouldve properly clarified with "slash based primary weapons" instead of just writing "Slash based weapons" in the original comment, as clearly it works out very well for slash based melee weapons, who often hit very high slash percentages and reach absurd status chances.
Not even sure what were arguing about anymore :p
Maybe one of these days youll bump into me in steel path using my non incarnon telos boltor with a puncture build, and without hunter munitions. Just follow the sounds of skulls popping and you'll know its me.
Ah totally glossed over your point about incarnon being slash. That is true, if you are using the actual incarnon. If you use it in base form with just the incarnon perks, it is still puncture and kills faster than incarnon mode.
One thing I find very irritating about syndicate weapons is their inability to be traded if you have levelled them up. There is literally no in game indication and I wasted time trying to figure out why I couldn't trade it. I'm not asking for much, I'm not saying this shouldn't be a thing, just some kind of text somewhere that will tell players exactly why they can't sell their syndicate weapons would make me a very happy chappy knowing someone didn't have to waste as much time as I did scratching my head
Otherwise I like this gun
No weapon can be traded if you have increased its level, dude.
I agree that the game should tell you more about what things you can trade, and in cases like these, when do they become untradeable.
^^ do you know how long it took me to figure that out?
I am new to the game. Even I understood that without anyone telling me
.
Punch Through any good for this? I got a +180% Damage +2.7 Punch Through Riven
Projectile speed seems quite a bit faster now, doubt that it's still 65 m/s.
Besides this, what else do I need for a Space Marine loadout?
Sheev and a lex prime.
A suit of Terminator armor.
Thoughts on a riven that has +84.8% Multishot, +86.1% Toxin, +53.3% Fire Rate but -68% projectile flight speed? Is the flight speed gonna kill it or does it still have potential?
probably killed it. Telos Projectile is already slow by itself. but you can counter that negative Projectile speed with another mod
Thanks, might see what I can do but I've already got enough trouble with the travel time.
Projectile speed exilus fixes it, very workable riven
I want to reach Maxim rank, but I'm good with Red Veil as well. I assume I should gain standing with Suda and Meridian instead?
Funny how people used to bash this weapon and now it's pretty much tied with Vaykor Hek as the best syndicate primary, far above anything else.
True. I wonder how damage 3.0 would effect it... if that was still a thing...
who wouldnt bash something that used to have 5% cc
Status Lovers?
Is it just me or is this thing kinda stupid in how powerful it is?
The projectile travels fast and seems quicker than Supra Vandal. Is it really 65m/s?
Please for the love of god DE rebalance boltor prime, status is such garbage V_V
Like above Tenno said, Status is garbage? Last time I checked status was king. Crit is most effective when its mixed with status, and Hunter Munitions is technicaly status. Look at the Mara Detron, one of the best secondaries in the game easily.
People don't know how status works LMAO. Status weapon can live without crit but crit weapon with shitty status is garbage in high level game.
"Please apply cold water to the burned area."
"And Bandage it well"
Damn that's sad that much better Soma Prime for years now have became kinda obsolete after Boltor got buffed.
plus, syndicate effects
soma is hit scan, boltors are projectile
