Patch History[]
- 1. b) Holster Speed Buffs & Mod Changes
These changes to Ammo encourage swapping between weapons, so we’ve taken the opportunity to dramatically increase the swapping speed between Primary and Secondary. The real purpose of your Secondary weapon is for it to be a backup to your Primary, but with the holster speeds the way they were before that vision was not realized - until now!
In light of the overall speed buff to holster speed, we have made the following changes to the mods and Arcanes that offered holster speed stat increases:
(All stats below are shown at max rank)
Synth Reflex:
- Removed its 100% Holster Speed bonus and reload 5% of Magazine/s when holstering Primary and Secondary weapons.
- Replaced with +40% Bullet Jump for 2 secs.
Hotfix 30.5.3 (2021-07-09)
- Fixed the Synth Mod Set bonus not functioning while on a K-Drive/Merulina.
Update 30.5 (2021-07-06)
- Fixed Synth Set mods reverting to a single mod bonus after death.
Hotfix 24.7.2 (2019-04-17)
- Synth Reflex now has a HUD buff icon.
Hotfix 24.0.9 (2018-11-21)
- Synth Reflex and Vigilante Pursuit are now Exilus Mods. These Mods currently have similarly functioning Exilus Mods (Streamlined Form and Enemy Sense), therefore utilizing a Mod slot was counter intuitive.
Update 24.0 (2018-11-08)
- Introduced.

Why they removed 100% holsterspeed and how bullet jump is useful?
Because instead of another bandaid fix, they actually buffed default holster speed across the board. You don't need a mod now to increase holster speed.
How bullet jump is useful? That's a joke right? Well if serious, high parkour and bullet jumping makes you impossible to hit, allows you to just eat up these huge maps where you have to travel huge distances. And yes, I have a maxed OP, but it will run out of energy with no enemies around. You can't just lap plains. It's a movement based game, so yes, on some frames, for some setups, you can build for damage and speed and its incredible, way more fun, completely different experience and can still wipe,
What in the hell is "bullet jump efficiency"
A fkng joke, that's what it is.
Crazy
Insane
Unhinged
Its not working if you are using archwing useless for plaguestar
Worth noting about the set bonus. if used during zenith's alt fire will keep the alt fire up forever as long as u dont reload normally.
So why are people still using this in 2019 for mesa? Is the switch to her regulators that slow that you need to use the exilus slot for that instead of a straight up damage increase via power that applies at all times?
it does lol
regulators cost more the longer you use them so staying in stance is overly expensive, switching out for killing 4-5 seconds at a time is the way to play her now. Faster swap speeds means better dps higher energy efficiency.
Nope.
So your going to disagree and then proceed to not elaborate?
All these Synth mods are so bad, it hurts, but the special reloading mechanics are quite useful.
Nah. the health mod one allows u to consume infinite health orbs. nice with equillibrium
This is a HIGHLY under reated mod. The holster speed alone is worth it in my opion. When used with the 2 sentinel mods for this set though it becomes one of my favorite set bonus mods. Its especially useful on a Dethcube with Energy Generator giving you a reliable sorce of both energy and health orbs on any frame.
Never use Synth Charge though. Its not worth completing the set bonus. Not even on utility secondaries.
alternativly. use synth charge becuase 200% BONUS damage on vasto prime aint no joke.
This whole set along with Vigorous Swap remind me of the Lone Star gear set in The Division.
As of Fortuna: Hotfix 24.0.9, its an exilus mod
Souka.
with no damn symbol. Go figure.
The symbol DOES exist, it's just blocked out by the set effect symbol. This is also the case with vigilante pursuit.
I wish this mod was an exilus mod but since it's not, vigorous swap feels like a straight upgrade to it.
Wish granted.
not exilus?
tbqh this set could actually be quite good for some playstyles but most frames are far too cramped.
Does this one speedup Mesa's ult animation?
yeah, all holster speed mods do
" Synth Reflex is a set mod that increases weapon holster speed and wastes space/ drains mod points you could literally use for anything else. "
lmaoo who put this in
So, this set with Vigorous Swap?
Even know the mod does indeed work there is just one issue, regardless how much holster speed you got you are limited to how fast you can act after swaping even if you have 240% holster speed, so basicly there usless unless your going for the set effect...or DE makes it you can act instantly on switch
weapon switching seems to be becoming quicker than currently with the melee 3.0 system. i'm assuming they're releasing a bunch of these holster mods in preparation for that.
also holster builds are pretty fun with this set installed.
That's actually a change they made a while ago, to make it look better than enemies getting hurt by invisible bullets while your weapon fires into the ground. Same with sprinting and not being able to fire again right away. Holster Speed Mods are pointless simply so DE can say "We have so many mods in our game for player choice" when a simple change to some values would fix the problem right away
Unranked costs 4 cap +25% holster
R1 5 Cap +50% holster R2 6Cap +75& Holster R3 7Cap +100% Holster
Urgh I hate these fucking swap speed mods.
DE could have made every weapon have different swap speeds, and that would have been cool, but no, we have an arbitrary long swap speed between weapons why? And with the changes they made to weapons a while back to only actually fire once you have them completely pulled out instead of being able to shoot and damage/ kill enemies while still pulling your secondary or primary, it really just exacerbates the issue of every weapon, no matter how small, feeling like you're pulling out an engine block with your bare hands. While it does look better to only shoot once fully out, that would have been the perfect time to actually fucking fix it while they were looking at the mechanics to begin with.
Like that worthless fucking drone they added to Nullifiers. How in the ever loving fuck are you supposed to hit it in a narrow corridor while it's hiding behind the shield bubble?
And I actually do have the MITER augment plus a Riven for the MITER, but that's one of the reasons I hate Nullifiers, they restrict your weapon choices as far as fighting them goes. One of the 6 reasons I personally hate them and think they're dragging down the game.
Nullies restrict weapon choices? When was this? For you maybe.
If you don't want to jump into the bubble to kill them because you lose all your powers then yes, they do. Or if you don't want to get merc'd by the ten other dudes also in the bubble, then yes, they do. Or if the drone is hiding it's tiny ass hitbox behind the bubble, then yes, they do. Or if they suddenly get the urge to sprint at you full force/ come up behind you/ all of the above.
All you have to do is shoot the bubble, why is eveyone complaining?
