Banshee is a sound-themed Warframe. Sophisticated acoustic powers enable Banshee to pinpoint enemy positions and weak spots, suppress gunfire sounds in her surrounding environment, and even emit trembling vibrations to topple her foes. Banshee debuted in Update 7.0 (2013-03-18).

Trivia
- The name Banshee comes from the Irish mythological creature which wails loudly if someone is about to die. This corresponds to the Warframe's powers as she is based on sound.
- Banshee was originally developed under the name Decree and is still referred to as as such internally in the game files.
- The characteristic large spike on Banshee's left shoulder is considered a customizable Armor part, and will be removed if any other arm plates are used. This makes it possible to make a symmetrical Banshee.

Sound quake just needs blast status and it might become a decent nuke
Can anyone confirm whether recasting Sonar instantly cancels the previous wave, similar to nova's 4 if u dont wait out the wave and recast it'll cancel the ongoing wave midway and start over, is it the same with the sonar wave or can u spam cast it ?
I always spam cast it twice, have 2 tauforged casting speed shard and never have seen any issues. With brief respite is replenishes my shields too.
Yes, it does. The sonar wave propagates over time. It's not instant like mprime. You can see how fast it propagates in your minimap after you cast it and enemies gradually become visible.
Surprised to find out she works insanely well in EDA (with Gloom on 4th). Sonar makes everything squishy even with "meh" weapons. It even marks enemy Necramechs. Silence is self explanatory.

Sonar does not highlight enemies on map. I have max range sonar(no radar mods on warframe and companion) and enemies does not highlighted in this range. Only in 30m range wich is innate radar every warframe have now.
Hated this frame pre-shieldgate rework. Now she's actually pretty fun with Breach Surge.
Banshee energy drain/regen or whatever bug is back.

It stacks, but you won't get more than two overlapping weakspots at a time from casting multiple times. I *think* Resonance can still lead to more stacks, but I've not put much effort into testing it.
Silence was nerfed.
Very minorly against a handful of enemies its stagger shouldn't have worked against to begin with.
Still stops them from doing anything more interesting or involved than walking and shooting.
Why do people replace her 4th ability? What’s so bad about it?
Consumes copious amounts of energy, locks you in place, doesn't do great damage.
There's also a large number of enemies now that aren't CC'd by it, so its value as a sustained crown-control ability is negligible.
Eximus generally are the most numerous, but any Corpus sub-faction aside from the old planetside variety, now includes multiple units that both fly and shoot.
Its augment changes it into something great for AOE damage and CC, however that costs 100 energy and a mod slot. Both can be better spent considering you already have a AOE CC for cheaper, and to Banshee energy is life.
For some reason when I was just looking in my dojo I just say banshee, I just thought of the ult from Lucio and I can’t seeing banshee with her 4th ability, go LETS BREAKE IT… DOWN

Oh, let's break it down!
I'm thinking around trying to give banshee a more reliable survivability tool with the helminth but gloom feels clunky on her because of range, a banshee sitting in ivara's cloak arrow is a bit sad and terrify feels a bit like a waste since her 1 can strip... Any ideas?
I but stynax ability on banshee "1" and only use 1, 2 and 3 skills, no adapataion, 200 strenght, 175 range, 100 effi and some duration witha rcanes to strenght and energize, using vazarin shield and regeneration on steel path i don't die and can easy kill any target.
Some possible candidates: Wukong Defy, Harrow Condemn, Octavia Resonator, Revenant Reave, Saryn Molt with augment, Nova Null Star, Loki Decoy with augment, Inaros Desiccation, Hyldrin Pillage (though the strip is again redundant for Banshee), Rhino Roar with augment. I probably will try Defy and Condemn, as they simply great from the get go, if I will be able to afford a mod slot Augmented Molt and Roar are both looking great, especially the latter. Some dmg buff, knockdown, and 10 piercing status can could be amazing, it gives -75% dmg to enemies, and the unusual extra status for condition overload aint half bad either. I wish only that piercing roar would give ability efficiency instead of range passively to roar as it is an energy hungry skill
Gloom works well if you limit yourself to just Stretch for range, which is plenty with Resonance since it casts from the enemy killed by weakspot. Just don't play coy, 'cause at high power strength you're turning that 3 second stun from Silence into near 60 seconds. Also makes Sonic Boom a much stronger disable provided you keep it moving.
Another option is Breach Surge. Main advantage over Gloom and most other injectable CC is it blinds eximus units. (Plus it's fun for adding more ridiculous damage to Banshee's already ridiculous damage.)
T's not necessary, but is a lot better with some moderate range--like Augur Reach or Stretch is enough. A lot of people say never to go above neutral range with her, but I've always found positive range better on her except on Savage Silence builds.
Sonic Boom now has innate armor strip even without the augment as of U32. It can permanently strip armor with three casts regardless of power strength.
But it does not? It was never mentioned in Patch Notes. All they did is remove the Duration on Sonic Fracture so now it is a permanent Armor Reduction

It absolutely strips armor at the moment. That said, without augment, the armor strip doesn't seem to scale with anything, so it takes 3 casts to peel it completely (at least in my moderate amount of testing, YMMV on exact casts, but I noticed no discernible difference in peeling ability from 40% to 300% power strength).
Still a thing, as of today. It's been around so long I'm thinking it's a feature of the armor strip rework they forgot to document.
Who knows with DE though. Even if it's true, the unfortunate thing is if it's not documented on their end either it may get removed later on.
I have question. Should I farm Banshee Prime or Mirage Prime when they are unvaulted, because i'm not sure which one is better
Mirage 1st, then banshee. But, both are a must!
Transient Fortitude + Fleeting Expertise so this is 3.75s duration
A low duration silence and sonar it's spammable playstyle

You spam silence to keep stun while using guns to kill enemy
Then your Helminth Abilities must be Range Stun like Radial Blind
That's such a silly idea if the low duration is only for silence, it's better to have a smaller range (like at 100%). Also you'll have to keep recasting radial blind, since it's only gonna be for 1.875s
Considering the number of times you'll have to cast the abilities... it's inefficient.
Forget about what these guys above are saying...this is one of the most effective, fun and interactive builds on Banshee...especially since her 1 and 4 with augment aren't affected by the reduced duration so they can be used for CC.
You have to have high range to occupy a big area...and you have to put natural talent so the casting time of both abilities is shorter than it's duration.
You have to be fast enough to hit the weakspot which isn't a problem.
It's such a fun build but everyone goes after whatever is braindead Aoe nuke.

My Build With Banshee Is Absolutely Broken. Have A Primed Flow And A Primed Ability Damage mod on her. Both are maxed.
