Notes[]
- Sevagoth's headshot bonus only applies to actual heads and not any other weak spot.
- Epitaph draws ammo directly from the full ammo pool similar to bows, but does not "reload" between shots like them. The delay between shots is all based on its 1.5 fire-rate (0.67s), and Epitaph's displayed 0.6s reload time has no purpose.
- A Specter with the Epitaph equipped will only use its Uncharged Shot.
Tips[]
- Because of both its low fire rate and guaranteed
Impact proc on direct hits, the Epitaph is a perfect candidate for
Hemorrhage to nearly guarantee
Slash procs on every hit.
Trivia[]
- An epitaph is a phrase honoring a deceased person, commonly written on tombstones.
Known Bugs[]
- When
Suppress is installed, enemies will still react to the weapon being fired, and eventually get alerted, making it bad for stealth gameplay.
Galvanized Shot is multiplicative to base damage sources on direct hits in both firing modes.
- For charged shots bonus is multiplied by charge bonus (2x).

Epitaph Skins
Patch History[]
Hotfix 35.0.7 (2024-01-09)
- Fixed dual wielding with the Cirriped Epitaph Skin equipped causing the Epitaph to have offset issues.
Update 32.0 (2022-09-07)
- Ammo Changes
We understand the power fantasy of these weapons is very popular for some, so our first approach was to keep them powerful, but limit how often they can be used by making changes to ammo pick-up.
Ammo Pickup Overrides
The following weapons now have ammo pickup overrides, meaning they gain less from picking up ammo. This mostly applies to AoE weapons, in hopes that players will become more deliberate with their aim to make the most of their Ammo pools. The following lists the specific ammo pick up overrides per weapon category.
Secondary Weapon Ammo Pick Up Overrides
20 Ammo per Pick Up:
- Epitaph
Many weapons have also had their maximum ammo capacity adjusted.
Secondary Weapons:
- Epitaph: From 60 to 40
- Headshot Damage Changes
During playtesting, the ammo changes alone weren’t enough to significantly change things for AoE weapons. So instead of tightening these values to be overly restrictive, we chose to address other factors that make these weapons so strong, such as headshot damage.
Our approach here is two-fold, to reduce the impact of headshots for AOE weapons, but to also make precision headshots pack a larger punch overall.
- Radial damage no longer gains extra headshot damage or triggers headshot conditions.
- This is primarily targeted at the Ignis Wraith - as a “flamethrower” weapon, it’s hard to imagine a blanket of elements being precise enough to target weak points specifically. Explosive projectiles themselves can still land headshots, so there is still a reason to aim with most weapons for maximum damage.
Hotfix 30.3.1 (2021-05-25)
- Fixed the Epitaph moving around and being in random positions when swapping back and forth between Primary and Secondary weapons several times, when getting staggered or when throwing a Glaive while Dual Wielding.
Update 30.3 (2021-05-25)
- Fixed arm cannon type (Epitaph) reticle area being blocked by a part of Zephyr Harrier's shoulder element.
Hotfix 30.0.8 (2021-04-27)
- Fixed Wisp not raising her arm when firing the Epitaph.
Hotfix 30.0.7 (2021-04-22)
- The Epitaph Blueprint is now tradeable.
- Added updated wrist-mounted weapon animations (i.e. Epitaph).
- Also fixes weird wrist angled animations.
Hotfix 30.0.6 (2021-04-20)
- Fixed ability to equip the Synth Charge Mod to Epitaph.
- Epitaph does not meet the magazine size requirement for Synth Charge.
Update 30.0 (2021-04-13)
- Introduced.

Great weapon, great song. I got the parts by accident because I play railjack for fun once in a while.
This thing is already a beast, imagine how broken it will be once it's primed. It might even be the undisputed highest single target secondary weapon in the entire game. Maybe only Lex Prime Incarnon with a riven will be able to consistently outdamage it.
This has aged so well.
We will see it tomorrow
Primed with Sevagoth Prime + Nautilus Prime
I swear to god, this thing was made with Hemorrhage in mind. Throwing Lethal Torrent gives it a fire rate of 2.4 which just lets it get the doubling from Hemorrhage. God, can't believe I only ever used this as a primer because it fucking shreds.
So the warframe that is literally a jojo reference getting a weapon that is named after a jojo reference because if ya watched part 5 you would know
Nobody cares about anime jojo crap.
I do, I think that's really cool tho.
Duality of yaddie yadda
Kingo crimson!
Just got the bp and hemorrhage in the same run lol
'Yes, tabbing this through my wrist does seem like a good idea!'

I'm quite certain I headshot something for over 20 million with a red crit using the full charge, after peppering them with the uncharged blasts.
Incredibly funny weapon, both as primer or headhunter
19 blueprints, 27 barrel, still not a single receiver drop
0 anything, too ez
Danm, I got everything in 3 runs. Is not that hard to get, chances are really high.
Just don't let the game know you're aiming for it.
I didn't even want it yet before I know it, I already got all the parts.
"210 barrels 0 blueprints and 1 receiver" that's crazy bro 😭. If that's real you must've been stressing lmao.
-Weapon is named Epitaph
-fires "slabs"
Oh my god is this a mini-tombstone launcher? Thats fuckin amazing and I need it right now.
Farming this thing is absolutely horrible.
Having a pilot as command crew for RJ would help immensely, or else get a good pilot or artillery user (to pop crewships fast), also spam Earth void storms more, I'm able to get like 4min-6min clears easily but with a good pilot co-op I think you can nail that down to 3 mins
Volley seeker is also really good to clear fighters

Currently, Epitaph seems bugged and occasionally does not force-proc impact.

Forgive me for missing the anniversary of Up.

Actually one of the best sidearms for Lavos right here.
Mitigates Cedo's damage falloff with sniper mode for long range.
Main fire excellent for spreading multiple statuses over a wide radius to synergize with Catalyze.
Limited ammo is completely negated by Transmutation Probe (even though tbh that 60 ammo goes a LOT farther than you'd think.)
Unfortunately, his default wrist cuffs prohibit accurate aiming in sniper mode and applying other armor parts only affects his shoulders, not his wrists, so you can't actually see what you're shooting at. You can still hit bodies without issue but be prepared for half your headshots to miss. Which is a long way of saying: Lavos Graxx skin when?!?!
Too long didn't read
Wish granted bro
So does the reload speed affect firerate or not ? aka if i get primed quickdraw will it do anything at all ?
I understand there is not magazine to reload but it still has reload so is the delay betwen shots combination of relaod and firerate or ? can someone test it pelase ?
Reload speed does not affect this weapon at all. Similar to bows.
Reload speed effects this weapon, as well as bows.
However, the reload speed is already so low that it's not worth the slot.
Although we lost the Synth Charge synergy, there's still a Hemorrhage mod that makes his Charged shot a devastating and deadly obliterator at 95% of the times, since it always has the Impact proc on the shot and is below 2.5 fire rate.
I hope DE can hold their urge to "Kill" for this one a bit longer.
There is nothing to kill, the Hemorrhage "synergy" you talk about is a regular weapon mod interaction. nothing crazy. The Synth Charge stuff was unintentional.
I find this to be an amazing primer. Throw in a Condition Overload on whatever melee your using you'll be a force to be reckoned with.
For those wondering about the "slab" since it looks like a normal projectile when fired... Go into captura and turn on 0.1x slow motion. You'll see that it really is the same mesh used for the slab that sits on the bed of the wrist launcher.
Almost no one will actually care, but it's a fun exercise to do.
I love to use captura exactly for that, to observe details!
Sadly, most of the things are flawed and lazy-made.
Yeah, I mean, I get it. If you're going to spend artists' time, better to do it where it's visible clearly vs on a fast-moving part. But I'm with you in enjoying the small and hidden details.
Let's play a game of who's feeling more pain!
A. The guy who's wielding it by getting his arm impaled like Jesus
B. The dude who's gonna get a thin slab with 5x the power of a .950 JDJ round?
I'd say A because it's constant pain, at least B has a high chance of either dying outright or shortly after being hit
144% Crit chance, one-shots high level Nox's, best secondary imo
I really like this weapon but I feel like I am the only one that uses it's loaded shot.
Nah, I use it.
