Encrypted Journal Fragment
Khora's first recorded appearance is linked to a Corpus Morphology Specialist known as Sigor Savah. Savah worked under Nef Anyo's Venusian terraforming expedition, tasked with decoding the
Orokin gene record of the Vallis and reviving select specimens for study.
During one of his studies, Savah came across a unique specimen of Orokin-era fauna; an unusually large kavat that was found fully intact inside a sealed closet, it's body frozen for millennia. This kavat was in fact Khora's animal companion, Venari. Labeled as Specimen VK-7, Savah returned to his lab with the Venari's body, As he was preparing for a surgical dissection, the kavat had somehow willed itself back to life.
Venari was not simply a mere kavat, as she possessed a unique series of atypical behavioral characteristics. Kept in a cage within his lab, Savah noticed that whenever a visitor came by, she would study their habits. Eventually, she came to anticipate regular arrivals, having memorized their schedules.
Venari would eventually break free of her cage, and would go on to roam the Orb Vallis purging any nearby Infested hive sites. Savah would attempt to join up with a Corpus team deployed to a nearby hive, but when he arrived, he found that the entire team and hive were slain by Venari. Before he was able to flee, she blocked him, discouraging Savah from calling for backup. As an act of trust, Venari revealed her wounded side to him. Placing loyalty above profit, Savah found himself tending to the kavat's wounds.
After the incident, Venari managed to infiltrate Savah's lab without raising any alarms or alerting any of the guards. In her jaws, she held a severed, fossilized hand, and left without a sound, leaving the hand behind. Savah began to analyze the hand, and discovered that it was part of the original Khora warframe, one Anyo Corp had no record of in any of their treatise
The Corpus, naming Venari as the Horror of the Hives, deemed the creature a threat unworthy of study, and declared that it was to be destroyed in its lair. Savah would attempt to rescue Venari by using a canister of animal tranquilizer to stun the incoming hunting party. However, their respirators easily dealt with the gas, and he was promptly detained. Due to the disruption, Venari was able to escape unscathed.
For his betrayal, Savah was imprisoned and interrogated on everything he knew about Specimen VK-7, and soon was sentenced to be executed. Venari would visit the hab of Savah's assistant, Smokefinger, giving him the keys to where he was imprisoned. As Smokefinger opened Savah's cell, Venari dispatched his executioner with a bite to the throat. Knowing both of them could no longer stay on Venus, the pair fled for a conveyor bound for a nearby orbiting Rail tractor, but the Corpus had caught up to them. Giving the scientist one final glance, Venari activated the conveyor and lunged at her pursuers, sacrificing herself and sending Savah into orbit.
Savah would then dedicate his life to searching for the remainder of Khora's remains. He found out later that her fused body was found fully intact, within the Orokin terraforming complex on Venus. However, she was shipped offworld by a notorious Solaris Rail agent (presumably Little Duck), who vanished right after.
Savah spent many years on the Plains of Eidolon, believing it to be the location of Khora's remains. Sometime later, after he mysteriously left the Plains, Khora's blueprints would then be donated to the Sanctuary of Cephalon Simaris by a member of The Quills. Shortly after, one of the cephalon's Sentinels found and synthesized Venari, who appeared to have desired capture. However, she immediately disappeared alongside Khora's blueprints, much to the chagrin of Simaris. He states that her presence can often be detected during Sanctuary Onslaught, and that she waits for a worthy Tenno to claim Khora's parts.
Notes
- When Khora wields her Signature Weapons:
Hystrix/
Hystrix Prime has a 8% chance on headshots to instantly reload.
Dual Keres/
Dual Keres Prime gains 20% Heavy Attack Efficiency.
- Venari herself grants 6,000 mastery points, similar to other companions.
Trivia
- Khora is the 35th unique Warframe to be released.
- Khora was announced in Devstream 100. The stream featured her concept artist, Michael Skyers, who is one of Digital Extremes' 3D model artists.
- Khora was later also mentioned in the Ghoul Fragments.
- Khora's abilities have undergone revision during the development process due to player feedback on Damage 2.5. Initially designed to change between Physical damage types (
Impact,
Puncture, &
Slash), her finalized kit was showcased on Devstream 109 with the dependency on damage types removed and a new behavior mode selection feature for Venari was introduced instead.
- Khora is the first Warframe to ever require Kavat Genetic Codes, due to Venari being a Kavat, and the first Warframe to require Kuaka Spinal Claw, possibly due to her connection with the Plains of Eidolon mentioned in the Ghoul Fragments.
- The inspiration for Khora's name could come from the Greek Goddess Kore (also known as Persephone), Queen of the Underworld and wife to Hades, God of the dead and King of the Underworld.
- Kore is also the modern name for a type of free-standing Ancient Greek sculpture portraying an emotionless maiden symbol of the ideal, transcending above the hardships of the world.
- Another inspiration could be centered around Plato's term khôra which means neither being nor nonbeing, but an interval between in which the "forms" were originally held; it "gives space" and has maternal overtones (a womb, matrix). This seems to be the theme of the Ghoul Journal Fragments.
- Khora's visual design was inspired from an arachnid, hence the abdomen-like skirt, and spiderweb-like design on her chest.
- The four spikes on Khora's back are a special auxiliary attachment, similar to
Nekros binds.
- Khora is the second Warframe after
Inaros to have a built-in polarity in the Exilus mod slot. An Exilus Adapter is still required to unlock the slot, but a Forma is not necessary unless changing it to another polarity.
- Venari's name originates from the Latin word, meaning "Hunt".
- Khora is the second Warframe whose main blueprint is dropped as a possible loot reward, first being
Ivara.

I remember i actually had much fun farming Khora for weeks and would enjoy further aimless survival AFK farming with Khora for months until i got bored. anyway definitely my favorite thing in this game
Right
Kuva farmer and her Kavat (emotional)
How tf do i not get instakilled on sp? she has no survivability
What lvl cap u talking about? Any tank build can be oneshotted from lvl 200 conjuction survival enemys pack and shield gating work on any content since everyone healing with arcanes in no time. U noob man git gut and stop defending your useless opinion.
??? What have you been using? I armor tank level 200 enemies all the time. With Khora. No they are NOT one-shot at that level.
Lol, 1 shot at lvl 200..... both shield tanking (not gating) and health tanking are viable up to lvl 1000, depending on the frame of course, sometimes even higher. But for khora specifically you don't need either of those if you actually play her kit and not make it easy to get killed. CC'ed and dead enemies do no damage, so kill them before they kill you.
Steel/Umbral Fiber/Full Umbral set.
Keep Venari's heal up.
Use Ceramic Dagger with Incarnon Adaptor, with the +100 Damage perk and the +30 cc perk. Mod for Viral.
Use 235% Range, Accumulating Whipclaw and Pilfering Strangledome.
Stayed 1h in SP conjunction survival before getting bored. Did not go down ever. Probably not good for level cap, but I don't care about level cap anyway.
I've done 30+ rotations of non-elite, no Khora parts, wtf?
Because u unlucky
Farm Khora prime instead.
There are multiple reasons to get original version of a frame even if they have a Prime.
Just wait for her in Duviri Circuit
Does [condition overload] work on modding for her 1st?
I can't find where it mentioned, if you see pls tell me.
And why not 60/60 mod that is mention?
Nvm, found it now. thx anyway
Even if the idea of boosting even more the overall damage who Khora can deal with her Whipclaw through CO, you really want to build her stat stick for the highest critical raw damage you can manage to achieve, my friend.
Her pseudo exalted features such an horribly low status stance, your enemies might actually die of old age in the meanwhile CO finally activates in approximatively 100 whip smacks in a row.
Also a little bonus: Grab the Incarnon Magistar (The basic one, the sancti will give you way worse crit bonusses on the final evolution due the higher base CD and CC) and grab all the bonus crit evolutionary perks, if you want a rivenless stat stick for Khora capable to surpass even the strongest god roll riven on her average Jaw Sword stat stick.
It is so strong that the game can't properly calculate the amount of damage you're dishing out, going in overflow with negative damage numbers once you'll hit that juicy 12x combo lmao
Did this man just say "horribly low status chance"....
It's 20% base. weeping wounds brings that to 108% at 12x combo.
That is a guaranteed status proc per swing, get your facts straight.
Building your stat stick weapon to focus on slashes easily nets you 3 mil slash ticks with the right setup. So no, building strictly for raw crit damage is not the only viable path. Hell, you can even do a heat setup if you so choose, and it's still strong. I say this, as somebody who actually has done those setups, and uses skana currently, but before that i used broken war, which are both dispo 4 weapons.
I have 5x Khora Chassis and nothing more of her. Just my luck I guess
Khora Prime says hi.
You can't subsume prime frames, though if you want just Khora yeah... the prime is far easier to get. Funny how that works. DE needs to make regular Khora far easier to get, or provide a deterministic method for her acquisition.
Edit: I just discovered the Circuit. Stonks.
U can make something way better then khora
NAPOLI JUVE APEROL
NAPOLI JUVE APEROL
Here is a question
If you subsume over khora's 3, does that make the speed buff from venari stay at 15% even when below 100% strength? (40%)
Because if it stays at 15% at low power strength without her 3, that seems worthwhile.
No, her passive buff is still affected by strength regardless if you subsume over or not, as venari herself is still present with you in the mission. I've tested this myself when i had this same question a long time ago.
Khora
AROHK
Arohk sounds like a pokemon
I always ESO till round 4 to max rank, so i thought "how could khora be so hard?".thus, run a normal 10 time with 8 round and getting no khora part. Yeah i can see this gonna hurt since no resource drop.
Khora part blueprint drop from normal sanctuary onslaught which is SO instead of ESO.
Chassis: Rotation A (Zone: 2,4,...,10,12,...)
Neuroptics: Rotation B (Zone: 6,...,14,...)
Systems, Main Blueprint: Rotation C (Zone: 8,...,16,...)
^ ty
8 Main Blueprints and no Systems, very nice
Got so many systems and no BP , gg
Why does this frame have the dumbest energy pool number, like, ever
It seems, for somewhat motherfucking reason, melee Incarnon's stat boost DOES apply to statsticks.
Mind sharing their number?
Its Nine Wah Wah
Wth XD
If no one picks up, call for whine one one.
So the systems should drop on rotation C right? That would be 8 rounds completed. It just gave me the Khora blueprint which is pretty annoying...This been changed to fuck with me or something?
Sigh, I see that systems and blueprints both drop on C, that pretty poor - 3 of the blueprints so far 4 Chassis and 2 neuroptics...Maybe I can build some kind of frankenstein version of her instead.
Im experiencing the opposite i got 5 systems on C in my 20+ runs but not once I got blueprint.. I even had two runs where i get all the components from a run but not a single blueprint
Just wait for the circut, lmao
God, I hate it when they give a prime two rare parts for no discernable reason.
Even it's normal version has two parts behind a nearly 30 minutes AABC rotation, this is truly outrageous.
How is Ballas still monologging for Khora Prime, and he Super Dead????!!??
Prime's were made during the orokin era, so long before the current events. the cannon explenation would be that the monologe and frame were made age's ago and only just got discovered.
Some frames never got a intro from Ballas at all (e.g. Mesa Prime) so what's the deal with that?
Just the team not being big enough to get it all done, Hydroid gone one WAY past his release
Did they fix her pet's terrible AI with the release of her Prime?
? What AI issue?
In general, pets have horrendous AI
Oh, you mean the typical ground ones? Yeah, can't deny that. That's why I only use Sentinels, my very first Kubrow barely lasted 3 days before I got too pissed of constantly going back to fetch him from intently sniffing the underside of a staircase.
Venari is much better, if you know a couple of tips and tricks:
1) She is much less prone to getting stuck if she is in a "non-targeted" state, i.e. you Cycle her stance but don't actually target her on something. This often unsticks her
2) A very easy way of getting her to you is cycle her through stances until you get Heal, then target yourself (quickly look straight up at nothing and fire it), she'll warp right to you
3) She's more prone to getting stuck if you have the supplemental attack mods Sharpened Claws and Rend on her. She's better as a pure healing platform anyways so I don't fit those
Using all three of the above, Venari is effortlessly the easiest-to-handle ground pet I've ever worked with.
Please pardon my ignorance... but does that mean that the drops are after completing waves 6, 2-4, and 8? I am having a hard time following how long i need to run it before restarting and if I will need help or if I can solo
I don't know what you're talking about, but the drop tables work like this:
1st and 2nd wave give you drops from the A table
3rd wave gives you drops from the B table
4th wave gives you drops from the C table
Then it repeats, with A table at 5th and 6th, B table at 7th and C table at 8th and so on
Gotcha, thank you
You're wrong, it's every two waves, so 2-4 are A, 6 is B, 8 is C and then it repeats
The way the drop table works changes depending on the mission. Most endless missions are aabc, but there are some that work differently. check the page on mission rewards to see which missions drop what rotation and which intervals they use.
Interesting thing i found today.
So Venari cannot make hunter mods have higher set bonus. However if you equip those on your other kavat, Venari will benefit from it too.
Tested it in Simulacrum. WIth my other Adarza Kavat using 3 hunter mods, Venari do inflict 75% of bleed on enemies with his attacks.
The Plat requirement for Rushing khora prime's components is wrong. it is 25 plat each not 50
He is correct. yesterday it stated that 2 of 3 componens cost 50p to to rush. not 25.
Fixed, thanks.
I thought it may have been a bug at first but it looks like the cloth on her default Prime helmet changes appearance and gets removed altogether sometimes depending on Venari posture which is a pretty cool detail.
