Ferrite is a common resource that can be found on Mercury, Earth, Neptune, Orokin Void. and Zariman Ten Zero. It is usually found in quantities of 50 to 100.

Gathering Tips[]
These should be viewed as advice for finding the materials until better facts are proven.
Doing Steel Path for Ferrite is NOT recommended, seeing as the kills/minute are greatly diminished compared to the other missions where you can run around and focus on opening containers, which is a great benefit when it comes to farming common materials.
- Probably one of the best ways to farm Ferrite is Apollodorus, Mercury (Level 6-10, Survival). You can easily, with a
Nekros, stay in the mission for 10 mins, go for all the containers (with a ![Mod TT 20px](data:image/svg+xml,<svg xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2000/svg" width="12" height="20"><rect fill-opacity="0"/></svg>)
Master Thief ) and get over 4k Ferrite (20-25k per hour), and extract right after you receive the B rotation-reward (or even before then, if you so desire). - M Prime, Mercury (Level 7-9, Crossfire Exterminate) is a great place to farm Ferrite. It will yield around 2,5k-3k Ferrite (~18-19k per hour). Break open all the containers and open all the lockers to achieve maximum possible yield. Master Thief will be of help in achieving as much loot as possible.
- Terminus, Mercury (Level 8-10, Crossfire Sabotage) is another great place to farm Ferrite. Open every container and locker, and you should end up with about 4k Ferrite per mission (~18k per hour).
- Teshub, Void (Level 10-15, Exterminate) can yield 2.5k-5k Ferrite (~14k-30k per hour), when all crates and lockers are looted. However, this method bears the drawback of taking a lengthy amount of time to complete each mission, due to the big tile set (12+ minutes).
- Ani, Void (Level 20-25, Survival) is also a good place to go to get Ferrite (~14k per hour), but still takes a lengthy time to complete.

transcribe to Ga, the chemical symbol of Gallium, instead of actually spelling 
or Fe as for Ferrum/Iron.

If done solo with a nekros ,would it be a stretch to assume 1 h 30 m yields ~~129k ferrite? (With res and drop chance booster)
From my personal tests, if you get mag (with greedy pull) and a good weapon, solo Ani, stay 10 min and repeat -> you will get around 11k every round -> 99k in 1h30min
This is done with Resource Booster + Resource Chance Booster
Mot in Steel Path with a full squad gives around 100k/20mins with resource drop chance and resource boosters

In the gathering section it says "Coloris" is an exterminate mission when actually it is a capture mission. this should be changed from "Coloris" to "pantheon" as pantheon is the exterminate mission on Mercury
Appolodorus, max range Nekros with Hydron and Speed Nova. Double resource booster gave 60k Ferrite in 25 min.

Max range nekros, x2 resource booster, and resource drop chance booster on Appolodorus for 26 minutes yielded 44k ferrite, 16 morphics, and 5.7k polymer bundles. Still a good place for ferrite.
7k ferrite on Teshub after spending about 8 minutes in there with a nekros, same boosters. Still feel appolodorus wins out here.
I've tried a lot of locations, and I confirm other comments that Teshub is the best right now. With Equinox ++range/efficiency/duration, at this low level, Maim can nuke all enemies with just a few kills stored, and it breaks open all containers in range. So all you need to do is press 4, run into a room and shoot a few enemies, pop 4, and scoop up loot. No need to wait around corpses for Desecrate to proc, or manually open containers / run a Limbo loot build. With Equinox Prime, running by the death orbs even gets you energy, which is icing on the cake.
With drop chance booster I average 3000 ferrite in 4 minutes, not including the 2-4 argon crystals and the free Lith relic.

Nekros + Nidus on Mot in the Void. 10 minute run yields 3k+ Ferrite. Best run was 4.5k with our Helios' dying early.

Last time I checked the two were at war, why does a Grineer manufactured resource have Corpus lettering on it?
Being used in Grineer manufacturing doesn't necessarily mean they manufactured them. The Grineer probably bought or stole them from Corpus.
as far as I could tell, this hasn't had a full update since U13. Anything that was added past that mostly fell under "it's a Warframe or it doesn't require research".

14,000 Ferrite in 22 minute run on Apollodorus with nekro ember build
Second farm 7,000 in 20 minute run. spent chunk of run in spawn area. Does not drop life support in that area as well as reduced general drops

Just wanna add that if you have titan extractors and place them on planets like earth with the primary resources is ferrite (top of the resource list next to the planet) you will a majority of the time claim ferrite about 500 every 2 hours with 3 extractors i mean it adds up on the side i guess.
Running void capture/exterminate as nekros/hydroid and breaking or opening everything is probably the fastest way to get Ferrite now. Preferably run Void Fissures since they will continue to produce large amounts of enemies for you to kill along the way. The other drops in the void are massively more rare resulting in more Ferrite.
So unless you need Neurodes, just sweep through any exterminate/capture in the void - 5 mins usually nets around 4k without a booster or nekros/hydroid.
I'd also suggest running Maim Equinox to break any containers or Nekros/Hydroid with atterax / orthos prime or with a friend/squad hunting for Argon.
I did 2 runs of Teshub, Void, and an average of 4000 ferrite for ~10 min of game.

Can confirm ; 8 minutes, 2,204 ferrite. Very low level infested survival; any amount of AOE attacks makes it super simple.
This helped, AoE weapons or flak cannons such as the Dragkoon are good, gained 1k ferrite without resource boosters using Harrow Prime and the Dragkoon.
