Emissive vs Energy?

Can someone break down the difference?
Cause I just dont get it, even after changing the colors very carefully to see what changes.

Emissive is the lights on your frame.
Energy is your ability colour
Ok, one's lights, the other's effects. But why can you select 2 colors for each?
Emissive colours the glowing lights on your frame/weapon's model. Energy colours your frame's ability effects, your weapon's gunfire, etc.
Emissive are the lights on your Warframe or attachment etc. (E.g red emissive = red lights on Mesa)
Energy is colour of your abilities (e.g mesas gun jamming aura ability could be blue if you wanted). Or any lighting coming out of your attachments
They used to be the same thing but now you can seperate them
