Regarding the Operator vs Drifter choice who did you choose to be?
I personally chose the Operator as I feel like they’re the ones with the more personal connection to the story and the Lotus.
I was actually surprised it gave you the option to continue as the Drifter as to me it felt as if the character was too new and too far removed from the past story to be as satisfying to beat Ballas with.
Curious for reasoning on both, but especially on anyones reasoning on choosing the Drifter. Also, was there anything specific to the interactions for the Drifter that you know of if you did choose them?

I chose the drifter, because i had a very small sliver of hope, that i'd get to keep the unique playstyle and a slightly altered Path. Sadly no such luck and it's just another skin for kiddo to be less kiddo

Drifter. Not any high and mighty lore garbage I'm just a bit tired of being an awkward teenager and liked the Drifters model more.
Kinda sucks that most of the operator outfits dont work on drifter though... i bought that harrier deluxe set to get the operator jacket and you cant use it. Only the set from the prime accessories seem to transfer over. And the drifter has new equipment but it looks kinda meh for now.
That’s fair, sometimes I forget they’re supposed to be like 16.
From my understanding during my playthrough, the drifter is the kid that never shook hands with the man in the wall and was never saved by Lotus. Even without that connection to Lotus, the drifter felt compelled to save her. I chose drifter for the closure. It's also why I did the snake archon last.
Drifter because it felt like natural progression and seems more matured. I doubt my operator wouldn't have the emotional control after the lotus betrayal.
The drifter's story felt more real since its like a young adult working at a macdonalds trying to pay for the mothers expensive medical bills with shit pay, you know cause no void magic stuff during the entire drifter gameplay early on.
The fact they actually struggled with transference was my absolute favourite small touch of the quest.
They didn't have to, but they did.

My operator looks great and the drifter especially the face didn’t translate well so my drifter looked real derpy. Also the fact that i didnt realize you could customize them during New war didnt help
For the same reason you had the operator felt like that had a more personal connection to the lotus and myself so it was basically a choice between a new character that was only introduced to me a few hours ago or the character i have been customizing and playing as since i started playing the game and the character who has actually lived through events leading up to this quests finale
Operator. My girl ain’t been through all this bullshit with space mom just to have some rando come in and snake the saving of space mom.
