Orphix is a Empyrean mission type where Tenno must fight against Sentient Orphix boarding Corpus Ships using Necramechs. It is derived from the events of Operation: Orphix Venom.
Players must complete The War Within to play in Orphix missions.

These missions are divided into two sections: Railjack objectives and a modified Survival mission that require players to defeat Orphix in a timely manner in order to survive.
Orphix Spawns[]
Orphix spawns are not random and occur once every minute, cycling through three distinct tile locations. The following diagram shows how the Orphix spawn locations are laid out in a linear fashion.
A 🡆 B 🡆(C) then (C)🡆 B 🡆 A 🡅 🡇 C 🡄 B 🡄 A or (C)🡆 A 🡆 B 🡅 🡇 C 🡄 A 🡄 B

Example Orhpix spawns
The Orphix spawn pattern starts with Tile A, Tile B and then Tile C. After the 3rd Orphix, it changes to use the spawn pattern CBA-ABC or CAB-BAC. Note that spawning tiles will be adjacent but not necessarily in linear arrangement and probably have branch paths that lead to dead ends.
Fighting the Orphix[]
Orphix radiate a pulse field that disables Warframes and dispels any buffs and active abilities. Crossing into the pulse field with the Warframe will force the player into Operator mode to rely on their Necramechs via Necramech Summon. If the player does not own a Necramech, there will be fallen Necramechs to use Transference into, which are rank 30 and equipped with a Mausolon but are unmodded.
There are two distinct phases when fighting an Orphix: destroying Orphix Resonators and weakening the Orphix.
4-5 Brachiolysts | 4-5 |
3 Brachiolysts, 1 Aerolyst/Battalyst/Conculyst/Symbilyst | 3 + 0/1/2/3 |
2 Brachiolysts, 2 Symbilysts | 8 |
2 Brachiolysts, 1 Battalyst, 1 Conculyst | 5 |
Summulysts, Choralysts, Ortholysts |
The Orphix is protected by multiple Orphix Resonators near it and can only be damaged when all Resonators are destroyed, opening up its center blue cavity to spawn more Sentient troops to help defend it. In ascending order of frequency, Orphix can spawn Aerolysts, Summulysts, Choralysts, Ortholysts, Symbilysts, Conculysts, Battalysts, and Brachiolysts. At 50% health, the Orphix will close up its cavity to respawn Resonators. Once the Orphix is dead, all Sentient enemies spawned by that Orphix will disappear. The Sentient control meter will also decrease by 8% upon defeating an Orphix.
After successfully destroying three Orphix, players may extract or continue destroying more Orphix, up to a maximum of 36. Orphix will continue to spawn even if one is active; if Orphix are left active for 100 seconds (100% Sentient control), players cannot continue and are forced to extract. A mission failure will result if Sentient control reaches 100% when the player has not destroyed three Orphix.
Orphix Damage Resistance[]
Orphix possess DR that scales depending on your weapon's DPS excluding Critical Hits. DPS is calculated by:
Critical Hits are applied after DR is calculated. Additionally, the average DPS is calculated using Health Modifiers and is quantized.

Notes[]
- Necramech Summon has a 1 minute cooldown to revive the Necramech.
- Players must hit the glowing blue cavity of Orphix with a direct hit to deal damage with area of effect weapons. Radial damage alone will not damage Orphix and is only applied to direct hit attacks.
- Orphix Resonators have 3,000 Object health.
- Destroying Resonators will decrease Sentient control by 5%.
- The event missions count towards challenges that involve survival missions, such as weekly Nightwave Acts.
- Tenno Specters will be killed instantly if affected by the Orphix pulse field.
Tips[]
- Early in the mission, Orphix Resonators can be instantly destroyed with the Operator's Amp or Necramech's Melee, Slide, and Slam Attack.
- While there are free Necramechs for use, their unmodded state means they won't get very far with the higher leveled enemies.
Fluctus and
Zenith have infinite punch through and can damage the Orphix Resonators from everywhere.
- Alternatively, loading
Sabot Rounds on whatever Arch-gun the Necramech uses gives it a better chance at hitting these resonators.
- While the
Grattler and the
Kuva Grattler do not have innate punch through, the explosions upon impact do, giving them a decent chance at destroying the resonators.
- Alternatively, loading
- The
Mausolon's alt fire and
Arquebex deal massive damage to all enemies and the Orphix.
- The
Ironbride is capable of damaging the Orphix from any angle.
- Warframes can still use their abilities outside the pulse field. The following abilities can continuously generate energy for Necramechs:
Gara's
Spectrorage with
Spectrosiphon augment
Hildryn's
Aegis Storm
Nekros's
Desecrate (can affect corpses inside the pulse field)
Protea's
Dispensary
Zenurik's
Wellspring
- Use
Voidrig's
Storm Shroud and
Bonewidow's
Meathook and
Shield Maiden to stay alive.
Necramech Rage aids in maintaining energy to cast abilities.
Necramech Repair can greatly improve the Necramech's survivability.
- The
Vizier Predasite's
Iatric Mycelium can heal Necramechs in a substantial amount.
Vazarin's
Protective Sling can heal Necramechs for 500 health over 5 seconds.
- Building for
Radiation will allow for maximum damage against the armored Orphix and Sentients
- The Battalyst's omni-directional laser makes it arguably the deadliest enemy, dealing a lot of damage very quickly to multiple Necramechs at long range. The Bonewidow's Meathook can instantly interrupt its attack and render it out of commission.
Trivia[]
- Despite this mission type becoming available once The War Within is completed, Natah's transmissions can still occur despite the Lotus will not return to the Sentient's side until The Sacrifice, due to the mission itself being directly carried over from Orphix Venom.

Hotfix 29.6.5 (2021-01-09)
- Removed Solaris prisoners in the Operation tileset as no Granum related activities are meant to be present in the respective tileset.
- Fixed another Host migration related scoring exploit.
- Fixed an End of Mission crash when an Orphix attempts to spawn.
- Fixed rare cases where Resonators would spawn behind locked puzzle doors in the tileset.
- It is unlikely that this should come up again, but if it does, it is essential that you take a screenshot with the in-game tool using the F6 key and send the unedited file to Support; screenshots taken this way have special embedded data that will help us find out why the game chose to place the Resonator where it shouldn’t be. Thanks!
- Fixed having Voidrigs Storm Shroud run out on your personal Necramech while you’re in a rent-a-Mech resulting in your personal Necramech becoming invincible.
- Fixed Extraction countdown being reset by enemies/Pets entering the Extraction zone (also occurs in normal Survival missions).
Hotfix 29.6.4 (2021-01-06)
- Over the course of the Holiday break, the team continued to track and fix Operation exploits. Any scores that were determined to be achieved with these exploits have been (and will continue to be) removed from the Leaderboards, and temporary or full suspensions have been issued where appropriate.
- Fixed proper AABC reward not being given when achieving the Endurance max 36th Orphix.
- Fixed an issue where Affinity collected in a Necramech wouldn't propagate to your Arch Gun if you Transferenced in from the Operator.
- Fixed second Necramech death resulting in a functionality loss as the Operator until Operator respawns.
- Fixed having the same Archwing Weapon equipped in the Heavy Weapon slot and the Necramech Primary slot resulting in receiving double Affinity for the weapon.
- Fixed an issue where the player's inventory can end up with two instances of the Necramech's gun, which resulted in losing earned Affinity when Reviving as your Warframe.
- Fixed missing Extraction UI if a Host migration occurs after killing the 36th Orphix.
- Fixed Focus gained by the Necramech not being saved at End of Mission.
Hotfix 29.6.3 (2020-12-22)
- Fixed players being prevented from summoning Necramechs if they are too far away (applies to the Operation and Landscapes).
- Fixed an issue where Leaderboard scores were not appearing if you had a higher score before they were added. Your score shown on Profile from before the Leaderboard went live will not appear on the Leaderboard. This change just means that you can now set a Leaderboard score if it’s lower than what your Profile shows.
Hotfix 29.6.2 (2020-12-22)
With this Hotfix comes the enabling of Operation: Orphix Venom Leaderboards and Clan Trophies!

- Operation: Orphix Venom Changes & Fixes:
- Reduced the bright screen range from the Orphix death to 25 meter range (from 120 meter).
- We now show your current amount of Phasic Cells in Father’s Operation shop in the Necralisk
- Operation Orphix will now sort higher on Navigation’s list of current events than fissures or ghouls
- Optimized the behaviour that when casting Voidrig’s Guard Mode with exactly 50 energy, you just jam your guns and go through the animations without actually being able to use the ability. You can no longer cast when you’re at exactly 50 energy.
- Changed the height threshold for Necramechs to do the ‘hard landing’ behaviour to be much higher. This change was made because often you’d just hop on a flat floor and be stuck in the ‘hard landing’ behaviour animations which would disrupt flow.
- Fixed a case where you’d be unable to use Abilities in your Necramech if you resummoned it and its last position was inside an Nullifier.
- Fixed some erroneous ‘Up/Down’ actions visible for players in a Necramech.
- Fixed being able to damage an Orphix before it spawned (i.e slashing empty air).
- Fixes
- Fixed an issue with Sentients persisting after Host Migration when an Orphix is destroyed.
- Fixed being able to use a Warframe if you bleed out in the Orphix zone as seen here: https://www.reddit.com/r/Warframe/comments/kh7x8v/getting_revived_near_an_orphix_makes_your/
Hotfix 29.6.1 (2020-12-18)
- Fixed several crashes related to Operation: Orphix Venom.
- Fixed two players being able to occupy the same Necramech in Operation: Orphix Venom.
- Fixed a crash associated with Equinox abilities on Orphix Venom.
- Fixed an issue where Orphix would not be destroyed even if their health was at 0.
Update 29.6 (2020-12-18)
- Introduced.

I missed out on Orphix Venom completely (took a break from WF because my old PC was struggling to keep up with new updates + I got burned out on Liches), so I had no clue you needed a Necramech for this misssion. Many people in pub squads don't realize this either and try to bruteforce this mode with Operator only. DE should have added a "constant" line from either Cy or Father that you need to deploy a Necramech in the same vein as Lotus yapping about Reactant in every single Void Fissure (currently Cy only mentions the mech in one line out of three - one in three chance to hear a crucial piece of advice on how to play!), or even scatter some broken mech props around the tile to give you a better hint that you're *not* supposed to flog your unmentionables by using Kiddo+amp for this whole thing.
Also the reward tables are dogshit but that's the F2P tax, I guess.
The tip about corrosive damage is no longer true. Sentients now take bonus damage from cold and radiation, and have resistance to corrosive.
While abilities and Tenno specters are disabled by the Orphix pulse field, companions and normal specters like sydicate eximus, Clem, Kahl & associates are not. These can atleast provide some help in crowd control.
Greetings Tenno! A Fandom user here.
Do you want more A r c a n e s ? Is the monotony of killing the same three tree-limbed abominations in the Plains of Eidolon getting to you? Do you wish to not read the slew of hate comments below me for a guide on how to do this "atrocious" mission? If you answered yes, then perfect!
I shall convey upon you the knowledge of the recipe required in order to claim your delicious arcane rewards.
The ingredients required for this recipe are:
A Railjack that can withstand the harshness of Veil Proxima (God knows you need it.)
A Voidrig Necramech with at least 6 Forma the following maxed mods: Necramech - Steel Fiber, Vitality, Repair, Rage, Flow, Slipstream, Redirection (Rank 8 unless you wanna spend an additional Forma), Thrusters, Friction, Hydraulics, Streamline, and Efficiency (This one can be replaced with Necramech Deflection if you have trouble surviving)
The Arquebex on your Voidrig with 3 Forma and the following maxed mods: Electrified Barrel, Venomous Clip, Containment Breach, Parallax Scope, Rubedo-Lined Barrel (Primed, preferrably), Automatic Trigger, Dual Rounds, Hollowed Bullets.
A Kuva Grattler as your Necramech weapon, obtained from vanquishing a Kuva Lich, with 1 Forma and the following maxed mods: Sabot Rounds, Venomous Clip, Hollowed Bullets, Containment Breach, Rubedo-Lined Barrel (Primed if possible), Parallax Scope, Electrified Barrel, Dual Rounds.
Zenurik school's Wellspring, to regen energy for your Necramech.
Now assuming that you have all of the ingredients listed above, lets get to cooking.
Instructions and Tips:
Erato, Veil Proxima shall be your go-to place for Orphix, as they are the only location with a possible drop chance of the highest rarity arcanes. You need to destroy 12 Orphyx before you can extract.
With the mods listed above, your Necramech will easily and quickly be able to slide at competitive speeds between Orphix Spawn locations with little detriment.
Your Kuva Grattler can make quick work of the Orphix's Resonators, even through walls, within the explosion's range.
Once the resonators are down and the Orphix opens, face the front of the Orphix (preferrably with higher ground, and deploy Arquebex to make quick work of its health bar. Aim for the core and adjust to the Arquebex firing arc if necessary.
Important Survival Tip: Use your 2nd ability often, especially once your Necramech Drops to 1000 health (Necramech Repair will activate). Keep doing this and you'll keep your Necramech alive between 2000 and 1000 health. Mind the cooldown for Necramech Repair above your HUD.
Every now and then, go into Operator mode and deploy Wellspring to keep your Necramech's energy reserves up so you can use your 2nd and 4th abilities as needed.
Now that you are well-informed, you'll be able to tackle this "challenging" mission with extreme ease even by your lonesome. Good luck, and happy farming.
Noice!!!
If anyone was wondering and have only bonewidow as me - it works fine too. Takes probably a few seconds more to get orphix with blade but you don't have to worry about survivability at all since you can hook those sentients for hp. Had 55% sentient control after 12th one at first try, so enough time for sure.
Voidrig is too fragile and have to freeze in one place to deal damage (and cannot use his 2 while he stands). If you're in solo, BONEWIDOW IS THE ONLY OPTION!
First of all, you absolutely can use Storm Shroud the moment you deactivate Guard Mode/Arquebex, during the standing animation. But you obviously need enough energy to activate it, and if you already have a Storm Shroud barrier, you will disable it.
Voidrig is not even remotely fragile. Storm Shroud's barrier becomes stronger for all the damage you would have taken during your three seconds of invulnerability. The proper timing of using Storm Shroud to convert incoming damage into a stronger barrier makes Voidrig significantly tankier than Bonewidow- though Bonewidow is still completely viable, don't get me wrong.
On a different note, here's my underrated mod recommendation: get Necramech Hydraulics for increased jump height. There are so many rooms in the Corpus Ship tileset that are cumbersome to navigate in a Necramech because the upper and lower levels are just barely too far apart to jump between, and you waste too much time navigating between floors as a result.
Complete waste of time getting to the actual Orphix fight to try and learn the fight and solo the mission. Why solo? Because nobody ever plays the mission unless you're the "have big xD on face reading all coments about orphix on veil proxima i do 12 solo and dont need help" asshole who played this content when people actually wasted time on this shit mode to learn how to be such a Legendary Warframer, 15 months of pissed off people commenting with some actual helpful comments from players and of course the random "flex" from assholes that obviously have the time to waste trolling, and DE hasnt atttempted any kind of balance with this shit mode. They were obviously working hard on removing any sense of accomplishment from the players that put in hours grinding gear to make thier frames better with the Whispers release. Now all you have to do to be as powerful as the players that did months of grinding spend a couple days running bounties that a talking Norg gives you, Feels bad for the players that have months and years invested, I know I regret wasting plat on crap like a Railjack skin. Felt right at the time to give some monetary support to DE's F2P game. Regret it now. Lesson learned.
I dont understand this, You are complaining about Orphix, A mission that hasnt seen any updates/fixes since last year.
Because of what? This comment is before the release of the Global event so what are you mad about with this mission?
Seems like the mission has been scaled around a 4-player team. It's very difficult (and at times, practically impossible) to do as a solo player.
Found it easiest to do with:
Nova with max duration, equilibrium, dispensary subsume
Bonewidow with melee, movement, health, armor, rage mods
Ironbride with corrosive crit build
Fluctus with only raw damage mods
Vazarin focus with maxed protective sling
Other unmentioned things don’t matter that much
Use Nova’s 4 before entering orphix zone to cc enemies, Dispensary to regain energy with equilibrium converting empowered health orb to 110 energy.
Bonewidow 1 for healing, avoid using it on MOAs because they don’t heal much. You can also use it to stop the lightning ospreys and disco sentients. Use protective sling if hp drops below 1k as you need to prioritize not losing your necramech otherwise on veil its game over.
Bonewidow 4 (ironbride) for killing orphix and getting through mobs. Your slide attack (hold sprint) inherits ironbride’s damage. You’ll at least need necramech reach to hit the orphix consistently, and its easier to hit on the sides. Its dps competes arquebex due to having less damage reduction.
Between voidrig and bonewidow, I found bonewidow to have higher survivability and energy economy with her 1 and necramech rage. Voidrig could also work but you’d have to time your 2 on a lightning osprey/disco sentient and have an external source of energy regen from your warframe, which would inhibit you from using nova’s cc.
Fluctus stands as the meta for orphix due to inf punch through which saves alot of time destroying resonators. The only other weapon with inf punch through is zenith, but its a warframe weapon, and you can’t use warframes in orphix range.
Having a good map would also help ALOT. The best one would be one with a long bridge room, a 4-pillar room. and the very compact room. The space room and the long room with lights suck as those spawn their resonators further away from each other while giving you no cover. Whereas the other rooms give enough cover by just jumping to the upper floor with necramech hydraulics.
More about the tileset, you can hit the orphix from underneath on the long room with lights. Its also infinitely better to have orphix rooms right next to each other as opposed to being 100-200m away, which is unfortunately pure rng.
Thanks for the tips
The fact that theres tons of comments about this orphix missions is telling. I had no problem up until proxima veil orphix, this one is just trial-and-error at its finest. Tried it solo and online multiple times, no chance. Of course the devs do indeed know how "hard" this mission is, so welcome to free2play and never forget: you always can pay realworld money to speed things up and have a maxed necramech quickly to easily beat this mission. And if this is pissing you off right now, then do yourself a favor and get the fuck off the game, and dont touch f2p ever again.
On today's episode of "Player had to come to the wiki to learn you're playing a Necramech mission, because this is not stated anywhere ingame."
Ya, explains why I've been struggling with these so much. Rage quit the other day... so not only is New War blocked by Necramech, so is doing anything beyond a few missions in Railjack?
I feel like it might theoretically be possible to complete this without a Necramech. That would almost certainly (probably) require a full squad of four players, who are coordinating via VoIP (Discord, etc) and are all fully kitted in maxed out gear (meta frames and weapons, with Primed and equivalent mods wherever possible, etc). At the very least, I'd be interested to see gameplay of a squad attempting it, whether it succeeds or fails.
Nah you cant do it without necramech because you also cant use a warframe when fighting orphix, and even maxed operator is by far not as fast moving and as strong as a leveled/maxed necramech.
You can shoot the orphix with a warframe from outside the disabling field
Hello, everyone! Welcome to another episode of "Do DE Even Playtest Their Game"
Of course they do, thats why this missions are so hard. You can always get it easier by investing money tho...
Just really really poor mission design.
WHY IS IT SO HARD TO HIT THE ORPHIX WITH ARQUEBEX?
It isn't. You (and your team members) need to be on specific locations with either Voidrig or Bonewidow.
Cant summon necramech from gear menu
Is it bug ?
Nope, its a bee.
Bee is a bug.
Maybe if it were not for them to spawn in at such short intervals it would be easier.
That's probably the worst part. It stacks up on you before you've made any progress. Even when you've taken one down you don't have that mental rest you need between tasks. It's just one long *thing* for the whole mission.
I have big xD on face reading all coments about orphix on veil proxima i do 12 solo and dont need help
Поделитесь мудростью, о сенсей. Тактики, советы, любимые афоризмы.
Wukong for fast moving on map +Dispensary+zenurik for necramech energy restore
Necramech+fluctus for Orphix Resonators to destory them through the wall and thats all
Not everybody has a maxed out necramech and archgun + primed mods
Not everyone has to do Orphix, you just can go farm prime parts earn platinum, buy prime mods, form everything and then do them for fun, if something is harder to some players thats mean they need to learn how play curent mission. I failedmaybe 5/6 orphix and then everything go smooth
Erato is impossible to finish, i'm dying at 2nd or 3rd Orphix because enemies deal so much dmg, and then it instantly fail because DE thought it was a brilliant idea to give them 3% control a sec while you are already at 70 so in 10sec you will FAIL again and again add again and again and again and again and again and again... you also need to do mandatory pointless busywork before you can even attempt this stupid shaite what a joke of gamemode. All i wanted is to farm Ambassador ffs... 9 tries and counting without ability to unlock veil survival mission. It would be great if DE wouldn't be designing MANDATORY nodes with speedrunners in mind. It's the worst gamemode in a game for sure but could be great alternative to eidolon hunts with better balancing.
You need to have your own mech for the veil, I dont think you can solo it with a scrap mech, maybe only with perfect play and luck. But with your own mech you can easily do 3 - activate shroud and shoot arquebex. Replensh energy with Zenurik.
Thank you for the activate shroud addition... failed a dozen times on 3rd Orphix because of health. That saved the mech while shooting!
I want to like this game mode. I do.
It's kinda hectic in a good way, it's got (PART OF) a nice loop of blowing up pylons to harm a boss figure rinse repeat, it's presented as an alternative to my least favorite bit of content in the game- the mind numbing eidolon farms, and it's even offering value to the investment we put into our mechs which adding value to the various investments we make in-game is good! (Mechs have already found their niches but I 110% believe more places to shine is good for any investment we make!)
Too bad it sucks lmao.
-Orphix control raises rather quickly- not too much for even a hackney crew to make it to 3 reliably with crap gear, but "juuuuust" too quickly to feel fair for a random crew which, say what you want, balancing around randoms isn't a bad choice in a MP coop game like warframe.
-Rewards are utter dog crap. Whoever looked at a genuinely challenging game-mode and said "Hmmmmmm, 100 endo outta do it" is fucking braindead. The fact that for all levels of Orphix you must do 12 before getting a SINGLE arcane, meanwhile even a group of quad mote amps can get the same rewards or more in a fraction of the time and with no investment, is insane.
-The Loop has problems. If it was just cycling through "boss" figures with minor (extremely so) mechanics (kill shielding pylons and hit weak spot) it'd be passable. It'd have problems, but it'd be in a better state. But instead it's a lot of running around the map to each orphix, being tossed out of your frame because your frame is dead weight in this game mode, enduring clunky platforming as your mech (or just void slinging and calling it down again- and again- and again- and again), the tilest is HORRENDOUS for both void slinging and mech mobility, and then you sigh as your deep run dies because the orphix on this tile has its weakspot pointed at the most awkward angle imaginable and you ran Voidrig instead of Bonewidow and in the last second of the slightly-to-fast orphix drain you missed, bringing it all to a close and granting you about as much loot as a fresh level 8 Cetus Adventurer made on their first run against Eidolons with randoms.
-SLOW. SLOW SLOW SLOW SLOW SLOW. Following the traditional AABC rotation with each rotation being multiple rounds isn't new- hello Defense, hello Defection, hello Disruption etc etc, but no one likes a rotation that outstays it's welcome and 3 orphix per rotation is NUTTY. You need to do NINE of these bastards to even get out of A rotation and start getting the amazing rewards like.... some Zetki engines, oh dear. So we are right back to arguably the biggest issue-
-Rewards + Slow = BIG PROBLEMS. The fact that you need to do a full 12 to get ANYTHING is a PROBLEM. Rewards from A and B are worthless, full stop! Top to bottom! Venus to Veil! WTH!!!!
Like, I genuinely don't think the barriers to entry are the killing blow to this gamemode, it's nice to have a bit of content that makes things like farming Mech Mods worth a damn. I think it's the combined factors of this content being barrier'd to all hell AND giving horrible returns AND not being particularly well balanced even with those barriers met AND being slow as all hell per rotation AND having direct competition with a piece of content that's been on farm for years AND - others can complain more than me I'm sure.
Honestly, I mean it when I say I wish I liked this. My very first run against this was solo without a mech and I genuinely thought "Oh, this is neat" and when I found out it's an alternative to Eidolons I thought "Oh!!! I enjoyed that I think!" and then you look closer and it just all falls apart.
It's a mess of a gamemode. It needs shorter waves. It needs some retooling. It could benefit from a better tileset, hell it could benefit from allowing warframes to get involved- it'd still be beneficial to use your mech for the killing blows and the gameplay loop would improve just by virtue of us being ALLOWED to do something other than void sling and use our mech.
It's garbage. Entirely pointless to play garbage.
I hope in 3 years I see it reworked as an afterthought to an update centered around like Railjack decorating or something. Maybe then Eidolons will stop being a necessary evil and we can actually say there is variety in grinding out arcanes.
Also, yeah, it's weird as all hell that the corpus fight us during these missions. It seems like a no-brainer moment that would instill a minor sense of realism to the mission if you started it- corpus were enemies, and then when the orphix spawns you hear a load-speaker call saying to ignore the tenno and attack the sentient and the corpus were (entirely unhelpful and pointless) allies like an invasion mission or something.
They don't bring the difficulty beyond being annoying, but that's honestly worse. They could be a neat feature in the mission type, instead they are a minor pest, why?
Honestly surprised they haven't band-aid'ed this content by putting Terry arcanes on A, Gant B, Hydro C (at least for the Veil version)
It'd still be faster and more efficient to just run eidolons but at least it'd give this content a hint of value. But I've gotten my rant out plenty enough by now. Here's to all the various dead ends of content being made valuable in some update 6 years after we've forgotten said content exists lol.
This. Seriously, the mission type was good as a limited time operation with the Sentients getting ready to invade slowly before the New War during Orphix Venom, but making it into permanent nodes just sucks. At least for the operation you didn't have to rely on grinding out to get the arcane drops, you could just straight up buy them, with hanging out as long as you possibly could meaning you got more operation credits. As is now, it's just a damn pain. Hopefully this does get a tweak ultimately, otherwise it's just gonna be another unplayed ghost node
Hard agree on the rewards aspect. I don't think the game mode is as hellish as you describe in regards to spawn rate and rotations but the rewards totally kill any potential this game mode could have.
Sure, you COULD run Orphix to farm both arcanes and endo/Railjack intrinsics at the same time, but you're far better off running void storms for the latter (which also results in prime junk/ducats and Holokeys/Sevagoth/Epitaph parts). If you're only there for the arcanes, then Eidolons are infinitely better.
Considering the total amount of investment you need to play this game mode without barely making it to rotation A,first you need a decent railjack for the beginning missions, and then you need an extremely well built necramech and operator, the rewards are very, very underwhelming.
Personally think they should make it 6 resonators per rotation *BUT* the rewards for each rotation should be something valuable, like tauforged shards, Steel essence (this is clearly not easier than SP),Radiant eidolon shard, etc.
At least get rid of the corpus if the sentients are ones trying to get control..the aurax and nullifier units are already a pain since Arquebex cannot dmg nullifier units (or at least for me idk if it’s a known bug).
Other than veil proxima they are easy, just take too much time to be worth over eidolons, so yeah they need to have better rewards or far shorter rotations. 12 orphixes for rotation C to get a crappy arcane that you get from Terry in 6-5x less time (and thats being a slow eidolon casual, not a sweaty speedrunner).
Best mission in the game
LMAO
Masochist ;-;
Aha, let me get this straight, they made a complete new mode in theory based in pilot and combat big multicrew ships in OPEN SPACE only to forced you to play in operator mode or necramech locked in tiny corredors, And even worst this is mandatory if you want to progress through the empyrean star map. Must be a joke. A very bad joke that made me left empyrean mode unfinished, I refuse to play this shitty mode and refuse take a taxi beyond to skip this this shitty levels .
Plain and simple: the worst mission in all game.
Damn even with a 4 forma voidrig and maxxed out rage and repair i barely made it through the mandatory 3
And just how thick that orphix armor is exactly? even with a corrosive modded arquebex it took a while to kill them
Voidrig is for starter orphix mission.
Bonewidows is essentiel to deal with High level ones.
Forma x5 is minimum for tier3 Orphix mission which is harder than the original event; why ? Some players request it n' [DE] Made it.
During the event, we faced all along the level 30 or 60 if my memory is correct. Also the goal of this event was to make a max score is a good after top clans and top players, voluntarily asked the party host to slow down their machine as much as possible to slow down the internal clock of their machine. The score was based on the speed and number of kills made. However, there were only 36 orphix max per run so players turned to kill to optimize their scores. However as the levels did not rise, even players found the event too easy.
Note: the game mode is not up to the effort you have to make to get the C-rotation rewards especially in Pluto Proxima and Veil Proxima.
4 forma Voidrig? Ouch. Both Necramechs are heavy Forma sinks. The standard Orphix builds for either Voidrig or Bonewidow have 9 Formas each.
This game has the general problem with those idiot devs, who either cant count to 3 or who just dont give a flying fuck, who very obviously balancing their shit for pc players using mouse/keyboard. I am playing on Switch (and yes im an idiot for that), shitty low res graphics, shitty stuttering 20-25 fps (sometimes even lower especially in 4 player multiplayer) along with using a controller. If i'd play this on gaming pc with neat graphics neat fps and mouse/keybord, i'd cheese through everything with ease.
Kudos to all Switch players who still do well, kudos to console players who are using a controller. And pc players should shut the triplefuck up, they have nothing to complain about because they have an much easier time, thanks to idiot devs who do crossplay but dont bring console players on par with pc players.
