- The extra status type from Magnetic gives us an extra 20k+ sustained dps from Galvanized Shot. (If you're doing long endless steel-path missions against high level grineer, swap the kuva element to Heat for lower stat numbers, but higher overall damage from the extra heat procs)
- Cascadia flare lets us ramp up damage quickly without requiring any kills and to higher peaks than any merciless.
Deep Freeze and Pathogen Rounds can be replaced with a matching element riven mod with Multishot/crits/fire rate and one of the many negatives which do not affect this weapon. THEN and ONLY THEN can you fit an expel mod onto this weapon. Every other mod just adds more damage already.
We use crit mods because the crit multiplier is insane, especially when tied with one of the many options to gain extra crit chance. The absolute best options being flat crit rate applied from Arcane Avenger and [Cat's Eye], followed by multiplicative crit rate from [Volt]'s shield or flat 200% from [Charm].
