Molt Efficiency is an Arcane Enhancement for Warframes that grants additional Ability Duration over a period of time while Shields are active.

Acquisition[]
Molt Efficiency can be purchased from Cavalero for 7,500, requiring Rank 3 - Guardian with The Holdfasts. It can also be dropped by Thrax Centurion, Thrax Legatus, and Void Angels on the Zariman Ten Zero.

Farming Tips[]
- Thrax enemies are abundant in Mobile Defense and Void Cascade missions.
- The Zariman Arcane drop is considered as a mod drop, and is thus affected by The Steel Path and Mod Drop Chance Booster.
Notes[]
- Duration bonus is additive to Ability Duration mods.
- When all shields are lost, any accumulated bonus is lost.
- Once shields begin replenishing, the duration bonus starts accumulating again.
- Naturally,
Nidus,
Inaros, and
Kullervo do not benefit from this Arcane as they do not deploy Shields.
Tips[]
- An ability with refreshable/extendable duration, such as
Splinter Storm and
Lasting Covenant, highly benefits from Molt Efficiency as the duration bonus upon cast will always be retained, even when the Arcane buff is temporarily disabled by losing Shields.
- The duration bonus accumulates during the mission entrance cinematic when loading into a mission from the Orbiter. Not skipping this cinematic will guarantee the maximum duration bonus at the start of the mission.

Update 32.1 (2022-11-02)
- Fixed your Warframe’s Ability Duration stat increasing every time you mouse over it in the Helminth UI while Molt Efficiency is equipped (UI only issue, did not impact in-mission).
Hotfix 31.6.4 (2022-07-14)
- Also fixed the Molt Arcanes and Arcane Pulse not indicating that they will give an extra Warframe revive at Rank 3 and up.

Very useful on invis frames imho.
Was just thinking about buying a bunch from Cavalero for my Ash invis built...already over 20 second duration
for now (29/12/2022) there is a bug with molt effiency, who work on archwing
I call that a feature, same thing happens with Arcane Avenger, they both apply in Archwing missions and I'm really hoping they keep that functionality intact

Question/Scenario: If the arcanes max (36%) is and i activate GLOOM.
In the event i loose my shields, but havent toggled gloom off.. will gloom still use the +36% duration bonus when calculating the energy drain/s/m ?

They do. And also once the ability is activated the shield doesn't matter for the energy consumption rate. It matters only at the moment of activation like how Energy Conversion affects channeling abilities.
They better leave this feature alone.

Does Guass benefit from ability duration?
Gauss from my experience benefits greatly from ability duration as it allows both his 2 and 4 to last longer. His 4 benefits more so since at max battery, he literally becomes immortal.
Therefore Molt Efficiency is probably a good choice on Gauss.
Very good on nidus and inaros, try it.

That's because duration is calculated on cast, shields are removed after that

You are not misunderstanding. As long as your shield doesn't go to 0 you will have extra duration.

Her turret base duration is extremely low compared to most abilities. At most a fully decked out version of this arcane adds at most about a second of extra time.
