Intrinsics Points are earned simply by playing Railjack missions and earning Affinity within. Earn Affinity by killing enemies or exploring/completing mission Points of Interest. Use your Points to unlock Progression across all Intrinsics categories!
—Upon first interacting with the Intrinsics
Intrinsics is a skill point based system that determines how adept the player is in utilizing all the systems aboard their Railjack. Intrinsics affect the player rather than the Railjack, and thus players can use any abilities unlocked by Intrinsics even when they are aboard another player's Railjack. Players can access their Intrinsics via the Dry Dock console, the front railjack console in the orbiter or from the Orbiter's menu, Esc → Railjack → Intrinsics.
There are five main Intrinsic classes that the player can invest in, with each class having a max rank of 10: Tactical, Piloting, Gunnery, Engineering, and Command.

Intrinsic Points are earned by gaining Affinity from completing Empyrean missions and performing actions that aid in the mission's success, such as repairing hull damage, killing boarding parties, etc. The rate at which these points are earned is affected by Affinity Boosters and the relevant Charm buff.
Each Intrinsic rank gained rewards the player with 1,500 Mastery points. Ranking all five classes to rank 10 costs a total of 5,115 Intrinsics and awards 75,000 Mastery Rank experience ((1500x10)x5).
There is no way to reallocate points once invested.
Mechanics[]
Each Intrinsic point requires 1000 Affinity (1/10 of Affinity earned only goes into Instrinsic gain) which can be earned through a variety of activities during Empyrean missions, and unlike regular missions Affinity Range is infinite so all Squad members benefit regardless of their locations.
Increase your focus on the big picture of battle. Improved Tactical Avionics, Archwing Catapult maneuvers and powerful Tactical deployment abilities.
—In-Game Description
The Tactical Intrinsics grants access to the Railjack's Tactical Menu, allowing players to deploy various remote effects as well as teleport from outside and within the vessel.

Description
Notes
1
Tactical System
Deploy Tactical Mods and access Crew tracking system via Tactical Menu L .
Allows opening of the Tactical Menu by pressing L while in a Railjack. This menu shows a map of the Railjack, the position of teammates, and their Health and Shield bars. The Tactical Menu also allows the usage of Tactical Mods that provide various benefits to the Railjack's interior systems.
Pressing RMB on the map places a waypoint at the location of the cursor.
Players can remotely activate their own Warframe's ability through the Tactical Menu.
2
Ability Kinesis and Overseer
Warframe abilities can be deployed as tactical support. Enables crew chase camera.
Players can now remotely activate crewmates' Warframe abilities while in the Tactical Menu. Players can select a Warframe ability from among the players present, which can then be cast by left-clicking on the desired location on the Tactical Map.
Only one pre-selected ability can be used per player, with the available ability depending on the selected Warframe.
Allows the player to use the Tactical Menu to see from other player's perspectives. This includes the ability to see the other player's current Tactical Map by pressing Tab from within the Tactical Menu, allowing for the deployment of Warframe abilities via Ability Kinesis into places outside of the Railjack.
3
Command Link
Fast Travel within vessel. Coordinate squad members with command interface.
Also enables the player to send basic pre-scripted mission commands to squad members from the Tactical Menu. The command will be issued to the selected squad member by a voice line from Cephalon Cy.
4
Recall Warp
Omni gear can be used to warp aboard the ship from anywhere.
Equipping the Omni outside of the Railjack will teleport the user back inside after 5 seconds.
This teleport cannot be cancelled after activation.
Cannot be used from inside the Corpus Ship until all players have reached extraction.
5
Deploy Necramechs
Deploy Necramech in all Railjack missions.
Allows Necramech Summon to be used in grounded combat within Railjack missions.
6
Tactical Efficiency
Reduces Energy Consumption for Battle Mods by 25%.
The cost reduction for Ability Kinesis is applied separately after all modifiers from Warframe mods have been accounted for.
7
Tactical Response
Reduces Tactical Mod cooldown by 20%.
Stacks multiplicatively with other cooldown reductions.
8
Archwing Tactical Blink and Necramech Cooldown
Reduces Archwing Blink cooldown by 25%. Reduces Necramech summon cooldown by 25%.
Stacks multiplicatively with other cooldown reductions.
Stacks with the Rank 7 Tactical Response ability for a combined 36% reduction in Tactical Mods cooldown.
10
Join Warp
Warp from ship to crew member.
Teleport to the target crew member's last location after 5 seconds.
Notes[]
Some Intrinsics can apply outside of Empyrean missions, most notably those that affect Archwings and Necramechs.
The Intrinsics Archwing bonuses have no effect on Titania's Razorwing, which uses Archwing controls.
Gaining an Intrinsic Point makes a rank-up sound effect.
Popular methods to "farm" Intrinsics include long Survival runs on Luckless Expanse (Venus Proxima), which uses your regular Warframe loadout once the main objective is reached, and stealth killing in Veil Proxima.
Added a new Profile > Railjack option that now holds Intrinsics menus.
Added clarifying information to the Command Intrinsic Rank 8 that Kuva Lich Crew members are Defenders only (at least, uh, for now. We’re reading the feedback).
Intrinsic points can no longer be gained once all available Intrinsics are maxed out. If you are already above the maximum, your additional points have not been lost.
Fixed railjack engineering 10 intrinsic not working for clients.
Fixed bug where Intrinsics could be kept on mission abort, which was never intended.

Is it me, or does the "Reflex Aim" do squat about "snapping to" the nearest lead indicator? It feels as if this wasn't just a waste of intrinsics but actually an overall negative, with the faster heat accretion.
Are you zooming out and back in each target for it to snap. It doesn't snap to targets if you are zoomed in all the time.
My disappointment was immeasurable and my day was ruined.
Well, not really, it was the last intrinsic i acquired, so no more mindless farming yay
You kinda need to mouse onto or near the lead reticle. but once you zoom in once you do so it locks your aim to the lead reticle and follows it so you can just go brr without needing to move the aim as much.
But it probably doesn't find as much use cause people probably just spam missiles etc.
I Personally use the manual cooldown heatsinks thing more, cause it lets you skip the 3 second cooldown by hitting R so you can just hold fire and dump mag after mag of turret fire out.
But thats probably why the lock-on costs more heat, cause it knows you can just manual reload semi-instantly regardless if you're on the ball.
Honestly i love this system.
Go fuck urself
Trash system tbh
I don't understand why people don't like Railjack. I love it too.
Because most asshole in this game just wanna turn off their brain and shoot like abouslute brain dead instead actually enjoying it
3.5 hours of survival void storm, 5000 intrinsics (I had around 1000 already), I think spawns could have been better cuz KPM was really bad, so I'm sure it can be done much faster.
I didn't want to try farming them with stealth kills, if anyone has done so maybe we can compare the efficiency.
Maybe would have been faster in a squad, but the strategy is always simpler solo (and u can pause the game lol)
Must add that I had a booster
Had around 100*... Hopefully wont have to add anything more...
Good info
I stealth kill using Ivara Prime with a Fragor Prime, after sneaking through several mission types for ~35m on the fastest run while mostly retaining a 500% Stealth Affinity, I was earning about ~90 Intrinsics per run in Veil Proxima. This is with an affinity booster too. Now I may not be the fastest when it comes to clearing, combine with how buggy stealth kills can be and randomly resetting the kill chain despite no alarms on a sleeping target, it seems like your method is vastly superior.
Fixing hull, Putting out fires, Grounding electrical faults... will grant Intrinsics if they are made by NPC crewmates?
Ops, now im logged in.
Fixing hull, Putting out fires, Grounding electrical faults... will grant Intrinsics if they are made by NPC crewmates?
Apparently not
I can confirm I am seeing affinity popup when my crewmate engineer fixes those things, therefore it should count towards intrinsic gains
There is one thing I want from Intrinsics for normal use.
Just one.
It's not Archwing or Necramech, but still nice to have.
Overseer, please.
Being able to see what my allies are up to from any distance is incredibly nice to have in missions like Survival or Disruption.
Is it THAT helpful? No, not really.
Would I use it a lot? Yes.
You can see what crewmates are doing from the Tactical menu.
I meant the Tactical Menu itself.
Have that... but in all missions.
It wouldn't even be that difficult, really.
We have a dedicated button for it-- one that doesn't exactly need much code to be rewritten I imagine.
It also opens up a lot fun options for other missions like on the Jupiter Tilesets where you could manually set off traps to stun enemies.
You still need to sit down and have it charge up, so it's not 100% instantaneous. So planning ahead is key.
Very cool that you get necramech and archwing passive bonuses outside of raljack
I was not expecting this at all, but it's true. Now my Necramech is even more absurdly powerful.
Has anyone else used on call on their Lich tho
Yep -works great!
Fighter level = Intrinsics level?
What?
No
To any console players that don't think the Rank 9 Gunnery intrinsic isn't working, you might need to set the input for reload on Railjack controls. For some reason it wasn't set on XBox at least.
Thank you.
Is spy missions best Intrinsic farm now?
Best way is still stealth kill
Or just play void storms on veil proxima so you get more rewards per time and if you have affinity boosters youll get intrinsics. Running survival gives lots of intrinsics as well.
Is LShift L3 on PS4? also what is the best intrinsic farm? some of the archwing + necramech bonuses are sweet af
Personally I think the best intrinsic farm is taking your ship to veil proxima, bring a couple of friends, 2-3 is fine to speed it up.
One pilot, one gunner, another one inside the POI where you destroy the core, or do the side objectives.
Usually doing the skirmish is fine. Do whatever to get affinity.
Could also go double 5 repair crew man, and 1 defender and just sit and chill as they auto repair and net you 5k affinity per repair.
Are you sure they give you xp? Because they weren't giving me the xp from gunner kills
They do give XP. But don't forget that Warframe has anti-AFK countermeasures. If you idle for too long, you stop gaining Affinity. This also applies to Solo.
Maybe put a brick on your Jump key, or something.
When i earn intrinsics in missions there is a "caps" shown or im not sure what it is, xxx/1000 is that the amount of points i have spent into the classes? does it mean i cant spent more than 1000 points and cant max everything? thx in advanced
Are you talking about when viewing mission progress? The left says how many intrinsic points you have and the right says x/1000. The x/1000 is just how much progress you have to the next intrinsic, it's kinda like a better xp/affinity indicator. Iirc at the end of a mission it will say how many intrinsics you earned, the only 'cap' is 5115 because you wouldn't need to go past that to max out everything.
Is Command 10 out?
Not yet. I believe devs have planned its release with U30.5.
I see. It didn’t say “Coming Soon...” anymore, so I was confused
IDK how to get command plz help me know
I can now say i've maxed this bs on 2 platforms
On Tactical Level 3 command link "Also enables the player to send basic pre-scripted mission commands to squad members from the Tactical Menu"
So what exactly do you press to do these commands?
All I see is roles and seeing what they are doing
It is either through the tactical menu (default PC L) or the gear wheel (default PC Q), I do not remember.
What about for console?
Da Arkus, you need to look at a player to do it, in the menu you thought to do it in. Crew Members don’t apply to it.
So, I have a friend, they do not have their own railjack built yet. They have tons of intrinsics. They are unable to access the intrinsics at the dojo, there is no option to do so on their orbiter, and it does not appear within their profile screen. Any idea how to fix that? And she is not supposed to have to build the railjack first, so lets skip that.
Just go to profile intrinsics then upgrade them at least thats how i think it works
Recently changed: Railjack -> Intrinsics, then go ham
On the left side in the orbiter, theres an intrinsics console
The Command is locked can someone update on how to unlock this class?
I have the same problem
It should be noted that lichs do not have their kuva weapons modded
So they deal less dmg than crews?
An option in command, that would be nice, is to Limit access to certain ability.
I dont want others driving my ship if I end up doing something else. Dont need people firing off the Big cannon and losing all my ammo.
It wont spend your ammo anymore. it seems everyone got their own now.
